Ordered through their website. Arrived 15 minutes after the promised time. No patrons inside the restaurant. no other online orders ready. They do not have my order. I give them the order number. They can't find it. Then they find it with the confirmation number, and say it's $0 without any details on their side. The order was put in 30 minutes before the promised time and 10 minutes passed the time. And you do not call the customer to let them know there is an issue? This is basic customer service skills. I say I am hungry and would just like them to get started on the order and they can figure out the $ in the meanwhile. I even show her the transaction on my credit card. She's says it's "pending transaction" Every transaction is pending the first 2-3 days. She was about to charge me again and I tell her I do not want to be double charged. She goes in the back and figures it out. Does not apologize for the inconvenience. Does not try to make it right for us. Will not be eating here again. I am not surprised this place is empty on multiple occasions I have come. For the business owner, take this as feedback. Food is hit and miss read more

Sadly a few more visits have been really disappointing for a variety of reasons. Online orders with no estimate as to when would be ready. One took 50 minutes and most recent took longer than an hour (we only ordered two dishes each time). While we like the combo plates, it's only meat. It screams for sauces, rice, maybe some veggies for relief from the meat-fest. Had items missing from orders. Calls to the restaurant about any concerns were basically sidestepped and we felt disregarded. Definitely out of the rotation for any future considerations. read more

I got a takeout last Tuesday and got overcharged by about $12 on four items. The owners are not honest about their pricing and the poor employe is the one that has to take the brunt of the customer's complaint. I had ordered takeout for our trip back home to Florida: chicken biryani (fine, no issues), chapli kebab (taste ok, two very small patties provided), chicken karahai (taste ok, quantity too small) and beef Nihari (provided small amount ). They did pack the food nicely though. So, my two complaints are that the quantity, except for the biryani, were way smaller for the high price paid. Why is the restaurant being mean spirited with little amounts of food, especially in the month of Ramadan. Also, I was really annoyed and disappointed that the prices shown on their website are way lower than what I got charged when I went to pick up the food. I want the restaurant owners to reimburse me for $12 (we shall see how that goes). Not worth the trouble. read more

The kebabs were okay, I enjoyed the platter which serves all kinds of kebabs. The service was unfortunately bad - it took 45 minutes to get our food and we weren't even given water to drink. I waited a couple of days before writing this review to ensure I wasn't responding purely out of frustration. We recently moved to Dallas and have been exploring different restaurants. As a family on a budget, we try to find quality, affordable places that also provide a pleasant dining experience. We visited Lahori for a halwa puri breakfast, but unfortunately, the experience fell short from the moment we walked in. The staff member asked if we were doing the buffet. When we said no, he simply stared at us without offering any alternative or explanation. We had to ask ourselves if we could order the halwa puri nashta, and he responded by pointing to a table--apparently his way of seating us. We ordered halwa puri nashta, tea, and paya. Our order arrived missing one puri and the potatoes shown on their own menu. When we asked, we were told the potatoes were still being made. Twenty minutes later, we still hadn't received our tea, and when we inquired, the staff member just pointed toward the buffet--apparently we were expected to serve ourselves, though no one had mentioned that earlier. By that point, most of our meal was finished, and the extra puri and potatoes never arrived. We had two small children with us and had already been there for an hour and a half. At payment time, there was no apology, no acknowledgment of the missing items, and we were charged the full amount. If you cannot provide items as advertised, the right thing to do is either substitute, adjust the bill, or offer something to make up for it--none of which happened here. We left disappointed and won't be returning. I'm not even rating the food because the bigger issue is that we paid for items we never received. read more

This place is legit. They are functioning as a takeout only establishment at the moment so don't get any ideas about dining in. We were going to go as a large group and fortunately we called ahead and found out about their current status. And thus a smaller group was tasked with infiltrating and procuring the food for the party at large and so we went and ordered at the restauarant (take out) and it was a 45 minute wait. That's fair enough. We got the BBQ combo platter which has a good representation of their offerings, nihari, chicken biryani and tikka masala for the kids. The food came with plenty of naan and we added some garlic naan which I have to say is one of the best renditions of garlic naan in my memory. The Food was all spot on. There probably wasn't anything that was a weak spot. If there was a complaint it was that we wished they had given more of the Nihari gravy with the dish. The meat was plenty, just the gravy bit. Prices are very reasonable given the times as well. We will definitely be back. read more

This is really a place you can judge by its cover, where it's dimly lit interior, run down appearance and relatively long wait times provide all the clues you need to foresee the disappointingly average to mediocre quality. This appears to be a family run business, with the son working as the waiter. He's a little quiet, and could clearly use some help during the minimal dinner rush, but otherwise was quite cooperative. The floors and tables were notably sticky which always irks me. As mentioned, the food quality here is nothing to write home about, especially considering the unspoken 40 minutes it takes to arrive. It's not unusual for BBQ items when they're made fresh, but it's only courtesy to let customers know at the time of ordering. On that same thought, of the items we ordered from Chicken Biryani to Beef Kabobs, the only items that tasted fresh and warm was the Naan. Other items tasted reheated or a little undercooked, while the "classic" Masala had coagulated unevenly throughout the different items. There wasn't much unique or memorable flavor to go around throughout the 6-7 different items we ordered. The closest thing I could compare it to is a cold lunch consisting of take away from the night before. Whether it be for some off cosmic reason or not, I hadn't tried this little place for many years despite it being an establishment in the community. Now, I can somewhat understand why. Still, I'd say give it a try if you're out there and let them know to bring it steaming. read more

A solid value and good food! This is one of those shopping center restaurants that is easy to overlook. I've lived in the area for a while and only just now visited Lahori Kabab, and I wish that I ate here earlier. I've noticed that it seems to be a popular place, a consistent stream of customers coming and going. And now I know why, good prices and good food. I recommend calling in the order beforehand, ours took about 30 mins. On this first visit we ordered samosas, chicken karara, and chicken tikka masala. The samosas were alright, wouldn't say the flavors were anything standout but it was fried well. The sauce it came with was pretty watery / thin, though, probably one of the only criticisms of the entire meal. The chicken karara was great, so much chicken! I opened the box and was surprised at the large portion. This is probably what made the wait longer but it was worth it. It had a nice smoky flavor from the tandoor and was seasoned well. This was recommended by one of their regulars that was picking up a tray of this when I went to order. I would get it again for sure. The chicken tikka masala was fairly standard, which is a good thing in my book. A nice creamy sauce and tender chicken. Paired great with the rice and also with the chicken karara since that is dry. Ordered an extra naan just to soak up all the extra sauce. This is a good restaurant that deserves a look, but definitely call in your order if you don't want to wait. I get food from here every Saturday after soccer for post game team lunch and beer Yesterday I got food for home for the first time, an early thanksgiving dinner of sorts since the wife is working today thanksgiving day Got a boti wrap sandwich, 1 fish fry, 2 orders of beef kebab, chicken biryani and paneer butter masala All tasted awesome. Tasty place for Indian/Pakistani take out. I've been here a few times and usually get the: - chicken tikka masala - chicken dam ki biriyani - chicken karara - garlic naan The chicken karara definitely has some spice. I can't handle spicy food so I can only eat some of this dish. You can get rice or naan with the masala dish. The food is usually ready in ~20 minutes. There are some tables inside but it's not by any means fancy (not a bad thing) as it seems more like a take out restaurant. Free parking in the lot. Deducting one star because on multiple occasions they have forgotten items in my order. One time I was already home and they called to say they forgot to give me one dish. The other time they didn't give me sauce for the biriyani. I will continue to go back! read more

Picked up Lahori Kabab again today for my family. The chicken karahi and the yakhni pulao were to die for. I also ordered the halwa puree and Chaney- perfect. We also ordered the beef seekh kebab, which were fine, glad to have something that didn't have an overwhelming amount of spice. Very sweet owners, great place, keep it up. I'm just a goofy white guy who doesn't know a lot about Indian cuisine, but I'm doing my best. I read the reviews and had a good idea what to expect. It definitely is not fancy, but it has tables and chairs, so that's about all you should expect. I took the safe bet and ordered the chicken kabob (see the picture). It was super tasty and had a nice amount of spices without burning your face off. There were 3 large kabobs of chicken and it came with lettuce, tomato, sauce and your choice of naan bread or rice. I went with the naan and boy was it tasty! They are pretty stingy with the naan, but that's because they make it one piece at a time. It's not drenched in butter and boy is it good! The service was friendly, but they don't bend over backwards to make sure you're happy. Once I got my food, I felt like I was on my own until some other people came in and I was able to flag the waitress down. Also, I don't think they have an ice machine because there was no ice to be found! Just a pitcher of water and a can of soda (but that is pretty common for Indian restaurants). Over all, I was very pleased and will come back. They have a limited menu, but I am up for trying different dishes here. read more

This is a place for some real good Pakistani food. I have always ordered takeaway or delivery from this place and have never been disappointed. I will not mind less oil/fat in the food but that is a personal preference and not something that is an issue. This is not a fine dining place or a restaurant that has an extensive menu but what they serve is some real good food. read more

We ordered following for carry-out over the phone: Beef Seekh Kabab (came with lettuce, cilantro, jalapeños, lemon and mint chutney), Chicken Tikka Masala Nihari Naan They said food would be ready in ~25 minutes, but it took an additional 15 minutes. They no longer have dine-in and it's carry-out only. Beef Seekh Kababs were dry and chewy. It's as if if kababs the were microwaved. I didn't like it at all. Chicken Tikka Masala (CTM) tasted ok. The chicken in CTM is supposed to be grilled, but it was just pieces of cooked (not grilled) in the sauce. Wife and kids liked it but they don't know what authentic food is supposed to taste like so... :) My 10-year-old son and I are self-proclaimed Nihari experts. It was ok. Nothing phenomenal. Naans were fresh and had good flavor but they weren't something I'd care to buy again. All in all, food is of average quality, nothing impressive. read more

Decided to give this place a try despite the fact that it was super empty on a Friday evening. Later I found out that most people order takeout. I have gotta say the owner is super nice and friendly and the place is very clean. The owner came and greeted us personally and on his recommendation we order "Chicken Karara" which turned out to be amazing hands down. It wasn't dry as I'd expect any BBQ item to be and it wasn't overly spicy either. We also ordered the "Chicken Dum Biryani" which was just like mom makes it so I would say it's home-style. Usually restaurants that serve biryani put way too much oil and spicy in it - but their was flavorful and mildly spicy which I loved. Going to try their Halwa Puri soon and will update the review. Had to visit Plano again and went over to a friend's house for dinner. She had ordered from Lahori Kabab and kept insisting that the food was amazing because the owners were from Lahore. I wasn't too excited because that last Pakistani food I had in Plano was disgusting, from this Signature kebab place, but she was right. She had ordered the mixed kebab platter, which had beef and chicken seekh kebab, malai chicken tikka, and tandoori chicken. Everything was FRESH and tasty and the portions were huge. She also ordered the Goat Karahi which was delicious, and the naan's were fresh and warm. I didn't love the palak paneer though. If you want Pakistani food that is clean, fresh, tasty, and not drenched in masala, this is the place! read more

One of the 1st place we tried after moving to Dallas. Food was great and the spices were just right, even my kids loved it as they don't eat a lot of spicy food. Quantity of food was good also. 2 things we didn't like about it was the service and the wash room, if they can be more professional about the service and redo their wash rooms it can really attract more families and business. As in the hotel business u can tell by the kitchen and restrooms how the facility is performing as a whole. read more

So when we come to Dallas we always go to this place. The food and the service use to be good. This time food and the service had gone the drain. Saturday night we came and orders Samos and some Kabab. We were told told that they are out of them. No worries we orders other dishes. The taste of the dishes was bland at best. We had to keep calling the server to our table a few time to get more bread and drink. Then I asked for tea and they said "we only make tea in the morning so we do not have great tea" I have never heard this We decided to go back on Sunday to try the puri. If I could give it negative stars, this place would deserve it. First, let me start off that when I first walked in, I noticed that it was not very clean. I am not really that picky and if the food is good, some crumbs on tables and stuff on floor, isn't a huge deal. I ordered the beef bihari and I'm not sure what waa given to me. I order it all the time from almost every Pakistani place I go to. In all honesty it looked like the one piece of meat was mashed up with a fork to make it fill the side of the plate. WORST EVER. Lahori Kabab 08/06/2017 We decided to take my sister in law and her family to this joint for breakfast based on DHB and previous two visits (first with my parents and brother's family and second with three other families). Food - 1/5 We ordered four breakfast servings without nihari and chai. They brought water and food and here we went about our business after building up quality of food and service for this place. Halwa was ok as it didn't seem fresh despite the fact that we were there at noon and they open at 11am. I liked their chola and aalu dishes last time around (few months ago) but I have to say that aalu dish was bland without any flavor and cholas didn't have any kick to them. I first tried both separately and then mixed'em both hoping I would get a partnership of some flavors in my mouth. I was disappointed. I have to say that I'm very confident that their puris are fried rotis or tortillas as freshly made puris have that structure of pera that once fries stretches into layered texture. Oil was the winner today when it came to food. Facilities - 2.5/5 We entered at around noon and they had four tables occupied with one family, one party of two and one party of one while one family was settling in. For the most part this place is clean so I'll give it to them for cleanliness but it seemed like they were cutting back of electricity consumption due to the high temperature maintained within the restaurant. Restroom had hanger and toilet paper on top of toilet. They didn't even have itemized receipt. I mean REALLY!!! Service - 0/5 Anyone who knows me is aware how much emphasis I place on human interaction and quality of service that delivers a good customer experience. Not once were we asked if everything was ok or if we needed anything else including water, additional puris, halwa or chai. I went in with zero expectation of service and I came out with my expectations intact. Overall - 1.17/5 I will not go back based on this experience as it was down right disgusting. There have now been THREE occasions where we tried to dine in here and the management/servers tried to dissuade us from staying. They would say things like "our tandoors are all full and it will be over an hour wait"... meanwhile the restaurant was completely empty each time. As a business owner, it really baffles me that every time we go to this establishment they desperately don't want us to stay. But we persist nonetheless because the food really IS phenomenal. It's hands down the best kabobs and butter chicken you'll find in the area. You really have to commit to dining here though since they seem to not want more customers. read more

With one girl serving everyone and a manager type sitting behind the counter not showing any interest in the guests. Chicken seekh kababs were very good and so was the goat curry. I found the naans to be lacking but that's a personal preference. It's a smallish place so I imagine will get busy and crowded quicker. Chicken Dum Biryani is very tasty at this restaurant. It is not full of masala and is less spicy. The paaya and halwa they serve over the weekends are better than 7 spices and other nearby restaurants. The prices are reasonable and the staffs are friendly. read more
