The restaurant is big, big enough for our group of 6. And it was cool to me that almost every table and chairs were a little different. The service was great, and the servers were attentive to us and got what we needed. My friend was letting us know about this place and she liked their pad Thai. When I go to Thai places, I typically order the pad see ew. I ordered the pad see ew with chicken with a spice level of 2. The food was alright, not terribly spicy. I added some extra red crushed peppers to the dish to have more of a kick. But the dish itself didn't taste very put together. It felt like they cooked the noodles together and the protein separately. I think it was probably done this way because two friends of mine also ordered pad see ew and they had different proteins, but they also felt the same way with their dish. My chicken was dry, not very seasoned, and didn't have that pad see ew sauce smothered on it. Great service overall, I'd probably give it another chance if my friends want to go back. Nailed the spice on both of our dishes, green curry and pad see yu! The waitress asked for a number (1-5) to describe our desired spice level, which is low key brilliant. What I loved most about this restaurant -- because yes our entrees were amazing -- were the cute mismatched tables and the gong in the entryway. There's also a big golden elephant on the wall, the Thai version of a 5-point buck. Bonus points that the restaurant's a/c was at a normal level, even during a heat wave. I was craving Thai food and stumbled across this place after it came across my feed on Yelp. Without hesitation, I made the short drive and arrived at this beautiful restaurant! I went early in the evening, and was one of a few people there. The space is large and while there are a few tables for two-tops, I chose to sit at the bar because the chairs looked so comfortable (and they were). The menu is extensive and gives plenty of options and combos. I chose the crispy spring rolls as an appetizer and got the Thai fried rice with chicken and shrimp. Note, the rice comes with a protein, so everything else is addtl. Within mere minutes my spring rolls arrived. They came in an order of 5 and are accompanied with sweet and sour sauce. Unless stated by the patron, there's always a delay from when you get the appetizer until you get your main. Unfortunately, there was some miscommunication because within 2 mins of me getting my rolls, my food came. I wasn't quite ready but knew It would get cold, so I had to make do. The plate is large and is easily something that can be split with two people with each person getting a significant amount. I was taken aback because I was expecting it to be smaller. The first few bites were as I had hoped- full of flavor, well-seasoned, and just overall good! I did the best I could but knew there was NO way I could even attempt to make a dent and ultimately tapped out. Service was outstanding. While I went early, I still get the vibe that it's a relaxed atmosphere regardless of how full it is and you're guaranteed to get a good meal and good service. We tried the pad see eu (broad rice noodles) with beef, red curry with chicken, Thai fried rice with shrimp, Thai dumplings, a Thai tea and a Thai coffee. The only complaint was the beverages. They may be great in the store when they are likely served over crushed ice. But these came in plastic bottles and weren't very cold. And they must bottle them themselves at the restaurant because there's no labeling on the bottle and one of our lids was not set on the bottle correctly so it leaked a bit... but not much, because they placed them in the bag standing up. Overall... a great experience. The food was hot and tastey. The fresh basil in the pad see eu was a great addition. And the dumplings were like a Thai version of shumai like you might get at a dim sum restaurant. That was an unexpected addition to the menu. read more

The pad see yu was reallly delicious with perfect amount of sweetness and flavor! They also provided a generous amount of chicken in the dish. We tried the Thai beef pho for the first time, and it was okay. Tastes similar to the Vietnamese pho, but the wait time was about 30 minutes... The roti with milk was really good too. We asked them to not drizzle the condensed milk, so it's easier for us to control the sweetness. My husband and I got dinner here on Saturday night at around 6pm and we were sat right away. The servers were attentive and i could be wrong, but I think the owner was there working too. We had the papaya salad as an appetizer. I loved it, it's lemony and garlicky. I love the fish sauce flavor on it too. My husband didn't care for it though. I didn't ask, but the staff appeared all to be Thai. We had Thai Dumplings, Pad Thai, and Red Curry. All were excellent. They have spice levels (called stars) from 1-5. Thai Mama owner also opened Sasi Thai Market which is next door to it. We went to this market several months ago. The market is smaller in size and some essential food in stock. We saw they were moving furnitures into Thai mama at that time so we have been planning to go here since then. From what I understand, The founder of Thai Kitchen, Sasimonthon Ongartsutthikul, opened the existing Thai Kitchen location in Maryland Heights in 1999 but sold it to an unrelated party. Therefore she wants to open another restaurant with similar menu which is Thai mama. The owner was nice and talked to us today about Thailand and how she visited Korea one time in the past. The decor seems mismatch, however the food and its quality make up for it. We got the Nam Tok Beef for appetizer, we also had Khai Soi and Tom yum noodle soup.
