I love this nursery. They have a great collection of flowers, annuals, perennials, herbs, veggies, etc etc etc. There are three green houses, so make sure to check out all of them. There are so many things by the two smaller greenhouses if you're looking for something specific. If you have any questions, the staff are knowledgeable to answer them or to ask another staff member if they don't know. The price is comparable to other local nurseries but the service seems much kinder and personable. Inside, they have tons of seed packets and gardening supplies or gifts. This is another one of my favorite local plant nurseries. I come here for indoor plants, herbs, and plant pots. The store's beautiful front greenhouses are open in the spring and summer with a good selection of flowers, vegetables, and herbs. Inside the store, they sell seeds, house plants, pottery, and plant care items. The staff is aways incredibly friendly. I'll always remember bringing in my peace lily after I overwatered it, and the staff gave me tips on how to save it! Today, I stopped by and purchased a Spanish oregano plant and terra-cotta pot. The staff provided care instructions and then potted it for me at no extra charge! read more

Megan was so good on the phone. I was ordering a beautiful tree (from out of state) and plant for my son and I wanted it to be nice. They finally helped me decide on a service berry. It was expensive- over $350 and kind of small- 2 feet tall, but my kids liked it. But they put in a rose bush on the side of the house and it was a twig for $39. It never took and died before the spring. I called the following summer, thinking I had some sort of warranty since they had planted it for me and megan told me she would never had put in a rose in November and there was NO warranty! Thank you very much! NOT! Oh well! :( :( 4.5 for listening on the phone call, 1 for value and standing by their product. read more

Great gem just off of Saddle Creek...lots of options for annuals, perennials, herbs, fruits, and vegetables. Service is fantastic, whenever I am in, they always give me great advice and lead me in the right direction. My last visit in, they had multiple flower bulbs to choose from, which was awesome for spring. Definitely not the cheapest but you get what you pay for! read more

I found the owner to be very helpful in guiding me to an area which had indoor plants (way in the back would never have found it). I picked one lovely overpriced succulent that I am dearly in love with! I posted some pictures of the plant I got and how I made it into piece of home decor in the photos section. They could work on their customer service. While I do appreciate the liberty of browsing without being hassled, the service was apathetic at best. Cirian's and Mulhall's understand that end of the business 10x better. That said, Indian Creek is pretty great. The best customer service I received was from a guy tending to the plants outside, and there were quite a few to be tended! What sticks out for me the most about this spot is that they have an awesome selection of bulbs for fall planting. My mom has been mooning over giant alliums and I came home with some to mail to her. In addition, I picked up some tulip bulbs and made a mental note to come back for daffodil and hyacinth bulbs once I make my way over to that section of the garden. Indian Creek has a pretty impressive selection of houseplants as well, and I can see myself going back for those and the aforementioned bulbs. So: Cirian's for small stuff, Mulhall's for the big stuff, and Indian Creek for the bulbs and convenience. read more

You can't beat the selection, customer service or even prices of Indian Creek. Every year, I look forward to a springtime visit here. It's where I'll stock up on annuals and perennials for the garden. Plus mulch, compost and miscellaneous garden supplies. Oh, and they have a resident cat who's known to be spotted sleeping on the cat nip plants. Priceless. read more

Last summer tried to get them to come to my home to do landscaping (They say that offer that service) - mine was a small job and I guess after stopping there 3 times asking when they would call / come I realized it was not going to happen. Guess my job was just too small for them to even call me back. I then had someone else do the work - and took pictures to Indian Creek to show them my area and where I needed plants. I bought EXACTLY what they told me would be perfect. Not so much. 3 of the 5 died and I showed them pictures they said "stress from sun" "over water" was the issue and they do not replace/guarantee "perennials. Poor customer service - poor follow up and poor response to what they told me to buy. I would STAY AWAY from them - they certainly lost this customer. read more

I drive by this place every day, but had never given it a lick of thought until I won a gift card at a charity event. Normally I would just buy my garden supplies at Lowes, but since I had a gift card I stopped in to check this place out. The staff were SO very helpful! I had three different employees offer to help me. And they all seemed very passionate and knowledgeable about the work they do. One gal wandered all over the greenhouse looking for a blooming gardenia...I didn't even ask about gardenia's, but she said, "Honey I'm not trying to sell it to you, I just want to make sure you don't leave here without smelling it! It's so delightful!" ...how sweet :) :) And as if this place wasn't charming enough, they have a kitty cat "Captain" that lives there and runs the show! I'm in love! read more

This locally owned nursery is conveniently located on Saddle Creek Road in Midtown. The native Nebraska redbud I purchased here three years ago is thriving, as are the the clematis and other perennials I purchased. My latest stop was for vegetables - strong healthy plants. The staff here is always glad to answer any questions, whether you are purchasing plants or not. Mulch is loaded into the car for you. Popped in today after having driven by for years. Became quite the houseplant collector this spring through summer, and really wished I had thought to stop in sooner. Was really blown away by the selection here for a smaller, locally-owned store. The prices were either better or similar to the larger nurseries in town. The plants looked beautifully taken care of. The three employees I crossed paths with were friendly, but not overly so. I loved walking through, and though I only made a tiny purchase today, it will be a place I'll go back to over and over again, for sure! read more

I came into the nursery today ( May 18) and the checkout person, 2 feet away, was not wearing a mask, although all the other customers and employees were. I think it shows a complete disrespect and lack of care for customers that the owners have not made this mandatory for everyone in the nursery. If Menard's can do this with hundreds of employees and thousands of customers, then certainly Indian Creek Nursery can insure a safer environment for their customers. They are very involved with the Dundee community and have many older volunteers come help them plant baskets in the spring. All these volunteers and customers should be respected and cared for by a very simple solution- masks. Get your act together, your priorities straight for protecting your customers- the Dundee neighborhood nursery is not being neighborly-or thoughtful-or safe. read more

They have Supertunias from Proven Winners which from past experience are the best petunias hands down. And their price was good on those. The hanging baskets are priced more than other local nurseries and garden centers by more than $10 so shop around for those, unless you absolutely love a combo there. They have some unique plants and selection of coleus is beautiful. I purchased a few Supertunias in unique colors and a couple annuals I wasn't familiar with but looked striking with the other flowers I fell in love with. The organization of flowers wasn't logical to me and it seemed cluttered with hibiscus and other larger potted plants scattered under tables. Worth a stop to see what they have but give other local nurseries/garden centers a try, too. read more

Bought 3 trees in Spring 2018 with 5 year guarantee. The nursery planted the trees at my house and assured me that the trees were well situated on my property. All 3 trees did not make it thru the winter. I have been in to speak with the owner 3 times. Everytime, they assure me that he will call me and he never calls. I still have 3 dead trees and I am out almost $800. NEVER AGAIN! Buyer beware! read more

From Chicago, I phoned over a dozen places asking if they had a Swedish Ivy. It was to be a gift for a friend who recently moved to Omaha. I was taken aback when I was told yes! Not only did Indian Creek have Swedish Ivy, but had it available in several different varieties. I asked and was given prices for the different types of Swedish Ivy and planters when it was suggested I purchase a gift card. Perfect... why didn't I think of that? The gift card with my comments will be in the mail tomorrow. The staff couldn't have been more courteous and helpful with this phone transaction! I've always felt this place, with the exception of ONE employee, was less than helpful: curt and not customer-friendly. But they had nice flowers, and I wanted to give my money to the not-box-stores, so I kept going back. I spent a lot of money there this spring on perennials since I had my patio redone. I'm a pretty good gardener. Of all those plants, two new ones died. I've grown this perennial before and never had a problem; I know how to make plants thrive and bloom. So I dug up the dead plants last night and stuck them in the closest (disposable) pots I could find. Today, I took them in for an exchange. First the female employee said"....oh...do you have a receipt?" I did not, but since I'd shopped there like twice a week and was looking to simply exchange them, I didn't foresee a problem. Then Mr. Genius behind the counter exclaims "These are from Lowe's!" Yes, they were in Lowe's pots (with the tag of a completely different flower on them). I explained that I grabbed these pots since they were the closest on hand. He examined the tags suspiciously. I'm pretty hard to rile, but basically he just accused me to my face of trying to commit consumer fraud. He again said "Well, the tag says Lowe's." Okay, now I'm mad. I said calmly, "No, I don't do stuff like that, nor would I." The other employee then said "Well, we don't offer any guarantee on our plants." (Then WHY did you ask for a receipt???) Then Mr. Genius chimes in, "Well, they're dry. You gotta water them. That's why it died." Yes, it was dry around the edges because I dug it up yesterday and brought it in today, Einstein. It was already dead when I dug it up. I said "Yes, they were well watered. I do know to water plants." The lady shrugged and said again "Well, there's no guarantee." I said "So I'm stuck?" She shrugged again. The guy said "Sorry." I replied, "I'm confused by the no-guarantee, since nearly every garden store offers one, but I'm more concerned that you called me a liar, then told me I need to water plants to keep them alive." He followed me out, "What was I supposed to think? The tag said Lowe's!" I said, "Yes, you said that twice. It's so nice to be accused of being dishonest, and then told--incorrectly--I killed them because I didn't water them." I took them plants over to the perennial guy, the only nice guy there, and gave them to him to hopefully save. I told him I would never shop there again. I was so upset at this point I yelled to who I thought was a manager that I was never shopping there again. (She did not respond at all.) Across the street, the original Mr. Genius heard me and shrugged. He freaking SHRUGGED--not "I'm so sorry, how can we make this right?". I yelled at him, I admit it. I've never done that in my life. Between the indifferent service from the others, and this seriously foot-in-mouth employee, that was my last stop there. If my place of business had a customer who was that pissed off, I'd make some attempt to at least keep them. I must have spent a few hundred there this spring. Never again. read more

Hate to post a one star cause owner seems to be friendly and employee at Xmas tree lot in the nursery was outstanding in every which way and was rewarded for his hard work. Recently purchased a tree and was I believe priced right along w the other nurseries in the area other than Sams club for half the price for same tree after the fact. While purchasing Politely asked him if he's giving any local Area resident or first time customer discounts and he responded " no I think that's the price we're going with today " just an odd way of saying we don't appreciate your business . As good faith from business owner just say" well I want too but my trees are slightly cheaper than other tree lots in area " wasn't asking for 15-20 % . heck even if he gave me 5% it's the thought that counts for me the be a repeat customer next year or even an incentive to come back to his nursery for my garden needs. Even Tree lots in greedy sunny southern California make deals every year. You can call me SCROOGE after reading my post but it's what it is!!! read more
