So I came across this spot for lunch and seen the reviews so was ready to try it. I ordered my meal online of Aloo matar and it came to about $14.93. When I arrived I parked in the plaza parking lot. I walked in and was greeted by the server. I told I was there for pick up and he said my name.amd pointed to where the food was. I took my food and left. When I got home I dug in and it was really tasty and filling. It had the right amount of spice and was seasoned very well. I will be back to try more.

The food was amazing. I'm vegetarian and have never seen an Indian place that served meat alternatives. I got the vegan drumsticks in the chili garlic sauce and the vegan chicken in mango curry. I definitely recommend. Also the rice was moist. A lot of other places give you dry/grainy basmati rice. But this rice was cooked perfect. Good portion sizes too. The curry was in a quart container, or at least close to, instead of a pint container like most other Indian places I go to. I'll be back!

I had an opportunity to visit this place for the first time with family. The host's name was Raj. He was very friendly and took the time to explain the parts of Indian and food origins of various of the different dishes. He explained the direction in which the business would be going cuisine wise. I enjoyed the education. Customer experience goes a long way. The food was very flavorful to say the least! The chicken in the chili chicken was seasoned and tender! The garlic naan was superb! The tandoori grill was overwhelmingly good! The chicken biryani was good. The tamarind sauce wasn't sweet as I am used to but had a spice mixed in it. I will definitely return!

I had the pleasure of dining in and ordered butter chicken with a side of garlic naan. Food came out quickly and the butter chicken was spot on. We stopped by Kebab & Kurries which I didn't realize was by the Dhaba group. There was no one dining in (but plenty of takeout orders) and we were seated immediately. We tried the Papri Chaat which is basically a Samosa Chaat but using papri (fried flour crackers) instead. The dish had so many bright & refreshing flavors and I loved the contrast of textures from the crispy papri to the creamy yogurt & chutneys. I enjoyed trying it but it definitely doesn't beat samosa chaat! We got the Mixed Grill Platter which was the least "worth it" dish. For ~$32, it had a nice assortment of chicken, beef, and shrimp but some pieces were more tender & juicy than others, and after a while, the flavor profiles all blended together. It's a good source of protein but not too memorable. The Dhaba Butter Chicken was delicious! The chicken didn't taste super fresh to me but the sauce was creamy, buttery, and aromatic. It paired well with the basmati rice and Butter Naan which they make so well. One of the better Naans I've had in North Jersey! Service was quick & friendly. Good try!

They have options to go for the mild choice if you can't do spice. This restaurant is situated within downtown Montclair - which is such a charming shopping block. We ordered: - honey chili lotus - saffron butter crab (generous portion size of crab)! - goat cheese naan - Goan fish curry Every dish was so good! The highlight was the saffron butter crab - that umami flavor was insane. The honey lotus was crispy and packed with flavor. The Goan fish curry was satisfying and not spicy at all which we both appreciated. I also enjoyed the 3 complimentary sauces on the table - none of them were too spicy. I highly recommend this place! The service was great as well.

The space itself is on the smaller side, but it is intimate, warm, and always buzzing. The staff is incredibly attentive and welcoming, making you feel taken care of from the moment you enter. Parking is street based, but there's a garage right across, and honestly, the area is very walkable so it's not a hassle to find street parking. They kick things off with a complimentary appetizer (crispy chips with dipping sauce); I ate before the phone -oops! The mango lassi is not your typical thick, yogurt heavy version, and the one here is lighter, smoother, almost like a refreshing mango smoothie - also not pictured, big oops! Why I LOVE the place after the first visit: the curries (ordered the paneer and chickpea)!! Unlike many Indian restaurants where dishes can feel overly heavy or leave you feeling weighed down, the curries here are light yet incredibly aromatic and full of flavor. You get all the richness of the ingredients and spices without that post meal sluggishness. Rice comes complimentary with the curry (always a win), and the naan is a must order. Both the garlic and butter naan were packed with flavor-- went very well with the curries! Note: It does lean a bit on the pricier side, but the quality, freshness, and dining experience make it worth it. Definitely a spot I'd come back to again to try other things on the menu.

This chic, dimly lit, BYOB spot is perfect for a nice dinner with family or friends--or a date night. I dined here over the holidays and absolutely loved both the food and the overall experience. The place wasn't crowded, but the weirdness started from the moment we sat down and for some reason getting as many menus as we were a party was a big deal. Somehow after some time they figured it out. The descriptions on the menus are copy paste or AI. Phrases like "this dish commonly contains potatoes" appears pretty often. Clearly not written to describe the specific dish being served. While ordering I had to change my order twice to get something they actually had. But again even my third pick tasted real good. Everything took about three times longer than it should have. In this malaises of service with only two other tables sat. Every order was trickled in, with me getting my appetizer after everyone else was done. The staff had no idea what they were brining out, and telling bowls of meat in a meat in a brown sauce apart was impossible. The food started to get cold by the time this was sorted out. The biggest blow. We weren't asked about rice, so we expected it would just come wish dishes. We just got one bowl for six people. Not a big deal if in the slow service anyone checked up on us. At the end I left hungry and no one wanted to order desert as this seemed like it would add at least one more hour to our ordeal. But the food was real good.
