I'm naturally suspicious that a proprietor has enlisted their friends to provide a more favorable review in the face of an honest assessment, albeit perhaps not at a star rating proprietor would like. I wanted to do an honest review to see if the business owner was looking to Yelp for free advertising or if reviewer Kim J. was having a bitchy day. Having now visited the business myself, Yelp-gineering has never been more prevalent. The candles themselves are neither as awesome as the "one-review wonders" would suggest, nor are they awful. The candles are a little pricey, but they are also made by the business. Normally, I wouldn't give this place 1 star, but I have to object to people who enlist their friends to boost their star rating artificially. Inside the store, they sell seeds, house plants, pottery, and plant care items. The staff is aways incredibly friendly. I'll always remember bringing in my peace lily after I overwatered it, and the staff gave me tips on how to save it! Today, I stopped by and purchased a Spanish oregano plant and terra-cotta pot. The staff provided care instructions and then potted it for me at no extra charge!
