Maannnn, if I tell you this place was delicious, you better believe me! A year ago, when I had Puerto Rican food for the first time, it wasn't the most flavorful. It wasn't something to remember. But this right here--I loved it! Everything was delicious! My friend is from PR and suggested most of the items we got, along with Gilbert, the waiter, in his family-owned business. I will definitely dine there again in the near future for the cod fritters, fried pork cubes and the housemade drinks!

This place is a must try whether you are looking for something different or if you are looking for authentic Puerto Rican food. The staff is very friendly it was our first time there the waiter helped us go over the menu. They have these juices very tasty. The chicken was very good and fresh. The place treats everyone as family be sure to stop by and try them out.

Since my visit to Puerto Rico I been itching for some native food! And let me tell you this place did not disappoint. They truly brought there delish dishes here to Dallas. How fortunate is the one that finds this gem and comes to experience real food from the Island. Everything was perfectly made so warm and tender and fresh. And the service was just as great! It gives me the feels that it's family own. Such love to their dishes and restaurant was spotless and clean. The server such great joy to be around and always checking in on us. see you next time for sure. Yummy! Oh and the music just made ya want to get on the floor and dance not loud at all just right. Great way to start the weekend.

I'd been wanting to try this place for a few months and finally made my way over to Wylie to visit the In-Sync wildlife sanctuary and one of the parks on Lake Lavon. On my way home I stopped by and could not have had a better experience. The staff was above and beyond friendly and helpful. I can't imagine they'd be any less so while busier than during my visit. My cod fritter and pizza empanada were delicious and the house made hot sauce took my shimp mofongo from sublime to devine. Ambiance is utilitarian, but the service and food make this out of the way hole in the wall worth the drive. For those of you in Wylie who haven't patronized them yet, shame on you.

Excellent, we drove 1 1/2 from Tyler, TX. My husband is Puerto Rican, he said that is the closest to home cooking that he's had. The service was excellent also, the young lady that took our order was very friendly, she made sure everything was taken care of. The restaurant was decorated Puerto Rican style and of the course the music. My husband enjoyed every minute, we're already planning to come back.

It was a cold, wintery Sunday when we walked into the restaurant. We felt sorry for the server. Super nice and helpfull guy. He was running the front by himself. We ordered three different dishes. I had the special Bisteak with yellow rice and both types of plantains. Boss lady and Jr boss lady had different pork dishes. The pork had great flavor but was very dry. We asked for some Pique, which is supposed to be vinegar based. This was not! It was so watered-down that it almost had some flavor. They don't have fountain drinks or iced tea!?!? Which is a mysterious quandary, considering we're in Texas. If they just bump it up a notch, they would be great. Unless we're already in the area, we won't be back.

Pork chops and rice and beans with salad. Very very good

I've been in Dallas for over a month and was looking for some Puerto Rican food. I came here and it was exactly like I wanted it to taste sooooo good!!! I'm not so homesick now!!

I was craving Cuban food from a recent trip to Key West, and this place came up in my search of the metroplex. I wish it were closer to Dallas, but the hike was worth it. The food was very good! Not as good as I'd had in Florida, but it quenched my craving. My steak sandwich was great, the bread was on point. The tostones were fresh and hot, but were missing salt. They need salt. However, that garlic dipping sauce was EVERYTHING. Service was great and I felt like I'd walked into someone's house - the vibe was very family-centric. And when the young guy called me Sweetheart, I knew right then my food would be great. lol Y'all check them out!

Just wow! My wife and I tried for the first time this morning. We will defiantly be back. We tried the Carne Frita con Arroz and Bistec Encebollado con Arroz. We also tried both types of plantains. We shared both dishes. Our favorite was the Bistec and the fried plantains, but it was close. It's not about the fact it's pork or beef it was the interesting flavors and the way they were prepared! We are great fans of independent family restaurants. Very good and we will be back!

It hurts us to see other boricuas serving food that do not have the real Puertorican flavors. If your audience/clientele is not Puertoricans then we guess you're making them happy. Boricuas? Nope! Not sure if they don't know how to cook or don't have good recipes or just don't know how to season boricua style. We had a Tripleta & an empanadilla de carne (beef "empanada"). The Tripleta's meat had no flavor what so ever, and tons and tons of Mayo ketchup. The pernil needs TONS of more seasoning and they need to tone down the Mayo ketchup amount to about 5 notches... Then the empanadilla, the dough you can tell it was too dry so it was not smooth, or it had been frozen to death. Then the beef inside was so incredibly dry that couldn't swallow it without drinking tons of fluids and didn't have any flavor either. And on top of that, it was fried like 10 times longer than what should have been cause it was so hard and crispy it was not even funny. You can do better friend; Eddie needs to know better!!! Research genuine Puertorican recipes or call any boricua friends & learn from them! Best of luck!

I was extremely hungry and always wanted to try Puerto Rican food, it's hard to find a restaurant that only serves Puerto Rican food! Anyway I tried several items suggested by the gentlemen and his wife who own the truck and met their Fabulous son as well! Everything I got excellent! The meat was juicy and tender and so flavorful! This family is passionate about what they do and they "put their whole foot down n this food"! Please try this truck and don't read negative postings make your own opinion and I bet you will not be disappointed! I continue to frequent this food truck!

I got a cubano, and it was a large portion that I was able to take home part of for another meal. I think the pickles could've been more pickle and less cucumber taste, but I loved the mustard and overall it was a fantastic sandwich. The guy who served us was kind and even made sure our drinks were cool for us. The less good: it's a bit of a run down vibe inside, and there were leaks and AC failings inside when we were there. The menu is a bit hard to discern if you're unfamiliar and only available on QR codes at the tables. My bf got a pork dish and mentioned that it was all kind of one note. His dish was more expensive than my sandwich by several dollars and you can see from my picture that he got much less food. Overall, I left feeling kind of wishy washy about this place. Perhaps it would be a great place to order unique delivery from rather than dining in, and I can appreciate the specialty food options overall.
