Tandoori Grill is a south of Shaw gem!! We ordered Butter Chicken, Chicken Biriyani, Samosa Chaat, Garlic Naan, Jasmine rice and Mango Lassi. Every dish was the best of its kind and all dishes were enough for two. The Chicken Biriyani could easily serve 4 as a side dish. Chicken was tender in both dishes and portion of chicken was plenty. The Samosa chaat especially impressed us with its perfect balance of sweet, sour and spicy notes. I especially appreciated that the samosas retained their crispy texture! All dishes were ordered mild spice and it was just the right amount of heat. Service was excellent and wait time was reasonable as were the prices. There is plenty of seating inside and restaurant can easily accommodate large parties. They also offer catering which we will seriously consider the next time we have a large gathering! read more

Came here during lunch time on a Tuesday. We were the only ones in the restaurant so service was pretty quick. We ordered the butter chicken, tandoori chicken, garlic nan, and saag paneer. They also have little sauces they provided you with for the food. We ate family style. All the food was good. The place was big with a lot of seating options and their pick up area too. First time trying this place. We ordered way too much food, and will probably have it be spicier next time... Samosas were excellent. We had the regular kind and also and "upgraded" version, One that had yogurt sauce and some additional toppings. Excellent! Chicken dishes were both great also. Basmati rice and garlic naan were great for soaking up the sauces, and the mango lassi cooled things down. I don't think they've been open very long, and unfortunately, there appeared to be one server for the entire place, so things came out at the kitchen slowly. It was tough getting more water and getting the order taken also. Still, I thought the food was great, very reasonably priced, and it's great to support local family run businesses like this. We came here on a weekend and thought that the food was overall pretty good. The service could use a little more work. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, the tandoori chicken, and the shahi paneer. The chicken tikka masala was pretty good and standard, though a little on the spicier side. The tandoor chicken had a little more of a stickier sauce used, almost like a sweet chili sauce for the marinade, which is not quite what we were expecting but it was still pretty good. I asked about the Shahi Paneer and whether it had peas. The guy wasn't sure and then said he could ask to add them. However when we got the dish there were no peas to be found. Saw this place driving by a few days go. Ordered via Door Dash last night for dinner. My order was processed, made and delivered in front of my door all within 30mins. Everything was securely packed and piping hot. I ordered garlic naan, samosas, butter chicken and goat curry. The entree's came in 16oz container. One order of samosa had 2 pieces. Everything tasted fresh. The samosa were fried to perfection the filling was delicious. The butter chicken was on point it was rich and creamy. It was our first time having goat curry we thought it was a bit on the salty side but we had nothing to compare it to since it was our first time trying it but we enjoyed the dish there was so much spices, such a flavorful dish and the goat was tasty and cooked well. Finally an Indian restaurant in south east Fresno area. They opened up just ten days ago and are still gearing up to offer more. The owner tells me they will offer a buffet soon and the stand is already in the dining room. Food is fresh and made to order with all the flavors expected from Indian cuisine. Staff is friendly and attentive but seemed occupied in the kitchen. There was a constant chant played on the speaker system that permeated throughout the dining area. One of the staff eventually put on some Indian pop music with a deep base. There is a TV in the corner with movies featured. A separate area for pick up orders. My new favorite place! Customer service is everything! And let me tell you, they've definitely got great customer service. The young woman who took our order was so polite and bubbly. We ordered to go super late but they treated us as if we were their very first customer ever dining in. We were offered to seat while waiting and was offered water. We politely declined what water because they were so close to closing but we appreciated it so much. This side of town needed an Indian restaurant for sure! The restaurant is very bright inside. They just recently opened and I think they need more beautiful cultural decor because the culture is nothing but beautiful! The music is loud and catchy I love it! I can tell by how sweet and delicious smelling the restaurant was upon walking in, that this was going to be a great experience. Heard about this place from two different friends on the same day, so of course the craving & the curiosity was immediately set in. I really like that they have photos of their dishes on the windows outside, the visuals definitely help me as someone who isn't quire as familiar as I'd like to be with Indian Cuisine. The inside of the restaurant is very roomy and it almost looks like you can rent the place for a party (saw a strobe light lol). Overall, the food was good. The naan was freshly made and the garlic naan wasn't too overpowering. I was disappointed when I cut into the samosa. Although it was hot and fresh on the outside, the middle was still cold. The chicken breast in the chicken tikka masala was very tough and I didn't like that either so I only had the sauce. The butter chicken was good and chicken meat was tender. Fish and veggies pakoras (not pictured because Yelp has a max I'm assuming since it didn't allow for me to include it) were hot, fresh, and tasty. Gluten sensitive people here's an option to change up the menu from the mundane terrible tasting GF food or salad you buy or go to restaurants. I had inquired about GF options and luckily the owner Amirk responded with those that were GF and I couldn't wait to try it out. The Gobi appetizer was fried and was hesitant bc I've had much luck with gf food that's fried at a restaurant. Omg I was so happy to have something fried and I didn't prepare it.
