I ordered the 5 piece chicken tenders with the medium spice level, and they were cooked perfectly. The medium heat was just right. It added plenty of flavor without overpowering the chicken, so you could still taste the quality of the meat. It was a great balance. I also ordered the 3 piece tender meal with no spice for my child. Unfortunately, she said it was too spicy for her to eat, so I would recommend they pay closer attention to orders requesting no spice. The signature Chuck's sauce that came with the meal tasted like a combination of barbecue sauce and honey mustard. It was actually pretty good and surprised me. I was a little disappointed that they don't offer regular honey mustard or barbecue sauce as separate dipping sauce options. I also ordered honey as a dipping sauce for both meals, but I only received one small packet of honey for all eight chicken tenders. One packet simply isn't enough for that much chicken. This location is next to Cecil Whittaker's, and both restaurants share the same front counter employee, although each has its own pickup window. There is no indoor seating, so this location is pickup and delivery only. Overall, I really enjoyed the chicken and would definitely order it again. The spice level was perfect, the breading was crispy, the chicken was hot and moist, the coleslaw added even more texture and a tangy contrast, and the fries had a perfect crisp. Staff was fantastic, friendly and efficient. It wasn't too hot so I ate at one of the tables in the middle of the parking lot. My SO heard a radio spot for this restaurant and we both decided to take a chance. Not knowing what to expect, we giggled at the fact that it's just a small place with only a walk-up window. We arrived about 30 minutes prior to closing and the line was wrapping down the sidewalk. Surprisingly the service was quick - even with the long line we only waited about 10 minutes for our food. The staff was extremely helpful with their menu since we were newbies. The food is prepared fresh. The chicken was hot, juicy and flavorful. The chicken strips are HUGE. We actually could've shared one meal. Beware: even the lowest "hot" level is still pretty spicy. So if you're sensitive go with "0" heat. And don't pass up the frozen lemonade! Price is pretty reasonable. I think we paid around $20 for two combos (chicken, fries and drink). We've been back more than once after our first visit. We are customers for life! read more

I've been coming to Chuck's Hot Chicken since they opened and, in general, they've put out good chicken - there is a big "but", though. One in every three or four visits involves tough tenders that are almost inedible. My wife and daughter don't seem to notice, but I sure do, which is part of the reason why we still get food from this place. The flavors are good and the spice ramps up significantly with each number. Service is pretty basic, only involving speaking to a person in a hole in the wall. I've never had a problem service-wise. Odds are in your favor that the chicken will be good and we've never gotten ill, but the toughness of the chicken from time to time makes me not want to eat here. read more

I'd honestly probably try another side next time. - Chuck's Sauce - Every chicken place seems to have a sauce very similar to this. It reminded me of Cane sauce. - Garlic cheese curds - Someone we went with ordered this. I had one, and it was incredibly good. I'd definitely get it again next time. Some tips: - This is probably more of a grab and go spot. There is no indoor seating, and outdoor seating is pretty limited. I was really excited about this location opening up given it is closer to me than the other locations and I hadn't tried it before. We ordered ahead of time and it was ready for pickup when we arrived. I got the classic Nashville hot chicken sandwich at heat level 3. Overall, I would give the sandwich a 3.5 out of 5. I really enjoyed the heat that came with level 3 and the chicken itself was juicy and moist. But the batter the chicken was breaded with was absolutely dripping with oil and I could really taste it so I thought that took away from the sandwich. There's a buttery garlic flavor to them that makes you keep reaching for another. Served with Ranch, the ranch helps to reduce the richness of the cheese. Fyi.. they have great Ranch! Not too much mayonnaise in the mix. The sandwich was hot and fresh, great crispness along with the fact it was juicy and seasoned well. Man. I've been looking for GOOD chicken for a long time. You have your usual suspects with the chain restaurants. We know where you have to go for flavor but it gets boring after a while. Then you have a couple mom n pop joints that will do in a pinch. But you don't crave it. This place? They do chicken right all the way down to the container choice that prevents sogginess. Beware! They aren't playing with that spice level AT ALL. If you are used to spice then you should be comfortable at the medium. It has flavor, has some spice and it is still comfortable to eat. If you want to go in a level, be prepared. It's harder to enjoy. But if you're really into spicy food give it a try. I wouldn't dare try their top 2 spice levels, it seems insane. After a few more visits, it's time for an update. I'm impressed with how they've streamlined since their original opening. The online order process has been updated with customization of items ordered and you can now swap sauces. They also added a phone number to their Yelp site ( I didn't use it but I was glad to see it added for questions). The times I've ordered since my original review the timing has been on point as well! Today my text said my order would be ready at 11:25. I pulled up at 11:23 and it was at the window when I went to collect it. The chicken is still the tastiest you will find! Two metal tables on a grass strip in the parking lot are the only seating - no shade; not useful on a hot day like today. Memphis-style hot chicken is the attraction here. Sandwich has a nice, lightly breaded chicken bread on a large brioche bun, served at your choice of six heat levels, with pickles, cheese, and a sauce on the side. Bottled drinks available. They were not busy, but it still took 15 minutes to make my order. SMALL average chicken wings and RUDE customer service. The first time I went they messed up my order but corrected it. The man who helped was nice however the young white woman who brought out the food made a rude comment about how I could be stealing (which was absolutely a microagression) as she gave me the food. Tried again today and my wings were so small advised how small they were and was told to talk to the fry cook. The woman was rude and said the wings aren't small they are medium. I'm sorry you feel that way. Very rude and awful customer service at least the first time they fixed my order when they gave the incorrect item. Won't be coming back. And will post this review across all my social media. If you do decide to order here hopefully you get a friendly and helpful employee that makes your order with integrity. EIGHT little polio looking wings for almost $22!!! Over $2.50 per wing...Robbery. (I wasn't paying attention, just ordered and paid with my card, didn't realize the receipt until I got home).
