We stopped here on our way to the Sequoias--and it turned out to be a very solid restaurant stop. The place had a surprisingly wide selection of Indian dishes, snacks, and packaged goodies. Free chah was a nice touch (and honestly better than most paid ones elsewhere), and the samosas? Crisp, flavorful, no regrets. We liked it enough that we made a point to stop again on our way back. Picked up a bunch of Indian biscuits for the road-- you can see the selection in the photo. Safe and clean. Many other restaurants. Received order from worker later with a smile. Lunchtime!! Order split. Tandoori Chicken was tender, seasoned & DELICIOUS! Samosa was Great! Stopped here for lunch. We ordered the veg pakora, chaana masala, plain naan, chicken seekh kabob. I felt like the food was standard or okay at best. But then again, it is at a gas station so I think I should've lowered my expectations. The service was okay. Stopped to get gas and stumbled upon this place. I'm glad that this was an option and it did not disappoint. I ordered something small and got paneer pakora. I have been driving by this Gas Stop for a few months now and decided to stop by and see how it turned out, to my surprise the sandwich board had an advertisement for Curry Lamb and that set my mood for lunch. As I walked through the door I noticed that, albeit being brand new, the atmosphere was very clean and well kept. I found the restaurant of my choice with little effort and made my order with ease, the service was quick and pleasant and my order would be served to me at my table. (I liked that) The garlic Naan was scrumptious and didn't over power the meal with garlic, the Curry Lamb was spicy...not nose-running spicy but delicious, also the flavor veggies were tangy with enough hottish spice to do the trick, the rice wasn't bad just a tad flat for my taste but still appropriate for the order. My love for Indian food is well documented here on Yelp and for me Indian Curry Naan is up to par with some of my other favorites. This place is truly a hidden gem. Right off the freeway on 99 and Avenue 7 inside the TA rest stop. I called in my order for pick up and it was ready right when I arrived. I ordered the butter chicken, chicken curry, samosa, garlic naan, and aloo gobi. Everything tastes freshly made. Inside was a typical rest stop but it had other indoor restaurants for easy and quick order foods. Found this in a gas station rest stop while on drive to Sacramento from LA. Was pleasantly surprised and relieved to find Indian Punjabi food close to US 99 freeway. The food we ordered was all vegetarian and the staff was kind to add to our order complementary rice and gulab Jamuns. They have complementary chai too which makes it even more attractive. The restrooms were clean and well maintained. We found this place by accident when we stopped at an EV charging station in Madera .....we were surprised to find a selection of eateries inside the food court, that was opposite to the charging stations. Indian curry naan stop was a new name for us and we decided to try an item from their all day breakfast menu. We got the paratha and Desi omelette combo. The paratha was plain and just okay. They forgot the yoghurt. The Desi omelette is advertised to be made with four eggs, onion, tomato, cilantro and garlic. As such you would expect some texture and taste in the preparation. Unfortunately, this was not the case, you could not taste the garlic or see any tomato or bite into any pieces of onion ......instead, the omelette was green and brown in color. It seems to have been made with a green sauce which was scattered within the omelette. And the omelette was dry and lacked flavor. Service was good. read more

Great find in a clean truck stop. A bit pricey but Indian seems to be that way it's just that this is a food court in a truck stop. Great garlic naan, good butter chicken. I would love combos, smaller portions but oh well. The truck stop is one of the nicest I've ever seen. There was a lady cleaning around me the whole time at 6:30 pm nowhere near closing. The displays of merchandise were of above average and there is beer on Tap and wine tasting, Presumably for your passenger. Don't be fooled by the truck stop location, this place is a gem. We stopped there to try the new travel plaza with our kids and were happily surprised by all the options. For desi food, this place has mailed the flavors. We tried their lamb and chicken kabobs, they were so delicious, I wish i had the patience to take pictures. We also tried their Bhindi, saag and samosas. Everything was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place. It's definitely worth the exit you'll need to take on your travel, but it will satisfy you. Owners were there as well. Since it's a brand new place, they are looking for feedback.
