Ordered the Papdi Chaat and Golgappa followed by Butter Chicken with Garlic Naan. Chaat was delicious but portion was small for the price. Golgappa was ok- more DIY style with everything served separately. Nothing all that special. Turned out fine though bc it allowed us to gorge on the Butter Chicken which was delicious. Chicken doesn't come with any rice so we ordered naan which was perfect with it. I sopped up all of the sauce. Who knew White Rock had so many Indian eateries? Major reason to come back across the border. The location is fun for people watching from the outdoor patio and we appreciated it being dog friendly. However there are a LOT of cars cruising the road in the evening and the loud motors gunning are no fun to listen to. read more

All of our food was absolutely delicious, I got the butter chicken and loved it- and our server Arshiya was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Came in with a late night hunger. I wasn't sure about everything on the menu, but server Sushmita took good care of me and I indulged in Samosa Chaat with Chole. A huge bowl of flavour. The food was really really good, I think this is my favourite butter chicken I've ever had LOL it was a nice sunny day so we sat on the patio with a great view. Lost a star because although the waitresses were friendly, they were very slow with requests or hanging out in the back talking so it was hard to get their attention. We arrived about 5 pm on a Friday and didn't have any wait for a table. Rainy weather probably contributed to a lees busy night. Service was very good and attentive. We ordered Papdi Chaat as an appetizer and the variety of flavors really messed well. I had the Karahi Goat with Garlic Naan. It was absolutely outstanding -- best dish ever with goat meat and I have tried many different goat dishes. My wife had the Butter Chicken with Naan and it also very good. Desserts were not impressive compared to the rest of our food. Prices reasonable and we will definitely make the drive across the border to get some great Indian food! read more

By far my favorite place to eat when visiting Surrey from Seattle. We were a group of 15 people and everyone absolutely loved everything we ordered. Apparently, yelp is not used by Canadians, they prefer google reviews. Order anything here, you will not regret it. Cheated on the bill. I visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday. The food was good and everything was going swimmingly. But at checkout they charged $12.99 for a dish costing $9.99 on their menu. I had already paid (including a tip) by the time I realized this. When confronted with the price discrepancy, the cashier/restaurant lady immediately blurted out "It includes the tax". So I pointed to the GST line in the bill and asked "Then what is this?" She then looked up the menu and bluntly said "The price has changed" (and something like the menu is out of date) and in a tone that closes out a conversation. I chickened out from making a scene there, but now I'm pissed. These responses make me feel that they are doing this routinely, assuming tourists aren't checking their bills. I'm not going there again but if you are then I suggest you watch your bills carefully. It's left a bad taste in the mouth. read more

From the moment we stepped in there was an obvious cultural disparity. The hostess did not seem delighted that we had arrived. I selected a table that was wiped down after we had been seated. Lukewarm water arrived twelve minutes after we sat down. Our order was placed another fifteen minutes after that. My husband mispronounced one of the entrees and the waitress said, "We don't serve that here.'After pointing to it in the menu, we were able to continue. A plate and a spoon, and no other cutlery, was delivered a few minutes afterwards, followed by a different server delivering exactly the same thing. We asked when our dinner would be ready after about 45 minutes, considering there were only three tables of patrons in the whole restaurant. One of our orders came up so we shared that, the the other order came about ten minutes afterwards. Now here's the kicker ... excellent food and plenty to share and take home. The main problem was the service and feeling like we were terribly 'out of place.' read more
