You can tell the baristas here really care about making a good, fun and creative drink for their customers and the regular + seasonal menu reflects that---as well as the time they take in making your drink. I love the coffee - especially their signature drinks, their baked goods, gourmet savory fare, excellent guest service... and the refreshing, faith-filled Christian worship music they play over the sound system. (The worship music is one of the keys that makes the Ladder Coffee brand iconic in Spokane.) This place has really good coffee and great vibes, I like the location, it overlooks the train tracks and is very peaceful, butttt it's a touch expensive for what it is. I got a honey lavender latte and it was fantastic but 8 dollars for a coffee (before tip) was a little steep for it not being anything particularly special. Service was awesome! I was a regular here for years and genuinely loved this place. At a certain point, I became uncomfortable with information I learned about internal management and staff treatment. After seeing multiple long-time employees leave within a short period, I chose to step away as well. This place is great!! I went to this place for the first time a year ago, and just came back again before catching our flight this year. Last year, they had a super cool bakery in the other room, it's disappointing that is now closed down. But, they have really good breakfast sandwiches, and delightful coffee!!! I am very picky about my coffee it's hard to find someone who will make it just right. There was only one guy running the place when we came, he was handling a lot of customers making coffee and food, but my hat is off to him, he was doing a great job juggling all those details by himself. read more

I'm new to the area, and this is my favorite coffee shop I've tried in Spokane so far! I got a honey latte with hemp milk (first time trying hemp milk and it was lovely), and the scrambled egg toast. Both were delicious. All of the baristas are so friendly and sweet, and were very ok with me staying several hours to study. The color scheme and decor are beautiful and I enjoyed their music selection too. I live in Pullman but will definitely be making the trip back here on the weekends to study! read more

Great study spot, a super cute interior, and the service is very fast. Nothing really stands out with this cafe but everything is really beautiful. There's a lot of green and natural light from the windows. They have some seasonal drinks which is always nice. Prices are pretty standard not too expensive or not very cheap. I had a mixed experience at Ladder. We ordered Toast with Butter & Jelly and it was forgotten about. It took over a half hour before we spoke up. They were kind enough to comp us for the food/wait - much appreciated, but was odd to have that forgotten because it wasn't particularly busy at he the time. The "coffee"/espresso was also mixed - both with almond milk. The Birds & The Bees, seasonal drink, was good. I'd order it again. The Brown Sugar & Clove tasted very earthy. Unpleasant. Almost like "dirt." Wouldn't order again. Aside from that, the staff was nice and the shop was cute. It's a "cool" spot/vibe for the area. Love the vibe here. It's right next door to a well-known bakery, Rind & Wheat, and I hope that means they use their bread/pastries whenever possible! Came in at the end of Oct. Seats inside we're still open and we managed to snag a table by the windows to get some sunshine. The one thing I will say here is blinds or some shade for my eyes would have been nice (blinds/curtains just up top or shaded glass on the top so it wasn't as blinding). The bread was super thick and fluffy. I would venture to say it is indeed from Rind & Wheat, but if I'm wrong, their bread supplier is fantastic. My toast had fresh heirloom cherry tomatoes. His had an egg and pickled onions. I unfortunately don't remember the names of either. 5/5 for the one with the egg. Mine was really good but 4/5 because I was hoping for a little something to cut the flavors. Like balsamic vinegar or something salty. Really, this is me being nit-picky. I don't drink coffee but they had a good variety of teas available. This place is super cute and reminds me of coffee shops on the west side of the state, or maybe even Portland. Loved the decor and the vibe. They had seats marked off to keep people distanced. It's a weird time. I hope they make it through to the other side of this pandemic. We're almost there. read more

Ample amount of outlets in the back area for your electronic devices if needed. Their seasonal menu had a few options that I wanted to try. We stopped for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. The dark roast coffee was very good. Breakfast and "lunch" sandwich were also very good and prepared fresh. Cute place decorated the very common black and white mod style. I'll preface that the employees were very nice and polite and clearly want to do a good job. However, I foresee the white board cards they were using as order tickets causing issues with wait times if they were busier. It definitely seemed to slow the ordering process down by punching into the cash register and then cleaning a white board and writing down the order. However, it didn't really effect our experience overall so I wouldn't let that deter you from checking it out. read more

What a great coffee shop with a parking lot (yes, free parking)! Oh and the back porch will be a great view spot in the summer, overlooking the Spokane river and Maple Street bridge. The space is awesome inside with a lot of natural light coming in from all the windows facing West (at least I think that's the direction). It's long and narrowish, but with plenty of seating (upfront and in back) and different configurations for multiple needs of patrons, whether you're working or having a conversation or a meeting. Clean, pristine, caffeine! Avocado toast is the new Krispy Kreme experience. Is this a highlight? The floor is constructed out of a light wood that brightens up the space where you can enjoy a cup of coffee while working. There are quite a few work spaces as well as a couch where you can relax. The wall of windows open out onto a spacious parking lot (well space for at least 14 cars). I really like the windows. They don't have soy milk but they do have oat milk and almond milk. Prices for lattes and other speciality coffees are competitive and you will pay around $5.00 per drink. Don't forget to tip! It is always nice to experience local coffee shops making an impact on the economy. Try out this establishment, you will enjoy the experience. read more
