This was a great experiece. My husband is a retired CIA tràined chef and he insists on authentic ingredient ingrediènts. We usually buy from Amazon but Googled Indian stores and discovered this jewel. It is in a nondiscript, haphazard strip mall but it holds a wealth of both fresh Indian spices and convenience foods like dosa mixes. Also freshbveggies, including eggplants. And the owner was a delight. He could tell I was out of my element but he wasnt pushy. Instead he offered help and stood aside. I learned about the various spices, including different types of cardamon and how to use them. I bought ingredients for a potato dish with dried fenugreek and it has become a staple at our house. I highly recommend and come with questions! Ooops, when I initially posted this I accidentally hit 3 stars but gave it a glowing review. Obviously the stars were a mistake. Love this little Indian grocery store , has many of the items I needed. So happy they carry different sizes of a spice , for someone like me who doesn't cook Indian food often a smaller jar is sufficient enough and still has some left. The gentleman who worked on Sunday were helpful . I purchased a vegetable called tindora , which I've seen and heard of but never tried . This grocery store surprised me, its pretty small in size but you can end up finding a lot of things you need. This has been our go-to Indian grocery store for the past year. It is clean, has almost all of the dry goods I've ever used/consumed in my daily Indian cuisine cooking as well as fresh produce. Their frozen foods section has a huge variety as does the fresh Indian sweets section. Sometimes the smell of aggarbatti (incense sticks) does get a bit heady upon entering the store. However, I would much rather have that over the smell of heady spices which has been my experience at several other Indian grocery stores. The owner is a friendly guy with prompt suggestions and advice when sought. If you bring to his notice that something is missing from their inventory he will give you specifics of when he may expect the shipment of said product. Overall, it's always a pleasant experience here. read more

Wow! I'm so impressed that this little gem is only a few miles away! What a selection of lentils, dry goods, spices. Also picked up some instant chai latte and frozen samosas. Freshly made desserts too! Service with a smile and the clerk was very helpful! I just need an Indian cooking lesson to be able to use all the wonderful ingredients there!!!
