Date: June 04, 2025 Order: Chicken Thali (It had one big round Nun cut in the middle, one butter chicken, one chicken curry, one bean curry, a good amount of rice, and some Kheer) Service: It was ready within 15 minutes Taste: Food was good but little spicy for me. Liked Butter chicken the most. Amount: Good enough to share between two persons. Price: $14.99. The price is good for the amount. Would I try this Thali again: Yes I have added the menu. And the picture of the thali.

I've gotten take away and delivery numerous times from Indian Flame. The food has always been good. It tastes like homemade, authentic Indian cuisine. The lady who usually waits on me at the counter has always been pleasant and welcoming. The atmosphere of the dining area is very casual. There are booths and table seating but no patio or outside dining. The market next door is accessible from inside the restaurant. The menu is extensive, offering everything from dosa to Indo-chinese dishes to chaat to tasty subjis and biryanis. I've enjoyed several dosas from here. I really like the way they package the crepe separately from the filling, allowing you to spread it when ready to eat. The subjis are accompanied by fluffy basmati. The restaurant also has a sweets case that is hard to resist. Indian Flame is located in Tanasbourne close to Target. There is plenty of parking available along with a nearby charging area. Bus 52 stops nearby too. If you like Indian food, give them a try.

We arrived at this restaurant for the first time without any specific plans in mind, simply hoping to explore the breakfast options. As soon as we walked in, we decided to check if they offered a breakfast menu. To our delight, we ordered the chicken sandwich and the lamb samosas, both of which were absolutely fantastic--definitely the highlights of our meal! The flavors were bold and authentic, making our visit truly enjoyable. Adjacent to the restaurant, we noticed a small grocery section that stocks a variety of Indian spices, which was a pleasant surprise. It's great to see such an integration of culture and cuisine! The overall ambiance of the place was clean and inviting, and the service was attentive and friendly, adding to our positive experience. We left feeling satisfied and excited about the prospect of returning to try their dinner menu in the future--it's definitely on our list!

5 pcs supposedly weighs half a pound

I bought this dessert (see attached picture) 3 days ago & it taste great my issue is how it was sold. I didn't see the attendant use a weighing scale but apparently just by assumption 5 pcs. Is half a pound costing me $6.99 is her hand a multi purpose scale to determine its half a pound? We are paying customers & should be treated fairly with an honest trasaction. How can the community support this store when this is how they treat their customers?

This is grilled (masala) sandwich which was cold on inside with huge chunks of cold potatoes

It's a hit or miss at this place. Some things on the menu are really good but some things are really bad. Giving it a 3/5 since cannot give a 2.5 This restaurant started of with really good food but quality declined in past few weeks. As an example: The grill sandwiches used to be great before, but now its cold & bland inside (photo attached). Pretty much similar stuff for other things on the menu. Do not recommend the Indo-Chinese (fried rice/noodles etc) as it's way too oily and not cooked properly m. Service is still good though, they've a polite & helpful staff. Ambiance is good too.

It's stepping out of suburbia and into a small part of India. I came as they were opening and was the only one here. I asked for tandoori lamb chops and a chaat to go with. The nice lady suggested samosa ragas chaat. It was marvelous! Many flavor and textures. Delicious! The Tandoori lamb chops were crazy well done. Next time I'll see if a wee bit less flame thrower could be applied. Great place! Nice people!

The weekend hours are a bit confusing, it seems like they are closed 230-430pm on weekends also (their website says differently) Food and ambience are great. Lots of tables, self serve area, order at the front and get a buzzer. Casual, comfortable, and clean. Huge menu with lots of options and specialty snack foods you don't see everywhere. We had a mango lassi, Masala dosa, chicken tikka masala and tawa roti (their tandoor was not working on this particular day 5/14/23) I appreciate that they don't use a lot of disposable products. Plates, bowls, trays are all reusable and sturdy.

Really delicious dosa, Indo-Chinese, Bombay street food (the veggie grilled sandwich and vada pav are yum!), and also really great Punjabi chole! Overall, it's authentic and we all had an amazing experience! Everyone enjoyed the flavors- be aware if you order spicy, it will be legit spicy!

Mango Lassi was smooth and delicious. The Tikka Masala we got was super tasty and creamy which I love! It's also next to an Indian grocery store so make sure to check them out as well!

I was genuinely excited to re-order from this place after a wonderful first experience with their…read moreMughlai dishes. Unfortunately, my second order via DoorDash missed the mark in two significant ways: 1) Spice level not honored: I ordered butter chicken and Mughlai paneer and selected "mild", specifically because my 5-year-old was going to eat with me. What arrived was unbearably hot, even for an adult used to spicy Indian food. I double-checked my receipt and the mild selection was clearly there. Neither dish was edible for my child, and I could barely get through it myself. What's especially frustrating is that my first order at mild spice came out perfectly mild. Dishes like butter chicken and Mughlai korma-style preparations are traditionally on the gentler end of the heat spectrum. It would be great if the restaurant could maintain consistency in honoring spice level selections, as it makes a difference for the person eating it. 2) No rice with the main course: In every Indian restaurant I've visited globally, a main entree comes with a side of rice as standard. I didn't select "extra rice" on DoorDash assuming this was a given, and added only a garlic naan. What arrived was two entrees and a very small portion of naan (two thin slices, really enough for one person), and no rice at all. A heads-up on the menu or at checkout that rice is not included would go a long way. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, because the food itself is very tasty!

The location and atmosphere is nothing special, but that isn't why you come here. Both times I've gone it's been busy, but we were able to get seated right away. The paneer makhani curry is delectable. It's rich, sweet, spicy, creamy, and has a great depth of flavor and spices. The shrimp biryani was the standout dish for me that I still keep thinking about. The rice was aromatic and cooked perfectly, while the shrimp was robust, bright, and very spicy. I would recommend ordering a spice level down from what you would normally get.The mini samosas were packed with flavor and I loved all onions in them. The garlic naan was also solid. All around incredible food!

Seating, water, Chai, extra-cost drinks, dishes, and dish bussing are all self-serve. The restaurant is kept clean. I've never been to India, but I do love Indian food, and this seems to be very authentic. I saw a few people eating only with their hands, so there's another sign. I tried a little bit of each one of the 20 or so dishes, and didn't like only two of them. About half of them I've never before seen on a buffet line. Here's what was on offer: Rice Specials: Chicken Biryani | Chettinad Veg Biryani | Coconut Rice Curries & Specials: Mango Tikka Masala | Kadai Goat | Mutter Paneer | Lobiya Masala South Indian Specials: Beans Usili | Pappad | Sambar | Rasam Appetizers: Chicken Ghee Roast | Veg Spring Rolls | Veg Manchurian Accompaniments & Sweets: Fruit Salad | Semiya Payasam | Masala Tea The naan seemed straight from a Sysco bag, with extreme uniformity and no crispness like you'd get from a tandoori oven. Overall, it's a delicious bargain at $15.49 plus 10% tip (an option for which actually pleasantly shows up on the checkout screen!), and I'd definitely return if I'm again in the area.

What we got was unexpected and not good. I was looking forward to the Butter Chicken that was on the buffet menu. What I found was a restaurant tray with a bit of sauce in it, and not a single piece of chicken. I thought, "No problem. I'll go again when they bring some more out." We were there about an hour. That pan was never changed or added to. I tried the sauce over some rice and it tasted good. It became obvious the longer I waited that they weren't going to refresh this dish. (The buffet still had over an hour before closing). Then there was a dish called Garlic Chicken. This consisted of small, very bony pieces of chicken that were very dark, having had any tenderness cooked out of them long ago. The boniness was a concern that even my wife mentioned without my prompting. It looked as if someone had taken a meat cleaver to a chicken and just hacked away at it. Jagged pieces of bone all over. Not good! There were some vegetarian options that I didn't try, and a dessert similar to Kheer, but made with skim milk, I think. It was runny like gruel. There were two employees there, I have no idea if a chef was hiding in the back, perhaps ashamed to show his or her face. These two were more interested in chatting and sitting than in doing something so ridiculous as updating the hot dishes. I am on a mission now to try and find a decent Indian Buffet. We haven't been to a good one since Sagat stopped serving the buffet during Covid. Oh, one last note: They had a sign instructing customers to reuse their plates. Really? They were too damn lazy to wash the dishes, I guess. We used new plates. As for this hole-in-the-wall, we will NOT be back!
