Ordered a couple things, everything was great except for the Malai Kofta (which I was most excited for). The koftas were just potato with no paneer, like in a vada pav. The gravy was flavourful and creamy as usual. Hara Bhara Paneer Tikka was good, I missed the veggies that are usually in this dish and it was oddly served with coleslaw. Their Navratran Korma was taken off the menu, and the Spicy Mix Veg took its place (but not spicy as listed) Onion Kulcha, Garlic Naan, Samosa Chaat and Manchurian were great!! Service by Sandeep was great and the ambiance was as usual! the restaurant does a great job of mixing all music genres unlike other Indian restaurants.

Thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. The service was on point. The food was even more delicious. It is a gorgeous restaurant perfectly laid out as well. A place I'd love to go back to again

We live in the area and was looking for a restaurant where we could dine-in. We were shocked to see most restaurants were still operating take-out only. Guess we should have called beforehand. B and I walked by here and saw a sign that says dine-in available. OMG... We were super excited. So here is the protocol. -First you walk in, you have to sanitize your hands. -Then you are taken to your table. The tables are separated. It is good that their original layout has lots of booth seats. -Menus are online. Yes, they don't give you a menu. You have to know beforehand or look it up on your cellphone -When you are ready to order, they take down your name and phone number along with you order. -Now you have to wait for the food to come. B and I ordered the Lamb Korma and Lamb Curry. We shared it too. You are probably thinking why so much lamb. We had chicken for the entire week and we couldn't do anymore chicken. We also got three garlic naan to share. B has been here before and he said that the taste has improved significantly. He is not sure if they used a new recipe or what? It was super tasty. The Lamb Korma was full of flavor. The lamb curry was so creamy. The garlic naan was full of garlic. We both enjoyed our food. Everything came pipping hot. To finish it off we ordered desserts to share. We got the Gulab Jamun. The Gulab Jamun wasn't very sweet and that was perfect. It was definitely tastier than other places where I had it before. I will definitely be back.

Garlic naan, kadahi lamb, butter chicken, rice

Delicious and fresh food. Tried the Kadahi lamb with garlic naan, butter chicken with rice, and mango lassi. We ordered naan twice, and it was freshly made each time. Shoutout to our waiter Simran, she was very kind and accommodating when checking on food regarding allergies we had.

Fried noodles overcooked, veg Manchurian just too salty, garlic naan and veg spring rool was good however in palak paneer can see the spinach leaves and shahi paneer was tasty.

It's a great Indian restaurant With a nice ambiance, and service is top-notch and finger-licking food, excellent for all occasions, family gatherings, dinner with friends-n-family etc We visited from Seattle and loved it. We live here in BC now, and this is our preferred food destination.

I went for lunch on July 20, 2020 and the experience was exceptional. I called the day before to make sure that they are open for dine in, and I was already happy with how friendly and polite the person answering the phone was. The interior of the restaurant made it easy to social distance, we sat at one of the booths so we were separated from other customers. The restaurant is spacious and clean, and the servers were very friendly. Due to Covid-19, I had to look at the menu on my phone. This shows the restaurant is serious about keeping customers safe. Our party of three ordered Chaat Papri to share, I had the lamb curry lunch special and my friends had the chicken roti roll. The Chaat Papri was the best we had at any Indian restaurant, the balance of the sweet and sour was just right. My lamb curry was nicely presented and the meat was cooked just right; moreover, the portion was generous, something I really appreciated. My friends were also very satisfied with their chicken roti. We all felt the taste of the food reflected how much heart the restaurant has put into preparing the food. If I go to Surrey in the future, I'll definitely go back to this restaurant.

We had a huge feast at @spice72lounge recently! Since it was a huge group, we were able to try so many different dishes. My personal favourites were the chilli paneer (cottage cheese cooked with bell peppers and spices) and the Goan lamb (boneless lamb cooked in fresh curry leaves, mint and rich coconut gravy). We also went through so many orders of their garlic naan! Their mango desserts were also very refreshing. I would say definitely try a paneer dish as long as you can tolerate cheese!

Went there to soothe my aching soul for indian food n it was worth it. 3 of us had a lunch with a unique food item called "bombay style baigan" basically small eggplants in nice gravy made out of cashews n cream Paneer tikka was really good combined with yummy chutney.. I would highly recommend faluda kulfi. Very soft n not too sweet. Ambience is too clean n classic. Tidy washrooms. Very genuine prices. $70 with tip for 3 people having dal, sabji, paneer tikka , biryani n garlic naans.

Dined in on a Saturday night. The place was packed, but luckily we came early enough and got seats right away. We ordered the usual shai paneer, chicken vindaloo, and saag. The portions felt smaller than what we get with take out, but I'm not sure how the pricing and sizes differ. My favourite dish is the shai paneer and I order it for take out all the time. The shai paneer is unlike any other restaurants. It has body with chunks of onions, and tomatoes. I was surprised to find a few strawberry pieces on top of the dish tonight. It surprisingly worked though! It added a nice touch of sweet and tartness. Not sure if it was just an experiment or if this is how it's served all the time when dining in. Regardless, I enjoyed the innovation and I'm glad to see a restaurant that isn't afraid to try new things.

Great food, good service, nice clean restaurant, ample parking. Have had fish curry, butter chicken, chicken curry, mango chicken curry and always consistently good.

The interiors are outstanding! Sev puri is good but not $12 worth, I feel it's expensive. Paneer acahri is okay as we thought it will be a little spicy, instead it was creamier and bland. Yellow daal was delicious and lassi was satisfying. Servers were attentive.

Slightly carbonated mango lassi - 4$

I was not expecting this restaurant to be as big as it is. The space here is truly massive, and…read morewhile it was mostly empty when we came at around 2:30 - I can picture the hubbub of activity that would be present during peak dinner hours. This does seem to be a highly recommended place to eat Indian food in Surrey. I had the Non-Veg Thali, which isn't on the menu, but the waitress helpfully let us know about. It's very customizable - and I went with garlic naan, rice, two tandoori chicken pieces, lamb vindaloo, and shahi paneer - all in a single plate! Pretty much everything was excellent. I'm not even sure where to start. The garlic naan was fantastic. Soft, buttery, with just a slight hint of garlic and lightly charred on the outside. I could honestly eat this by itself and be satisfied. Garlic naan is a staple of what I order whenever eating Indian food, and this might be the best one I've had. The shahi paneer was also great; tomato-forward, creamy, and the paneer was super soft. The lamb vindaloo was a real standout. It was immensely flavorful - not lacking for spice at all - but you don't just taste capsaicin - you taste all the cumin, cardamom, and garam mixed in with the curry. But the lamb itself is the best part of the curry; it's so tender and juicy. The absolute peak, though, was the tandoori chicken. These were two large dark meat pieces, which were cooked to absolute perfection - retaining so much juice and fat. The skin was a perfect deep orange, seasoned with a ton more spices. It's like eating fried chicken but without the breading, but this was arguably even better. The masala fries were the only thing kind of a miss - as they lacked any masala. The price of the thali was only 23 CAD. That's a pretty insane deal for how much food you get - I was unable to finish everything on my plate despite being very hungry. Honestly two people could share this and be satisfied. When you consider how much sharing and new orders for bread, rice, and curries goes on at your typical Indian restaurant, this is crazy good value. Overall, I would classify this as the best Indian food I've had outside of Asia. 9.5/10

Solid Spot in the Mall, But Some Temperature Issues…read more This was my first time at this particular Ustaad G location, though I'm familiar with the chain. It's situated inside a shopping mall and was pleasantly clean and not too crowded when I visited. I was seated right away, and the waitress was excellent--attentive and checked on me multiple times to ensure everything was good. I ordered my all-time favourite, the Amritsari Kulcha. The bread itself was fantastic and arrived piping hot, just as it should. However, the dish was a bit inconsistent. While the kulcha was hot, the accompanying chickpeas and condiments were only lukewarm. As a former restaurant owner myself, I'm a stickler for this: hot food should be served hot across the board. The portion size was okay, but the garnish was surprisingly minimal--just a few sparse pieces of carrot that looked a bit sad in the tray (see my photo). Despite that, the core flavours were enjoyable. It's not the same as what you'd find in Amritsar, but it's a satisfying dish. Pricewise, well this is Canada and in line with the economy. My Ratings: Ambience: 4/5 - Clean and modern. Service: 5/5 - Prompt and very attentive. Food & Value: 3.5/5 - Tasty, but the temperature issue and skimpy garnish hold it back. A good meal, but with a little more attention to detail on the kitchen line, it could be a great one.
