    Love Boat For Two
    Melinda S.

We are officially obsessed!! Naturally, we went big and ordered The Love Boat for Two: 10 pieces of sushi, 12 pieces of sashimi, a tuna roll, salmon roll, a dragon roll and 2 miso soup -- basically, enough sushi to make any sushi lover in the room jealous. $70.00 + tip. Nice! But the real showstopper was how it arrived at our table!! The sushi was beautiful, placed in a giant peacock boat and it included bright colorful lights glowing through the ice. Not only was the presentation stunning, but every bite blew us away, generous portions, fresh, flavorful, and honestly worth every dollar. I have to mention its perfect for social media drama LoL. See my pics! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is magical -- elegant Japanese umbrellas hung from the ceiling amongst cherry blossoms, sexy, and somehow still cozy and casual. Fantastic service, no doubt. They didn't just create a restaurant; they created a mood .. the kind of place where you can unwind, indulge, and feel fancy without needing formal clothes (unless you want too-- no judgment). In short: we can't wait to go back. And next time, we're bringing friends -- or at least people willing to split the bill.

I went back again because it's that good. We ordered the Love Boat for 2 and it was incredible. It was a golden dragon boat loaded with 10 sushi, 12 sashimi, plus a tuna roll, salmon roll, and dragon roll. The presentation alone will stop you in your tracks. The fish was fresh and delicious, from buttery sashimi to perfectly made rolls. Every bite was worth it, and it's the kind of meal that makes you want to keep coming back.

Welcome to Wylie, Hachi!! My husband and I were excited that a new ramen and sushi restaurant was coming nearby. We to check it out on Friday around 4:45 PM. The place was still quiet, people were slowly trickling in for dinner. Food: I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen. The portion was pretty generous. The pork charshu was good. The broth was delicious. I could taste the fresh ginger in the broth. Interior: super cute and very clean! Parking: plenty of parking located right outside the restaurant Service: our server was great! He came by to check on us a few times.

Tried the spicy chicken ramen, we had the California roll. What I think is cool the kale noodle option for those trying to be mindful. The menu has a lot of items to review. The service was mediocre. The ambience was nice and inviting. We would we go back for the ramen as it is flavorful.

Came here at the recommendation of a friend. This was my first visit to a Ramen restaurant so I wasn't sure what to expect. Got the mega pork ramen bowl, spouse got fried rice. We split the shaggy doy sushi roll and (not pictured) also got an order of fried dumplings and a basic California roll. Please note that their California roll uses imitation crab instead of crab salad. The service was great, felt super attentive. The restaurant appears on the smaller side so if you eat here, expect a wait if you show up at prime time dinner hours. The only other comment is that it felt warm inside but that is subjective to the customer. Spent about $75 with tip included. Will be back.

Truly excellent ramen is rare in the North Dallas area - until now! Hachi Ramen & Sushi Bar might be a bit of a drive for some, but the quality and flavors of the food makes the journey well worth the effort. On my first visit - because I will be back soon - I had the Black Garlic Ramen and had to stop and savor that first taste because it was just soooo good. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the music is soft in the background and the server did a great job assisting us with our order. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Excellent first experience for lunch today. We had udon and a sushi/roll combo, both very tasty, big portion and reasonably priced. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

Great new place that is certainly worth trying! So far it's been busy at peak times, so we went for an early dinner and had no problem getting in and out in less than an hour. I ordered the spicy tonkatsu ramen, which was delicious! It had some spice but it's not overwhelming or too much. Portion size was good, and the toppings were fresh. The place is not too big but it's nicely decorated and feels comfortable. I'll be back to try the sushi and other items, but based on the ramen alone, definitely a new go-to spot.

Quick & Friendly Service. The Bao looked picture-perfect (but my wife started eating them before I could get a pic to post). The quality of the food all seemed good, but the tower was the smallest I've seen anywhere. The Ninja Roll was definitely worth trying. If you live in or near Inspiration, it is a very convenient location. The tables for 1-2 people a pretty small, but the booths work fine for 4 people. Everything is new and clean, and the place stays consistently packed during the weekend dinner time.

Absolutely love the salmon and octopus sashimi! (Not pictured here) but the calamari and edamame is also delicious. Ordered the tonkatsu ramen which was very flavorful. Great customer service :)

    Ticket to Heaven (to go)

This is literally just to warn about the ticket to heaven bites as I tried to already find a pic/review of them. I've had them at so many restaurants but these were the worst. (I should have known when they packaged them all face down) I can only guess they use canned tuna and add coloring to it because it doesn't look, taste, or smell like real tuna. At best it smells like hotdogs and looks like raw ground beef. Everything else food wise was fine, but the dish I was most excited about kinda ruined it.

    Sashimi

We just found our new favorite sushi spot! The ambiance is so lovely. It was a little risky to try a new place on my husband's birthday, but we're all so glad that we did. Our son loved the bao buns and we all thought the sashimi was delicious. So beautifully presented. I ordered the butterfly kiss and the volcano rolls without rice and they were amazing!

The noodles were delightfully chewy and the broth had a rich and full flavor without being overly fatty; I finished every drop of the garlicky goodness. The pork chashu was tender and the egg had a jammy orange yolk. The Birria ramen sounded interesting but a bit gimmicky. They also have chicken ramen for those who cannot appreciate the deliciousness that pork offers. The interior was cozy and upscale for a ramen spot and they have an outdoor patio which is nearly as large as the inside. The service was respectable but not noteworthy. Cons: A little pricey but I guess that's par for the course in Preston Hollow. $23 for my bowl of ramen after tax & tip. Moriya Shokuda is still my current favorite ramen spot but JINYA is very solid! 4.5 stars!

Parking wasn't bad either, there are lots and a garage nearby. However, the food itself fell flat for me. We ordered the crispy chicken happy hour special, which comes with a side salad. The chicken was on the dry side. Whenever I order Kaarage, it usually comes with a dipping sauce, but there was none here and that would've really helped out. The dressing on the side salad was way too acidic, making it hard to eat as well. In addition, we ordered the takoyaki as an appetizer. The takoyaki themselves were pretty solid, but the texture of the mayo was off. I'm not sure if they make their mayo in-house, but i noticed it was curdled. EDIT: after reading the restaurant's response, the texture I noticed was because it's an egg tartar sauce For the ramen, we ordered Jinya Tonkotsu Black and Creamy Veggie Ramen. Pricing is standard for DFW ramen restaurants, although *slightly* higher than some others (by like $1). The base ramen comes with a good variety of toppings! However, the ramen was just okay. The noodles are on the skinnier side, which I prefer thicker, chewier noodles. The pork chashu serving was small, and it tasted kind of old and wasn't that tender nor flavorful. The broth was just alright. I prefer soft-boiled, jammy ramen eggs, but the ajitama here was cooked longer than I would've liked. Ironically, I thought the veggie ramen was *much* better. The broth had better flavor, and they use different noodles than the tonkotsu, which were thicker (and exactly what I like!). Lastly, we had the matcha tiramisu for dessert. On a positive note, the matcha flavor was detectable. However, the tiramisu crème wasn't that fluffy, and there were noticeable amounts of undissolved sugar.

The inside is tiny and there isn't even a proper "waiting" area. I've also tried coming here before, and there was also a long wait. I'm glad I decided to stick it out this time. We ordered the Wagyu sushi, Yakitori, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and the Tomato Ramen. The Wagyu sushi is torched right in front of you! The Wagyu was incredibly tender and the sauce was delicious. My only *nitpicky* critique is the rice was ever so slightly too moist, but that didn't stop me from inhaling the sushi. Next, the Yakitori was phenomenal. I've never had such tender chicken in my life. There was a nice layer of delicious sauce coating the skewer. Again, just a really nitpicky feedback I have was that I wish the Yakitori had the tiniest bit more char to it, but nevertheless was an incredible bite, and I'd 100% order again in a heartbeat. Onto the ramen - easily hands down one of the best ramen I've had in DFW. The broth is flavorful, and I love the noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade from scratch, but they had the perfect thickness and chewiness. I also loved generous the portion of cha shu slices. Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn't come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I've been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Just be aware there may be a wait, and because they're so busy, you do have to proactively flag down staff. However, the staff are still really nice despite all the tasks they're juggling at once.

We got spicy gyoza to start, black pork tonkatsu w/ small curry rice bowl and a spicy dan dan. Gyoza came smothered in their sweet garlic chilli which defeats the purpose of a crispy gyoza skirt. It might be better to retain the crisp and crunch of the gyoza skin with the chilli sauce on the side? On to the ramen -- if you want to know if you're getting a quality bowl, look no further than the preparation of the egg. No respectable ramen shop would serve you well done boiled eggs which was the case here. The tonkatsu had heavy garlic flavor which is good but was unfortunately overshadowed by the abundance of burnt garlic bits. Not much to say about the Dan Dan. Bathroom clean but had a strong smelled. Would not go out of my way nor return with the amount of noodle options in dfw.

I also felt super full after only a few bites and took the rest home - well worth the price! My friend enjoyed his meal as well. The French fries needed a bit more salt, but only if you didn't use the dipping sauces. Which you would be crazy not to do so, as they are delicious.
