I ate here recently for the very first time. My dining experience and food was very good. The service was great and my lamb korma very very tasty. I guess if I had to be picky about anything, I would say there could have been a little bit more rice served with The lamb korma. There were numerous options on the menu that my daughter and I wished to sample, so we ordered the entire selection! Every dish was exceptional. It makes zero sense how central Illinois has a restaurant where I've eaten some of the most authentic Indian/Indo-Chinese cuisine I've ever had in my life, but that's the reality I am faced with. Despite being short staffed, the food still manages to come out in a timely manner and extremely delicious. The goat kourma I ordered was one of the best I've ever eaten with the perfect amount of flavor and heat. The only bummer is the buffet is indefinitely out of commission, an unfortunate casualty of the pandemic, but hopefully, it will be restored in time. Came in for dinner with a friend and it was both of our first times here (my friends first time eating Indian). This place is the new Haldi, which was located next door. We arrived and the place about 6:15, just after they opened and were seated promptly by the owner. The place is very spacious and there is also a large party room. My friend ordered the Indo-Chinese fried rice and loved it. The amount and quality were excellent and she was very happy. She also got an order of the garlic naan, which was excellent. I ordered the butter chicken, which was nice with a little level of heat. The quality of the chicken was good too along with the quantity. The service was terrible originally, however our second waitress was excellent. Overall, things were okay but the service could be better. read more

This is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Peoria right now. It is a consistent favorite for me and my husband. I'd heard that Indian Tadka had resumed its Sunday Buffet, so I thought I would try it. The spice level was perfect. The restaurant was adequately staffed and attentive to the needs of customers. The buffet offers a limited number of selections, but everything was well prepared. The restaurant was pretty busy at 1 pm, but I was promptly seated. The final price was around $25.00. read more

A few oddities like room temperature bottled water instead of refillable ice water in a glass and a can of soda without ice or a glass. But that didn't impact the overall experience.
