You might be tempted to drive past this place, but you need suspend your gut reaction and give it a try. We stopped by for a late dinner (only about 40 minutes before they closed for the night) and it was pretty empty, but we were welcomed and seated immediately. The server was very polite and attentive. We ordered garlic naan, Indian mix onion paneer aloo kulcha, chicken vindaloo, and chicken tikka masala. Naan was great - classic and would order again. I had never had the aloo kulcha and it was very good (think a naan with extra stuff in it - cheese, onions, potatoes). Both chicken dishes were delicious; we couldn't pick a favorite. You can choose your level of spice - we got one medium and one spicy and they definitely had some zing, but were not overwhelming! Both entrees came with sides of white rice. Generous portions - we ate much more than we should have and still had leftovers. Overall, this was a great experience. They seem to do a lot of takeout as well (saw lots of delivery drivers in and out picking up orders). We can't wait to come back and try out some other dishes!!

Wow the BEST Indian food in El Paso!! This place is a must try! I'm originally from the Bay Area so we have very good Indian food but this topped it. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan, spicy. All was amazing!! The service was wonderful and very attentive. I'll def be coming back here when I come back to visit El Paso.

So, we get basically TWO options for fine Indian cuisine in the old western town of El Paso; and this is the 4 star one (the other is probably 2.5) The service is always great. It is straight forward. Ladies will ask what you want, you tell them what you want, and they bring it to you. A little later on, the lady will ask you to give her money for what you wanted, you will give her money for what you wanted, and then you can leave. Why all service isn't like this, blows my mind... The ambiance isn't much to write home about. There's always a "smell", kinda. Not like a bad one, and after about 10 minutes you get noseblind, but you'll notice it when you walk in. It's not necessarily even bad - and maybe it's the smell of India for all I know - but it's just different is all. The food though? Absolutely love it. My go to is chicken tikka masala with its rice and cheese naan (or butter naan), and a mango lassie. But you knew that because every photo I've added here shows that same thing lol

Hell nah I started working. There and I swear to god never again will I ever think of going there in my life it is dirty. And they where tasting the food and stuff it was horrible DONOT EAT HERE THEY HAD CHICKEN ON THE FLOOR

I have been waiting to eat here and came on a Saturday, early evening. No wait. The inside is ok but could use some work on the decor and overall ambiance. We placed our order but had to hold our fingers up, too many times to request things like refills and forgotten items. We waited longer than usual to request to go boxes and the check. Our server was nice but not easily accessible. The food was delicious and flavorful. The samosas, the curry goat, and Lamb Tiki Masala were all delicious. The prices are reasonable in comparison to other places. The service and overall ambiance is the only reason for 3 stars, other than that it's a 4 IMO.

We visited on Easter Sunday after a few recommendations. El Paso doesn't have enough Indian food restaurants. Honestly I am conflicted in writing this review. The location is convenient, easy to find. Upon walking in we were seated but they must have been very short staffed because it took a long time to order and get our food. In fact, I think they brought out someone from the kitchen to help serve. My worst comment must be regarding their restrooms. I hope it was only on this day but I literally walked to the back to use the restroom and I walked straight back yo my seat. The smell of sewage was so bad that I could not walk into the women's restroom, even with the door propped open. Even after I sat down at my booth it took me a long time to get rid of the smell in my nose. My appetite was gone. We stayed to wait on the food. I admit it was all very flavorful. The chicken soup, while flavorful, was mostly water. The Butter Chicken, rice and Naan was great. Prices were very reasonable. All in all, not sure where I sit on this place. I'll probably visit again before any set opinion

I loved everything that I ordered here. My taste buds were happy!! Service was great. Cozy atmosphere and the design matches the restaurant's vibe. Would love to come back!

Don't let appearances fool you. The food here is excellent. You can choose the spice level of your food if spicy is too hot for you. I like the chicken masala medium with rice and it is very good. Then there are plenty of appetizers to choose from. You need to give this place a try. Also take out is available.

I want to say best Indian food in town, but honestly this is the only Indian restaurant I've tried since I got to El Paso. My local friends swear by this restaurant though, so I'll trust their judgment when they say this is the best. First of all, the servings are absolutely beautiful. The buttery Naan was everything I wanted and the spiciness in every dish was perfection. I highly recommend the spicy lamb korma, I think I cleaned the bowl trying to get all sauce. The fried paneer appetizer is also a must!

To start: Gobi manchurian, battered and lightly fried cauliflower in a sticky tomato sauce. I alway love eating this. Butter chicken: I really love the tomato sauce and the chicken was cooked perfectly. I didn't like that there was skin on some of the chicken, it really changes the taste from great to chewy. The garlic naan was also really good (4pieces) I did not like the tap water.

I waited about 45 minutes for a plate with roasted chicken thighs, rice, salad, and hummus with pita. Which I would normally think would be super quick to plate and get out. Unfortunately, the chicken was extremely over-salted (I had to remove the skin), the rice was mushy, the salad had no dressing, and the hummus had a very odd, overly smooth texture that was off-putting. I ate one piece of chicken and couldn't finish the rest. I hate writing negative reviews, especially for local businesses, but the wait just wasn't worth it.

If you want a taste of excellent Persian food in El Paso, Tasty Kabob is definitely worth a visit…read more The appetizers are a great place to start. Try their Sampler with ghormeh sabzi, Shirazi salad, and hummus; are all prepared fresh and have that unmistakable homemade quality. The Shirazi salad is particularly refreshing, with bright flavors that pair beautifully with the richer grilled dishes, while the hummus is smooth, fresh, and perfect for sharing. The chicken kabob is one of my favorites--tender, juicy, well-seasoned, and grilled just right. The beef kabob is outstanding, flavorful and beautifully cooked, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The accompanying Persian rice and tahdig are equally memorable. The crispy tahdig combined with fragrant rice and barberries provides a wonderful contrast of textures and flavors--the slight tartness of the berries works exceptionally well with the grilled meats. Eshi, the owner snd chef prepares the food à la minute, and you can taste the freshness in each dish. Service was a little slow during our visit because a new chef was being trained, but the quality of the food made the wait worthwhile. The Persian-inspired décor adds a pleasant cultural touch, but the real reason to come here is the food: fresh appetizers, excellent kabobs, and some genuinely delicious Persian rice and tahdig.

You can tell there's pride behind every plate. For the El Paso community, this place is something special. It brings a level of authenticity, warmth, and quality that's hard to come by. Can i get a halal yes??…read more I've been feening for one these rice bowls with lamb and possibly some falafel. I love the combination of rice with the meats which typically have this yogurt sauce to it. I made sure to ask if they had any rice entrees with both lamb and falafel which they confirmed they do. There showed a menu with their rice options of meats and combo for $11, so i assume it would be a mix. I also asked if it came with any salad and they confirmed they do which consisted of lettuce and tomatoes. The total came to $14 and some change and I asked if they take cash. They confirmed they do and I gave a $20. Unfortunately they didn't have any coins for the exact change and asked if it was ok that I was short. I thought that was unprofessional but just shrugged it off at this point and said yes. Service was considerably fast since there was two people working the truck. I waited for about 5 mins and got my food. Had rice for DAYS in this box entree and what felt like just enough meats and falafel. The salad was also obviously looking on the spoiled side and wasn't good to eat at all. So i just ate everything else and half the rice and called it. I may go for a gyro instead since that might be more worth it instead of the rice entree. This area is really fun and relaxing so I wouldn't mind coming back.

The vegetable biryani was good, no longer "aromatic (perfumey)", thankfully. Lots of different vegs. The kulcha was very good, as well as the samosas. It took a very long time to get the food - almost an hour - but I'm really not complaining. I've waited five years to come back here, so what's a few more minutes ;) But hopefully the next time won't be so long...or... so long. The inside is nicer than before with blinds instead of the curtains and overall a bit nicer and cleaner, fresher looking/feeling. In the middle of the summer, it was very hot inside. I don't eat much in restaurants anymore and had my food "to go" anyway. The outdoor seating is minimal, ratchety little seats and tables and in the sun. It'd be nice if that could be their next upgrade project. If you are looking for a buffet, they no longer have one. I for one, never did the buffet before covid and have ZERO desire to ever get food from a buffet ever. For those who don't understand why they haven't brought it back (perhaps they will in the future, who knows?), buffets are THE worst, most unhygienic places, full of bacteria, and why so many people through the years before covid have gotten sick after eating in buffet restaurants. I could care less if they ever bring it back, though it may be good for their business, esp during the lunch hour when people don't have time to wait for food. Overall, it's pretty good, and currently, it's the best Indian food in town. The only other place barely got started and doesn't have a full menu yet. Sadly, if the other Indian place gets going, and is any good, I probably will only be at India Hut once in a blue moon, as it is in a very hard to get to area from the Northeast side of town. I imagine this location would be good for NMSU students though, if they know it's here.
