I must have sounded desperate when I sent the lonely message to Jason the owner of Crystal Lake Transmission. He texted me back in under an hour. He spent a great deal of time explaining all the details. I decided to trust him and we had AAA tow my Jeep to his location and it arrived within 3 hours. She explained to me that they couldn't take the shaft down because the exhaust would have to come down ( not true ) and that would be more money . She then added to it telling me they had to drop the transmission to look at the rear differential that was inside the transmission ( not true ) that's a whole different part and I am sure most of you can guess where the rear differential is .
