Everything was fresh and portions were very good for the price. And my husband and I ordered a lot ( expecting to take leftovers). We tried: - jalapeno and cheese samosas - so nice with the sweet red sauce. - butter chicken UFO bread - yes, order one! - chicken vindaloo w/ rice - lamb jalfrezi w/ rice - Saag paneer - garlic naan And everything was fresh, hot and delicious. The owner & her husband were so nice and the staff was super polite and helpful. This is a great mom & pops shop that you really need to check out. You won't be disappointed!

Service: Our server was very friendly! He was checking in on all the tables (about 5) dining at the time. Food: The breakfast was really good! I wanted to try some traditional Desi breakfast since the owner, Jana, told us about it when we had dinner here. They also serve traditional breakfast pancakes that made Country Club Cafe so popular (former tenant and owners). We ordered a few items off the breakfast menu: 1) Classic Breakfast Croffle (croissant waffle) 2) nihari and naan (beef stew with naan bread) 3) Desi Omelette with paratha (paratha is similar to a well done crispy crepe) All of the breakfast items were really good! I love that they are setting themselves apart from other breakfast places near here. It will give people options if they want to venture out from traditional breakfast items and try something new!

We ordered the mixed meat platter, and it was amazing--fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. This is a family-owned business, and the owner is incredibly kind. He shared that he wants to serve home-cooked meals just like his family enjoys, and it truly feels that way. Everything is made fresh to order--we even saw the owner's wife cutting the meat by hand. My husband tried their chai and loved it, even without sugar. The owner also surprised me with a homemade mango shake, which was so delicious I couldn't stop drinking it! We'll definitely be coming back again and again. They made us feel like we're a part of their family.

Lahori food from Pakistan will have a different range of spices for new eaters. The dishes I sampled at Shan Grills were not hot spicy, more like aromatic. The kebabs are formed like meatballs at first, the flattened like a pattie, to be braised. Parathas can be stuffed with meats, or lentils, or veggies, and/ or cheeses. Bribed chicken wings, fried with rice flour, your choice 1 of 5 Lahoru sauces. Staff is very warm & welcoming. Order at the counter in the far back of the seating area.

Ambiance: The restaurant was pretty messy and disarray when I went. A man (worker) was sleeping in one of the booths with his shoes off on his break LOL. The chairs were not put back in place and some tables were uncleared. Food: The food was great. Be patient because they have a lot of take out orders (yay!) and they make everything to order. I ordered the biriyani chicken dum (bone in-chicken biriyani) and it was delicious! The chicken was so tender that it fell off the bones. I asked them for "medium" spicy and it was a good amount of spice for me. You can feel the kick, yet not need a full cup of water to save yourself from your last bite. I did not order their chai tea, but it seems like it is very popular here! I saw many groups of men come in and order the chai just to sit on the patio! They even ran out at one point! I'll have to try that next time I am here. Overall, the food was good. I'll order take out next time!

There's no need for me to really venture out anywhere else because they are always solid. Now...disclaimer: I am not an Indian food expert -- in fact I'm FARRR from it. I just like what I like. I like spice and flavor and this place has it. My husband and I pretty much order the white girl special -- butter chicken, vegetable samosas and garlic naan. We ain't ashamed to admit it. Sometimes we will spice it up and get chicken tikka masala instead of butter chicken (just kidding). We really just stick to the basics here and they have always been good!

They bring it with a little teapot and some sugar. Chili Chicken Momo: We've never had momo before, so we asked the server what he recommended, which was this one. We got it in medium spice which ended up being perfect, it erred close to an authentic Thai mild. The momo's flavor was fairly balanced, chili wasn't overpowering and had some suble sweetness. They were so soft and juicy despite being fried. Not too saucy either. The bell peppers, tomatoes, and onions on the side werent ignored; its not normal for us to finish side vegtables! When we come back, we plan to order two. The Curries: The chicken (mild) and butter chicken (medium) curries were both good, but the butter chicken really suited our tastes. Genuinely the best butter chicken we've ever had. I was spooning it like it was soup. Both curries' chicken were perfectly cooked, very moist. Appreciated the chicken to curry ratio as well. For the spice level, medium ended up being perfect again. Mild is best for those who don't like spicy food. The chicken curry was still good, the seasoning reminded me of my mother's vietnamese cooking. Garlic Naan: The garlic flavoring is subtle, which was a departure from what we're used to from the Indian restaurants we've been to (ex. So much garlic and butter that the nann can be eaten alone as an appetizer). The subtlety is preferred for us since it doesn't overtake the flavors of the curry. The bread was soft and came in four pieces. We came at a slow time, but the environment wasn't awkward and we had fun playing the little games provided. The server was very welcoming.
