This is a new location for this Indian-owned store. It's been less than a year since their move to this larger establishment. I was so surprised by how big it was! They have a little bit of everything and tons of ingredients and cookware for your Indian dishes that you're cooking up tonight. You can purchase prepared Indian food, sweets and drinks, lots of bagged rice, and of course, lots of spices, nuts, and seeds at really reasonable prices. The staff was very friendly. They're authentic and pride themselves on being The go-to Indian store for those of the culture, and others in the community who love the flavor as well. They also have a small inventory of Indian films. I was personally happy to find lots of henna and hair products that me, as an African-American with natural hair is alllll about. Two of my staple Indian haircare brands are Vatika and Nupur...and they carry both! Ladies, it's lit! I typically order them online, but it's always less expensive in an Indian shop. Glad I found it here! Buyer beware of the expiration dates on some on the items though (especially food). Read some of the other reviews of folks who have actually tried something edible. I haven't. They don't have a large selection of imports for nothing. This was the main bummer for me.

Extremely overpriced, but it's the only store in the area. The last time I was there, my boyfriend noticed mold growing on the sweets by the check out. He told the cashier and she asked him if any of the other sweets had mold on them. How was he suppose to know? He doesn't work there.... just stumbled across the mold while looking through the sweets. The pre-made curries & roti at checkout are made at sitar and aren't bad. I'm still shocked at the prices the store charges. It's definitely worth it to make the drive to Houston & stock up on what you need there.

Extremely well stocked. Went there for paneer and they had at least three brands, and huge, restaurant-sized blocks as well.

For vinegars they have everything from strawberry rhubarb & watermelon (they should just call it jolly rancher!) to hazelnut (that tastes more like coffee). And I only have ever seen just regular olive oil. But they have different flavors, including jalapeño! And is there just oil & vinegar? No way! There are also amazing sauces, butters, mayo and so much more. Try the hazelnut butter. I had to stop myself from eating the whole jar in one sitting. It's better than Nutella or any other hazelnut butter you've had (I promise!). The staff are so helpful. They don't just want to sell you, they honestly want to never be bored of the flavors. They will give you a couple awesome flavors that you can come back and refill with other favors. My husband and I have been coming here once a month (or more often) for the latter half of this year and I've truly never loved having daily salads more with all the different flavors and variations this place offers. They even have seasonal flavors. It's a cute little shop, but so much flavor and goodness packed into it. Just go there and you'll see for yourself!

If you're in the Conroe area and you LOVE loose-leaf tea, PLEASSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEE stop by this…read morespot!!! Y'all know my daughter and I are obsessed with tea, but she's also really into herbs and natural remedies--probably even more than me! Our tea cabinet needed a restock, and instead of hitting the grocery store, I wanted something fresh. I was specifically looking for lemon balm tea because it helps with digestion, bloating, anxiety, sleep--you name it. So, I hit up Google and found a 5-star tea shop that just so happened to be close to my daughter's school. Perfect, right? I decided to surprise her after school, but BAYBEEEE, we were the ones who got surprised! As soon as we walked in, the owner. A woman greeted us like family: "Hey friends, come on in! I've got some tea already brewing for you. It's cold outside, and we have to warm you up." Y'ALL. I FELT LIKE I WAS AT MY FAVORITE AUNTIE OR GRANNY'S HOUSE!!! This lady LOVESSSSSSSSS what she does, and you can tell from the way she's poured her heart into her business. Every detail, every tea blend, every story behind it--it was just EVERYTHING. She's got teas for stress, hormone balancing, energy, periods, sickness, menopause--ANYTHING you can think of! And let me tell you, every single blend she let us taste was PERFECTION. So, if you can't stop by in person, will you at least support her by ordering online or liking her page? There is absolutely NO REASON her following shouldn't be in the thousands. Let's help her!

Go by and see Mrs Erika. You won't regret it.

The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. There's also plenty of seating in a quaint, charming little market setting, making it a great spot to sit, relax, and enjoy your drink. Houston Flea Market is the definition of "you get what you pay for." It's overcrowded, disorganized, and feels like a maze of the same vendors selling the same cheap imported products over and over. The aisles can be dirty, parking is chaotic, and customer service varies wildly depending on who you're dealing with. Prices aren't always the bargain you'd expect either--many sellers charge close to retail unless you're willing to haggle. The food is one of the better parts, but it isn't enough to make up for the overall experience. If you're hoping to find unique antiques or hidden treasures, you'll probably leave disappointed after digging through piles of low-quality merchandise. Unless you specifically enjoy the flea market atmosphere or know exactly what you're looking for, there are much better ways to spend your time.
