I worked with Franco at Biggers Mazda, buying a certified Mazda CX5, 2022. This is a very different dealer from most. I did not hear "what would it take to have you buy a car today?" I was not subjected to a talk with the manager. It was easy to know exactly what the price of the car would be. Franco has 15 years of experience, and was more a teacher and patient listener than a salesman. I took my time in the buying process, wanting to be absolutely sure. The dealership in general is laid back. I an a first time Mazda owner. I have close friends who have Mazda as well as family members who have one. I originally had a 2016 Kia Forte. I was in a pretty bad car accident and my Kia was totaled. Since I am a little older know and work better job, I knew I wanted a midsize/crossover SUV to be higher off the ground. I worked with Elias and he was so kind to not only me but also my family who came with. Elias took me on a test drive of the Mazda CX30 and I fell in love with the car. I felt very comfortable on the test drive and did not feel pressured AT ALL by him . He taught me and showed me all of the safety features Mazda cars have standard and the car drove like a dream. I ended up purchasing a brand new 2025 Mazda CX30 and I LOVE THIS CAR. When it came time to paper work, the general manager, Ron, helped get the paper work together and was just so kind to myself and my family. He helped make sure that I got that car and left the same day with it since I needed a car for work so badly. I had a 1:00 appt and at 2:30 I received a TEXT with 7 "needs immediate attention" items and I was to check off, from the text what I wanted done. No personal contact! Not only did I receive this text but I find out that the $711 repair that I had an appointment for had yet to be started. the total cost of repairs would be over $1500. I had the ghosting issue repaired and covered the Warrenty work done. I then made an appointment at our local repair shop...NONE of the other fluid repairs needed to be done, NONE! I could go into more disappointments at Biggers. I do NOT RECOMMEND the service department! read more

In 2022 when we bought our CX50 other local Mazda dealers were charging significantly over invoice and often required packages such as "Appearance" and "Protection" to be added to the transaction. Joe C. our sales representative, helped us get the car at a fair price and get a fair trade-in value. The Finance group did not pressure us to "add ons" we didnt want. The purchase was a pleasant experience. Since we were so pleased with Biggers, we continued to use them to do maintenance for the last two years even though it is a further drive. Here's the thing about this dealership: they have a really lovely building and showroom and it matches the really lovely demeanor they offer when you walk in the door. When you get close to a deal is when they get shady. We made multiple requests for detailed vehicle information and detailed lease breakdowns and they were promised and never delivered. And yeah, we check spam. After multiple attempts to request information that clearly wasn't getting delivered, we made the decision to stop working with them and determined that they had not earned the courtesy of feedback as to why. They called. And called. And voicemailed. And emailed. And mysteriously found cost savings in the deal that we never saw. And called. And voicemailed. And then we blocked them. And now they get the feedback, and so do you. For the record: we did our homework prior to entering the building and were well-versed on the vehicle, the pricing, the financing and the rates--which is what they were unwilling to show and share with us when it got to details. They were also kind enough to smack talk their competitors which made it really easy to find someone to work with. Want a great deal? Head to Biggers Mazda first, then go to another dealership where they provide information that reasonable people require to assess a purchase. read more

I'll keep this quick. Found the exact same car at 3 dealers. Emailed each to see who would give me their best price. Biggers is convenient to me. Franco the sales guy told me they are a one-price dealership and do not negotiate on price. Fair enough- the same car at Napleton Countryside Mazda was $2k less. I brought this to his attention and he insisted they would not negotiate. Against my better judgement I stopped in thinking maybe in-person Franco would bring his sales manager or general manager out. He recognized me from my Google review which I had mentioned if he can get me a deal I would gladly update. He flat out told me no chance. Didn't offer to get his GM or Sales Manager.. nothing. Just go to CarMax. Better yet, go to Napleton's Countryside Mazda. I am a Mazda enthusiast but I will go to ANY Mazda dealership over Biggers and let alone work with Franco Roffolo. read more

Refer to this email regarding fraudulent and illegal price advertising by this dealer: Macro, I require no further assistance from Biggers Mazda. My position is a direct result of the discrepancy in price between the online price listed, and the actual price quoted to me at the dealership. The Mazda CX-50 I was interested in was listed for $41,730, approximately $2000 less than the sale price quoted to me while at the dealership. The explanation for the increase was the added accessories; however, this explanation lacked reasoning as to why the online price was not updated to reflect the much higher price I was quoted at your dealership. The photos online show the CX-50 with the accessories installed. Additionally, the website Autotrader.com has the vehicle MSRP and list price as $41,730. I was quoted a sale price of approximately $43,600. Fundamentally, this is bait and switch advertising. While I do appreciate the knowledgeable service your salespeople provided as I shopped, I will not spend thousands of dollars at a business with deceptive business practices. I am sure a dealership of your size is familiar with the following administrative code: Illinois Administrative Code Title 14, Subtitle B, Chapter II, Part 475, section 475.310 "It is an unfair or deceptive act to advertise the total price of a motor vehicle without including in the advertised price all costs to the purchaser at the time of sale, or which are necessary or usual prior to delivery of such vehicle to the purchaser, including any costs of delivery, dealer preparation and any other charges of any nature; provided, however, taxes, license and title fees and a documentary service fee, as defined herein, may be excluded from the advertised price if clearly disclosed in the advertisement that these costs are excluded from the advertised price. Purchasers shall be able to purchase all vehicles described by the advertisement at the advertised price." To adhere to this administrative code, a dealership shall include the cost of the accessories, which would be covered by the language "all costs", when advertising the price of a vehicle online or elsewhere. Your dealership clearly failed to do so when advertising the price of vehicle VIN: 7MMVABXY2PN118770 on Autotrader.com without the accessories included. In fact, your dealership's posting for this vehicle Autotrader.com explicitly states: "Dealer Disclosure: Price excludes taxes, license and title fees, and a documentary service fee." Upon through review of the Autotrader.com listing, a list of accessories is advertised, but nowhere in the listing does it say or suggest nor in the previously cited disclaimer, that accessories are not included in the listing price." While at the dealership, you specifically Marco, attempted to defer responsibility for the Autotrader.com listed price not including accessories. I find it hard to believe a dealership as large as Biggers Mazda would advertise on a platform in which they are unable to accurately represent vehicle pricing. In fact, according to the Autotrader.com Visitor Agreement (Effective March 30, 2021) Section 2 (D) (1) "The prices listed by sellers on the Autotrader Sites often exclude sales tax, finance charges, title, license, regulatory, dealer documentary, emission testing, and compliance fees, any or all of which may be added to the listed price to arrive at the final sale price of a particular vehicle." Not only does this language suggest the sellers, Biggers Mazda, control the listing price, sans tax, financing, title, license, regulatory, dealer documentary, emissions, and compliance fees, but it also excludes any mentions of "accessories". Based on the omission of the word "accessories", it would lead one to believe exclusion of accessories in a listing price would at the very least be unusual. Not only do I find it unusual, but I find it unethical. For these above listed reasons, I have filed a complaint to Illinois Attorney General's Office, Bureau of Consumer Fraud. I will also actively discourage anyone from doing business with your deceptive dealership. I hope this is not what Jim Leicher envisioned in the video I was encouraged to watch which marketed an "exciting" new car buying experience. Mr. Leicher's advertisement of the "One and Done" program could not be further from my experience. He advertised "One Low and Upfront" price, which has been determined to be false and fraudulent. The advertisement also highlights dealing with "One Product Specialist", I dealt with no less than three in this fiasco. The only ounce of truth from the video was exiting the dealership within one hour. Unfortunately, I was not leaving while smiling with a newly purchased vehicle. I was leaving with a scowl and the realization I had been baited into visiting your dealership with an intentionally deceptive, unethical, and arguably illegal price listing and marketing practice. read more

It was time for a new car, and I had the exact right Mazda picked out. The configuration I wanted was available at many different Mazda dealerships, and I messaged them all via their dealer websites to get their best prices. I also used the Costco auto buying service for quotes. I contacted 8 Mazda dealers in the Chicagoland area. Ethan Groenewold at Biggers was the ONLY person who responded with not only a price, but also a turnkey price including the breakdown of fees and taxes. Two Mazda dealerships never got back to me at all (including the one that is a mile away from me!), and other dealerships flat out wouldn't answer my question about total pricing.
