I set up here to work for a bit while on a work trip. It was perfect. The space was bright, there's plenty of seating, and my Americano was delicious! The staff was kind and helpful!

This place has really good coffee and great vibes, I like the location, it overlooks the train tracks and is very peaceful, butttt it's a touch expensive for what it is. I got a honey lavender latte and it was fantastic but 8 dollars for a coffee (before tip) was a little steep for it not being anything particularly special. Service was awesome! Would definitely come back if I was in this part of town again!

I'm new to the area, and this is my favorite coffee shop I've tried in Spokane so far! I got a honey latte with hemp milk (first time trying hemp milk and it was lovely), and the scrambled egg toast. Both were delicious. All of the baristas are so friendly and sweet, and were very ok with me staying several hours to study. The color scheme and decor are beautiful and I enjoyed their music selection too. I live in Pullman but will definitely be making the trip back here on the weekends to study!

Friendly barista, the sizes were quite small but overall not bad. The matcha was not very sweet around a 4/10 on sweetness scale. The environment of the establishment was very clean and happy.

Great study spot, a super cute interior, and the service is very fast. Nothing really stands out with this cafe but everything is really beautiful. There's a lot of green and natural light from the windows. They have some seasonal drinks which is always nice. Prices are pretty standard not too expensive or not very cheap. They have a couple of bigger tables and a handful of small tables. There is also a bathroom out in the hallway. Ladder Coffee has a free parking lot that is connected to a plant shop (Fern).

Love the vibe here. It's right next door to a well-known bakery, Rind & Wheat, and I hope that means they use their bread/pastries whenever possible! Came in at the end of Oct. Seats inside we're still open and we managed to snag a table by the windows to get some sunshine. The one thing I will say here is blinds or some shade for my eyes would have been nice (blinds/curtains just up top or shaded glass on the top so it wasn't as blinding). The bread was super thick and fluffy. I would venture to say it is indeed from Rind & Wheat, but if I'm wrong, their bread supplier is fantastic. My toast had fresh heirloom cherry tomatoes. His had an egg and pickled onions. I unfortunately don't remember the names of either. 5/5 for the one with the egg. Mine was really good but 4/5 because I was hoping for a little something to cut the flavors. Like balsamic vinegar or something salty. Really, this is me being nit-picky. I don't drink coffee but they had a good variety of teas available. This place is super cute and reminds me of coffee shops on the west side of the state, or maybe even Portland. Loved the decor and the vibe. They had seats marked off to keep people distanced. It's a weird time. I hope they make it through to the other side of this pandemic. We're almost there.

Why is this place still open. Bad attitude, bad coffee, poor customer service. It deserves a negative rating.

AMBIANCE Parking: Downtown parking is downtown parking thus requiring some patience. There is some street parking and garage parking nearby. Seating: Inside seating, plenty of cozy nooks and tables, with room for about 40-50 people. Vibes: You gotta love Spokane. A growing town but a small town feel. The spot itself feels like a love letter to books and community with that old soul essence. You walk in and your senses are welcomed from the aroma of coffee and the hustle and bustle of employees and customers moving around. One side you'll see the cafe but a good portion is a lot of shelves with books and gifts. A very stimulating space, great place to study or get work done. CAFES & RETAILS Cold Brew - Hazelnut (Recommend) They have these house brews with selective flavors. I got a staple hazelnut that provided a nice nutty earthy feel. The coffee was strong as it kept me up for a busy day. Retails (Recommend) I didn't get anything but if my luggage had room I probably totally would have. Great range of books and creative thoughtful gifts (bookmarks, candles, and trinkets). CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and welcoming. The staff contributes to the warm atmosphere and makes the space feel approachable. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Good coffee, cozy vibes, and a sense of community that makes you want to stay awhile. Atticus isn't just a coffee shop but a neighborly space that brings the locals and visitors together. If you're in Spokane and need a place to relax, come through! TIPS: * Take your time and browse the books and gifts, and enjoy the specials!

My daughter had the kids spaghetti with chicken added, and she confidently declared it the best spaghetti she's ever had... so there! Overall, a great experience with standout service and tasty food. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu before giving that fifth star.

Indaba didn't just check the boxes, it made me wonder why every coffee shop doesn't operate this way. Walk in and the space stops you. Exposed brick, warm wood, art on every wall, and a ceiling that opens up the whole room. The seating runs from cozy couches to high tops to proper tables. no bad seat in the house. Outlets everywhere. A conference room available to rent. Whoever designed this place actually thought about the people using it. The staff made us feel welcome without trying too hard. That's a skill. We ordered hot and iced mochas and both were dialed in. My wife went bacon avocado toast, creamy avocado against crispy bacon, exactly right. I had the sunbutter banana toast and almost ordered a second one. We grabbed an apple fritter to go. It didn't survive the drive. The background music hits just right, easy listening layered under the natural buzz of a full, happy room. Prices are exactly what you'd expect to pay for coffee done well. Before you leave, browse the retail wall. Solid selection of beans to take home, plus some genuinely cute goods worth picking up. This place has real soul. You'll feel it.

He was very helpful and willing to discuss the possibilities to help me land on my drink of choice. He proceeded to make me the best "dirty chai" I have maybe ever had. Hatch beaker + burr transcends all of these. I never expected that I would find one of the best lattes I've ever tasted in Spokane of all places after being a Portland/Seattle coffee elitist. The seasonal dulce de leche iced latte was so strong in the best way and brought me back to life with how flavorful it was. Seven dollars even and worth every penny. You can see in the attached photos that I really tried to get every drop of the drink. It was so good that I got another latte to go (cardamom), also so so good. Everything else: cute space with lots of plants and two tables (but other seating available in the commons), barista who is clearly very knowledgeable about every part of the coffee and actually likes making the drinks. Really nice service and you get updated on your drink even when it's busy which is nice, I've never had that in other cafes. I really can't reiterate how amazing this coffee was. It was fairly busy when we came in, but there was no line at the counter, and it didn't take long for our drinks to come out. There's plenty of seating inside, and everybody seems in a good mood and everybody seems like they're having a good time. They were also baking some kind of bread, and it just smelled absolutely incredible. Although I didn't have any. They also do this thing where they give people... At least certain people... Free coffee. Which I thought was really cool and really generous of them. So why four stars instead of five? And this isn't exactly their fault, but parking sucks. It's street parking, there's a meter, there is a lot but it's confusing and the rules are confusing. So if you're walking from somewhere else this place is great, if you're driving in to meet for coffee it's a little bit annoying, if you just want to stop in and get something to go, it's going to be a big hassle.
