Cuban sandwich with side of broccoli, and ginger beer.
    Stephanie C.

Really lovely all vegan place that I visited twice while I was in Denver. Between my two visits, I got the gnocchi with sweet potato sauce, the Cuban sandwich, ginger beer, and the giant chocolate chip cookie. All of it was really great, but I think the gnocchi was my favorite of the two entrees. The ginger beer is not super gingery, tastes like Fevertree. The chocolate chip cookie with sea salt is an absolute must! It comes wrapped so I took mine back to the hotel to share with my non-veg husband after he got back from his work conference dinners and he said they were the best chocolate chip cookies he'd ever had! Also, I think it's fun that the plates are made to look like wood, but aren't. The first time I came it had been pouring rain, so the restaurant wasn't as full and it was very easy to find an open table, but the second time it was positively packed, and both times were week nights, so I suspect this place is pretty popular with the locals. I like that the ordering is done through QR code and website, since that would make it easy for groups and means you don't have to all know what you want at the same time (or, if dining solo as I was, you don't need to interact as much with staff, which is sometimes a blessing). Several members of the staff wore face masks, which I appreciated, and there were some nice paintings on the walls from local artists for sale. If I am ever in Denver again, I think I would really like to come back here--and I'd definitely get the chocolate chip cookie every time!

This is a 100% plant based restaurant. We grabbed the macro bowl which has miso tofu and a variety of hot and cold components and is very flavorful. Additionally tried the Reuben with a side of vegan mash potatoes and gravy. The Reuben tasted like real meat. Good vibes. Nice indoor seating. Good service. Please come and create your own adventure.

We had a great time at Watercourses Foods. While I'm not primarily eating a plant diet, I really enjoyed watercourse foods. The Mac and Cheese was very good and the fries were also very good. The drinks were one of our favorite items of the dinner and we enjoyed our experience. Our service was good but not overly amazing. This place is great for a large group and the vibe was fun. It was warm - temperature wise - in the restaurant which caused my rating to drop slightly.

Without realizing until we ordered our food, the owners may be (are) the same as City O' City! We knew that we loved this seitan buffalo chicken strips so we ordered them again here. Dare I say they were better because the buffalo sauce was more evenly dispersed. I was having a really hard time, deciding on what to order but we got the vegan Philly cheesesteak and the recommended popular turkey and brie sandwich . I opted for a side of Caesar salad. No complaints about anything they were exactly what you wouldn't expect. Very very good mimics to the non-vegan versions. I'd say this is a good restaurant for anyone trying vegan food for the first time. However I'm a longtime vegan but that's okay. I like a good Caesar salad here & there. Our service was good. Our server was very helpful and telling us about the menu and asking if we needed anything else and checking in on us. The ambience is very cute. Love the wood paneling and the local artist decor throughout the restaurant. You could say this is good for intimate or large groups. It does tend to get a little bit loud, but that's maybe just due to loud guests by us..

Really large portions! They have a bunch of vegan comfort food and a great cocktail menu. They also have a little plant cutting swap at the front! It's generally not too busy when I've been here as they have a lot of seats but they do have reservations!

This is one of the first vegan restaurants in Denver and I haven't been back for ten years. But this time, it's very underwhelming. The food is quite mediocre, almost taste like convenient store foods. Also, you'll need to order food by scanning the code and order on your phone. Otherwise they will not come bring you water and treat you like you don't exist.

The ambiance here is nice and chill with great outdoor seating. We came here for lunch on a weekday and didn't have to wait. Our server was super nice and patient with us as we were waiting for a third. The food is really good and overall a great experience. Lots of gluten free options! The cauliflower wings are to die for! Sooooo yummy and gluten free. I like the teriyaki better than the buffalo, but I usually don't like buffalo. This one was a little too overwhelming flavor wise. The blacked tofu ceaser wrap was also really good! Had lots of veggies in it so it was super filling. We got wayyyyyy too many fries! Not a bad thing, but we definitely couldn't finish it. Id reccommend this place especially if you have friends that are vegan or vegetarian.

    Grilled cheese with side Caesar

We came here to celebrate a family member's birthday, and it was my first time at a vegan restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and how many great options there were. Even though the menu impressed me, I played it safe and went with a grilled cheese sandwich (from the kids menu) and a Caesar salad on the side. It might sound like a boring choice, but it was actually really tasty! The Caesar salad was unique, lightly dressed and made with hearty greens like kale instead of just romaine. I also got to try a bite of the Orange Teriyaki Bowl and instantly regretted not ordering that instead. So good! Service was excellent, especially for a party of 10. I wish I remembered our server's name. She was blonde, super friendly, and really attentive. I'm already looking forward to coming back!

Recently got food from here for the second time but for takeout. My partner and I shared the philly cheesteak and it was surprisingly really good. The soy curls were tasty and I enjoyed the texture. The "cheese" sauce came on the side and was good for dipping the fries into as well.

I love how plant-ifull the indoor space is! Lots of beautiful green plants and natural light everywhere you look. I got the turkey and brie sandwich with the salad as my side options. They make the turkey and the brie there! The turkey and brie were delicious, the salad greens were fresh, the fig vinaigrette was tasty, but the bread was a 0/5 for me. It was very basic squishy white bread in baguette shape. I ended up eating the filling and then the bread separate (so not to go to waste) because it took away from my enjoyment of the sandwich. A different type of bread would've been a game changer! If still a white bread, a ciabatta would've worked better! (Crusty, good bite, gets toasty). Our server happily answered my questions about the menu (I'm always curious to know if the vegan meats & cheeses are a certain brand or if made in house). So awesome that they make and smoke their seitan for the turkey and make the Brie cheese too! Pretty sure he said it was coconut based. My friend got the seasonal cheesecake stuffed & cherry topped french toast.

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! The food is incredible and the service was outstanding. Roel went above and beyond to make my birthday so special--he's truly an amazing server. We had the best dinner! Every dish was delicious: the mashed potatoes are to die for, the Caesar salad was perfect, and the wings with black pepper aioli were out of this world. I honestly wish I could eat here every day! The restaurant itself is adorable and has such a great vibe. The only note is that they don't run the AC, so it can get a little warm--but honestly, the food and service more than make up for it.

    Listening to any suggestions Aspen?

First: The substancial GREETING at the door, especially Aspen!! She gets the smiles from everyone. Immediately the Hosts knows exactly where we choose to be seated given I have Aspen my service dog; we have been enjoying WaterCourse for many number of years, and before the Restaurant was named Watercourse and moved from another area of Denver; this has always been a fabulous place. The Ambiance offers a outside garden table (weather permitting) and café lining the front entrance. The service is Optimal, never overly attentive, rather a gentle watchful eye on our timing. And, if something is new on the menu, it is surely suggested. Every part of the costs are explained along with the menu if one does not know the restaurant and vegan food. Once I introduced Watercourse to a helpful friend who took me to the hospital, with Aspen. She had the "Chicken Burrito and stated, I thought this was a Vegan Restaurant" This was a huge giggle, while my Aspen nibble on my Tofu!! Yes, a Service Dog who likes tofu! The comfort at Watercourse is delightful, for I might sit and write or speak to an adjoining table of people, possibly making some suggestions. Most times, Aspen and I simply enjoy taking our time watching the busy street on 17th avenue, my old neighborhood and how it has changed. I am happy to hear, Watercourse is doing well as a primary Vegan restaurant, we must have a plethora of places to visit, become familiar with as a warm neighborhood, feeling part of the different ethnics groups, makes us feel safe, more to enjoy truly delicious healthy foods. Thank you Watercourse and all staff and owners for bringing us a delightful homely place in feeling welcomed. Highly recommended, as my friend did not know she was not eating a true chicken burrito - enjoy your meals and times at Watercourse.

Ambiance: it's a trendy vegan restaurant, spacious dining space inside although it's hot and humid without air conditioning Service: friendly but so forgettable, made mistake on the drink order wrong choice of milk Food & Drink: limited items on their brunch menu Seitan Wings - *** choices of Buffalo and Orange Teriyaki flavors, made of gluten, chewy texture but not balanced taste Strawberries and Cream Waffle - *** Mascarpone cream, strawberry coulis, waffle with fresh strawberries, average taste Southern Plate - **** Cauliflower Chicken, mac and cheese, cole slaw and a side of honee hickory sauce, crispy cauliflower and tasty Mac and cheese, recommend Irish Coffee - *** Queen City coffee, house made Kahlua, Conciere Gold bourbon, topped with whipped cream, super bold taste Price: moderate to large portions depending on what you order, expect $30 per person

The aesthetic is absolutely perfect because it feels both classy and comfortable at the same time. Our table was ready to go well ahead of our arrival which made the start of our meal very smooth. The food was a major highlight of the experience. The Brie and Bacon toast was delicious and you really cannot beat their bottomless mimosas for a celebratory morning. We did run into a bit of a strange interaction regarding an iced tea order. One friend asked for iced tea and was told twice that they did not serve it, so she settled for a zero proof mixed drink. However, when the rest of our party arrived and someone else ordered an iced tea, the server took the order immediately. When we asked for clarification, he mentioned he was simply confused by the initial question. It was a bit of an awkward start, but my friend eventually got her tea. I guess our takeaway is to be more specific about what we mean by iced tea. Later in the meal, our server cashed us out because his shift was ending. We were still eating and finishing our drinks, and unfortunately, we were not introduced to a new server to take over. This meant we had to walk back and forth to the bar ourselves for refills or any additional orders. Aside from those specific moments, the server was actually very efficient and kind, and the rest of the staff was wonderful and accommodating. The overall quality of the food and the beautiful environment mean we will definitely make our way back in the future.

We had large group of 10 people, which they accommodated easily without any crowding of our party or other tables. The front desk was very efficient with getting us seated, including directing others to our table they arrived. The initial table service was quick and efficient, however after the orders were taken, the service lagged considerably. Follow-up visits by our server were lacking and numerous times had to literally flag down our server for any drink refills, to-go boxes and our checks. As far as food is concerned, all the lunch meals looked fresh and delicious as they were being served. However, the Fish and Chips I ordered turned out to disappointing, due to the fish seem to have been steamed at some point and had a mushy texture rather than the firmness of a nice filet of fish. The chips served were very good, with nice crisp outside, which also was the case for the light tempura-like batter on the outside of the fish. I must admit the Reuben sandwich that another ordered looked amazing. Overall, the location of Penn Street is convenient and with the accessibility of the parking garage (Penn Street validates the 1st 2-hours of parking), is a very nice place to meet for lunch. Even with the service and my lunch meal, I would return, as all restaurants have off days of service or food, and many of the other dishes ordered looked great. Tips for your visit: If you have a large party, they use Open Table for reservations and accommodate us with separate checks. If you like people watching, ask for table by the window.

Kids' Mac and cheese was not the same receipe as last time; it was a different noodle and seemed to be needing some salt as it was pretty bland.
