We live nearly two hours away, but cannot wait to come back. The restaurant was comfortable, if a little snug, but we had plenty of room. I have a very low tolerance for extreme spiciness, but I may try the next step up the spice latter the next time. Stopped in here on a Friday night. Got Seated right away. Took the waitress a while to greet us and then after ordering a drink at the bar, waited for about 15 minutes for our beer. The food was excellent. I ordered the chicken Kadai with medium spice. The dish had good flavors and the sauce Was just the right spiciness. All the naan was good and paired well with the dish. There were 4 different types of bread included in the basket. It was nice to taste all of them, as you can order them a la carte. My fiancée and I came here on a weeknight for a casual dinner. The service was decent, and the food itself was actually very good. However, when we got the bill, we were shocked to see that we had been charged nearly $20 just for soda. We both ordered Diet Cokes and each had two throughout the meal. Being charged per drink for soda to the point that four Diet Cokes totaled almost $20 is honestly ridiculous, especially considering we were never told refills were charged separately. Like 99% of restaurants, we assumed soda refills were free. Our order was very simple: a small appetizer, naan, two entrées, and four Diet Cokes (one each before the entrée with our appetizer and one each during the meal), yet the total came to $79 before tip. For what you're actually getting, the pricing feels extremely unreasonable. The food may be good, but it's not good enough to justify prices like that. Our first go round, service was a bit slow as they quickly became overwhelmed with heavy crowds. Rightsizing the staff to meet demand is sure to help. Food is delicious. Fantastic naan, one of the best Tikka Masala's that I have had. The deal is the buffet. Cute little place but the service was an absolute miss. We waited at least 15 minutes to even be waited on (at the bar). I watched him pour the grey goose and it was just a bit over half a shot (former bartender I know my counts). The Tikka Masala was flavorful and really good. A bit on the sweet side but still good. This is the best place to open in Pickerington in the last 5 years. We ordered take out- chicken tikamasala, lamb saag, and tandoori chicken breast. We got home And they forgot the lamb saag!! I called and let them know about it, and guess what... they were apologetic and quickly remade the entree AND delivered to my house!!!! Within about 30 minutes. We've been here four times since they opened. I've always started with the spicy gobi manchurian (which is absolutely delicious), but mixed my entree orders each time. Everything has been excellent. Good portions too. My wife is kind of a picky eater, she had Indian food maybe a time or two in the 25years we've been together. She now craves Indian Spice after one dinner with me. We've lived in Pickerington 15years but will be moving soon...its crazy but this restaurant ( I've been to four times ) is THE ONLY thing in town I will really miss once we move away. read more

I'm always on the lookout for good Indian food. and Indian Spice is a winner. There's been a boom in recent years of Indian food in the Reynoldsburg/Pickerington area, which I've been happy to take advantage of. I ordered Chicken Malabar and Lamb Biryani, with Kashmiri naan (which is basically dessert to me - stuffed with raisins and nuts, maybe coconut too?). All were excellent. One of my issues with many Indian restaurants' approach to biryani is a tendency to emphasize the volume of rice in proportion to the protein, but that wasn't a problem here. I like the looks of the rest of their menu, too (uncommon offerings like goat sukha) so I definitely need to make a repeat visit to do a deeper dive. read more

I've been hearing a lot of great things about Indian Spice so I was very excited to get takeout for my parents and I to try. Needless to say we were not disappointed at all! We ordered the Chicken Kadai, Chicken Tikka Masala (my favorite), and the Lamb Vindaloo plus some naan bread. All the curries we ordered medium spice. I love a spicy and sour vindaloo so I may want to try it as spicy next time. Everything was so flavorful and we enjoyed every bite. Although I haven't dined in, the restaurant was very nice inside and lively with all the customers there for the lunch buffet. I'd be interested to dine in sometime and capture pictures of the curry in dishes! My parents and I are so happy that there is a great curry spot in Pickerington so that we don't have to drive far now! This is one of the best meals that we've had, not just in Columbus, but anywhere! We had heard that this place was around, but we weren't exactly sure where. We were bemused to find this restaurant in a location that has had many tenants over the years, but we were blown away at the quality of this place! When we entered, we were asked whether we wanted the buffet or main menu. We didn't even know that the buffet was an option. Not only that, they invited us to look over their buffet before we decided! How cool is that? We opted for the main menu just to get a good idea of what was available. We were very impressed at just the quality of the menu! The menu was very descriptive and easy to read! So many options to choose from too! We opted to try the samosas, bread basket, and a chicken curry and goat kadai. We ended up getting the carrot pudding for dessert. Every single item we had was absolutely PHENOMENAL! We have eaten at Chef Maneet Chauhan's restaurant, and this restaurant could have been run by one of her sous chefs! The staff here is attentive, kind, and warm! We even felt comfortable enough to ask them how to properly eat Indian cuisine! The restaurant is clean, and the professionalism by everyone was astounding! We were even quite pleased by the quality of the take home containers when we couldn't finish the amazing food! If there was one critique that I'd give, is that the music was a bit loud for my liking, and it somewhat adds a bit of unnecessary noise to the ambiance here. We will definitely be back here, and we hope that this restaurant is here to stay! What a revelation this place was! The temperature of the food is steaming hot along with the right level of spicey hot for individual pallets. We visited during a weekday lunch, and it wasn't busy. The vibe was pleasant, and the host was friendly. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and while the taste was good, it wasn't amazing--but we'll definitely return to explore more of the menu. Portion sizes felt more like a high-end restaurant, which worked for us since we're not big eaters. The bar looked great, though we opted for a table. The interior design and decor were impressive, adding to the experience. This seems like a must-try spot, and we're curious to see how it holds up on a second visit.
