The food is around a 3.5 to 4, but what truly makes this place deserve 5 stars is the staff. They were attentive, friendly, and genuinely personable, keeping drinks refilled without having to ask, helping load the doggy bags, etc. The atmosphere is calm, relaxed, and inviting, making it an easy place to sit back and enjoy your meal. Great service can elevate an above average meal to stellar, and that's exactly what happened here. Shout out to our server, Bobby!!!

Ordering online was easy. The staff made pickup simple. It was only $0.99 extra to make a dish dairy free which is nice for our son with a dairy allergy. The dish was clearly marked "dairy free" on the outside which I appreciated. The chicken tikka was flavorful and filling. This dish is my comfort food!

Best Indian food I've had in Denver! And Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Their name might be India Express but they have a lovely dining room and amazing staff that make it a great place to sit down. We came on a Thursday night around 7p, the dining room was empty - crazy. Araz took care of us and he must have refilled the water 5 times he was so top of everything! We started with chai tea, absolutely delicious. Love the creaminess and spices. They bring out come crispy chips and dipping sauces on the house. Such a light and delicious starter. I could eat the dips plain. We also got the chaat samosas. Incredible! The seasonings and textures paired so well, crunchiness of the samosas over a bed of perfectly cooked chickpeas with red onion and yogurt drizzle adding a fresh element. And they cut them to make it easier to share. I had the lamb Korma. Incredible. Just the perfect blend of spices, creaminess. Comes with rice but their garlic naan is amazing and pairs so well with it. My boyfriend had the chicken madras, also amazing. He didn't want a creamy dish and this was perfect for him. Everything was so memorable, i can't wait to come back

Dropped in here late with 3 of us for a post-cocktail party meal. Not busy on Sunday night. Unsure what to expect, so we asked what was good and was recommended to try the Tikka Masala (chicken) and Madras Curry (chicken). Also had the saag paneer. I also had a bowl of the tomato curry soup. I think we have found our new favorite Indian restaurant. Every dish was savory, juicy and made to perfection. We also had a garlic naan: beautifully seasoned and just the right crunch. The service was attentive and the place brightly lit and clean. We are excited to return.

Indian express, don't get confused by the name it's nothing like the polar express so leave your golden ticket at home. I looked so stupid but my server was very nice about it and consoled me out of my wobbles. First time getting together with all 7 of my siblings in a few weeks so it was a very special occasion. Our servers name was Sharmila and she was very attentive and informed of the menu. She was very kind to have endured my rowdy family and we tipped her graciously for her trouble. My brother and I arrived fashionably early while the others arrived just early. Being fashionable is a recessive gene and we can't all be winners or else there'd be no losers and what fun would that be? They started the table with these neat little fake tortilla chips. It came with 3 sauces for dipping a sweet, tangy/minty and a spicy one. The spicy one is important to try because that's about the level of spice of their hottest dishes. For apps we got the cauliflower, the texture was nice and fluffy, the flavor was tangy without being too aggressive. An app is supposed to ease you in! SOMEPLACES HAVE THE AUDACITY TO CREATE APPETIZERS THAT SUCK YOUR SOUL OUT! Sorry for raising my voice... ahem... this place is thankfully not one of them. We also got the cucumber salad which was really good but it's cucumbers, you love em or you hate em. Moving on. Next was the onion rings. In my head they were gonna be like Indian onion rings but they were just like normal rings but ig since they had Indian dipping sauces that counts? They get by on a technicality. I DONT MAKE THE RULES AND IM TIRED OF YOU GETTING MAD AT ME FOR THEM! Excuse me I'm not sure where that came from... Ok "few" that was a lot! For me main entree I got me some baryani with chx. I got the medium spiciness because the hot sauce at the start was too much for me, call me a knave but my sibs said I'm a prince, WHAT ARE YOU AN HEIR TOO?! Didn't think so. Sorry for yelling, your tone is just bothering me. Anyway my food was good. I could hardly finish it and I don't want to hear it. THE PORTIONS WERE SO BIG FOR THE PRICE! HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW?!?! Ok signing off, I can't with your attitude and I take back my apology from earlier. If you even care to make it up to me go visit this amazing restaurant and Sharmila a 50% tip.

Disappointing - food all tasted the same. Food coloring was in everything, lassi and all entrees. Naan was good! Service was fine.

I was completely blown away by this place. The service was impeccable. And the food was amazing. I ordered the chicken madras curry medium, and it was the perfect amount of spice with sooo much flavor. The garlic naan was hot and the perfect combination of crunchy and chewy. I was not expecting this from a small restaurant with "express" in the name, but it is definitely worth a try if you love Indian food.

I thought it was about time for an updated review... 10 years later. Still to this day, after all this time, this is my favorite spot for chicken tikka masala. After I tried to find my favorite tikka masala, in 8 different countries, this is still my favorite. I am not aware of the buffet anymore but I will add the lunch chicken tikka masala stuffed me full. It is possible to share an order if you are able to be selfless with your masala. I am selfishly in love with this dish, so I don't often share. Stop driving by and stop wondering, go and see for yourself! Yums!

We have picked up India express for our family twice this year. We are impressed by their ability to have food ready for pick up orders on time and they have not made a mistake on any of our orders! We appreciate the full suite of mods that can be made on the online ordering platform, including making various dishes dairy free (which is so, so nice given we have a child who is allergic to dairy!). The flavors hit the spot, but one recommendation I would say is to clarify that peas come in the Saffron/Yellow Rice.

Honestly quite impressed with this place!! we stopped in on Diwali, and the restaurant was SO kind as to give us free papad, chai, and free dessert. It was nice coming from somewhere else and still having some place to celebrate Diwali. Really happy about that! He also was very kind enough to ask us exactly what our spice level was, whether we wanted spicy or Indian spicy. It was refreshing and even though we said just normal spicy the food came out extremely spicy for us still! We got the gobi manchurian, paneer tikka masala, garlic naan, and rice! The garlic naan was delicious, on the thinner side but well flavored with big portions. The paneer tikka masala was also delicious, well flavored and wasn't lacking anything. The gobi manchurian was just okay, I felt it tasted quite oily with too thick of a batter so the cauliflower was lacking. Additionally the sauce felt very dry and caked making it dry rather than being moist. Overall I'm really happy I found this place, the ambiance is relaxing with Indian music playing in the background. it's causal yet you can still come with a family for a sit down dinner. I would definitely come back here if I was craving Indian food and I'm happy to have this restaurant in the neighborhood!

I've been looking for an Indian food restaurant in my neighborhood and I think I found the winner here. First off, as soon as I walked in through the door, I was greeted so kindly and that was consistent throughout my entire time here. The server brought us chai and was very knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. Both the chicken korma and the chicken tikka masala were creamy and flavorful. The chicken was tender. I can't wait to come back and try out some other items off their extensive menu!

The best Indian food I've had in colorado so far. Delicious butter chicken, dal soup, and saag paneer. Flavorful, warm, complex. Nice service, and I enjoyed the bowls the food was platted in. It wasn't fancy by any means, but a great quick easy meal. Probably wonderful for takeout. Great garlic naan too!

The Thali caught my eye as it's essentially a traditional platter with a variety of balanced small plates from rice to potatoes to dal soup and even dessert all on a single tray. I got it with Butter Chicken which was so good! Highly recommend as it was creamy, medium spicy, and very aromatic. I absolutely loved the street-style chaat! It's creamy, crunchy, cold, and loaded with flavors and textures. Such a satisfying bite and I almost couldn't stop until it was gone. I love that this Thali came with both rice & naan as I usually want both and can't decide lol! The rice was fluffy and aromatic from the cumin while the garlic naan was fresh, soft, and delicately brushed with garlic & parsley. I didn't care for the dal soup (bit too watery) or the jeera potatoes (bit undercooked) but the dessert was a nice way to end the meal. Their options included rice pudding and gulab jamun; I went with the "healthier" option lol. It was creamy, sweet, and cooled down my palate after the various dishes. The Lamb Biryani was another good try! The lamb chunks were tender and seasoned, the rice was aromatic, and it paired well with the onions and raita (yogurt sauce). This definitely satisfied my craving and I'm glad I stopped by before the long day I had ahead!
