I must have sounded desperate when I sent the lonely message to Jason the owner of Crystal Lake Transmission. He texted me back in under an hour. He spent a great deal of time explaining all the details. I decided to trust him and we had AAA tow my Jeep to his location and it arrived within 3 hours. His communication was terrific through the whole process and He gave me a great price well under what I expected. My car is purring like a kitten and I am glad I trusted him. Actually cost $139.26 but who who cares . So they took the shaft down and I got a call back from a woman calling herself the manager . She explained to me that they couldn't take the shaft down because the exhaust would have to come down ( not true ) and that would be more money . She then added to it telling me they had to drop the transmission to look at the rear differential that was inside the transmission ( not true ) that's a whole different part and I am sure most of you can guess where the rear differential is . Treat your customers like idiots that will always guarantee return business . Take your cars somewhere else do yourself a favor .

When my rental my insurance covered tan out and they needed to keep my car longer to finish the repairs, they paid for an additional rental with no cost to me. He calls the next day to lie to my face and tell me that it is the blower motor(which was incorrect) that because it is a newer vehicle I could not get an "aftermarket" part. This was most likely done because I was a woman. Paul didn't realize I was raised by my dad who is a mechanic. So I finished the call with Paul playing the "damsel in distress" begging him to save me. I then hung up the phone and called autozone. When Autozone confirmed they had the aftermarket part in hand for 50% less than Paul wanted to charge me, I called Paul back Initially, Paul ate crow and agreed to install the part I purchased. But of course wouldn't guarantee the work. I said, It is a simple install. The part has a lifetime warranty its fine. So I dropped off the part. Paul of course was nowhere to be seen. The mechanic grabbed the part and walked away. Paul was quick to call me up as soon as I turned out of the parking lot to tell me the part was wrong. I told him I would be picking my car up. I walked in, they had supposedly my blower motor(from my vehicle) on the counter next to the one I purchased, however, it had an extra piece protruding from it to make it look different. I told them to give me my car and it escalated into a screaming match. They were going to charge me 149 to diagnose after giving me a 488 total charge which included parts, labor and diagnostics. Luckily Paul's temper got the better of him(he didn't like being called out for his lack of integrity). He said he didn't want my money and I waited in the parking lot for over 30 minutes while they"put my car back together" Hey Paul, it wasn't the blower motor you moron! Don't assume every woman who walks in the door knows nothing about cars. Integrity goes a long way in life Paul. Chalk it up to a lesson learned and do better next time! Be blessed!
