Around 9:00 pm on a Monday, my water heater catastrophically failed (major leaking out of the pressure relief valve pipe and lots of rumbling/popping noises). I feared the unit was about to explode, so I called IWV Plumbing, which has a 24 hour on-call technician. I reached somebody immediately, and the technician was at my house within 15 minutes. The technician was very friendly and verified that my water heater was properly shut down. He also capped the water lines so I could turn the main water back on to the house. Based on the age of my water heater, we decided it was best to replace the unit, and the technician was able to get me on the schedule the very next day. Two different technicians (Felipe and Andrew) arrived promptly at 2:30 pm that Tuesday to remove my existing water heater and replace it with a brand new unit. They were both very professional and friendly. The installation was quick and efficient, and I had a fully functioning new water heater a few hours later. I am highly impressed that IWV Plumbing was able to install a brand new water heater less that 24 hours after my original unit failed. Additionally, the new water heater installation (including haul away and coding upgrades) was the cheapest in town and came with a 10% Military Discount off the labor. It also came with a 2 year labor warranty and a 6 year unit warranty. The cost of the emergency after-hours call was very reasonable as well. FANASTIC !!! Yesterday we ordered a new dishwasher from Homedepot and were informed that we needed an "air gap" installed for the dishwasher. We have a stainless steel kitchen sink which is a thin sheet of metal. First I called Cardinal Plumbing to schedule the installation. The girl on the phone told me that I would have to put the hole in the sink before they would install the air gap kit which is a $15 part at Home Depot. I told them then I don't need you. If I Cardinal is unable to do simple and easy jobs; then how can I trust them to do complicated and difficult jobs. I can no longer recommend Cardinal though they have done several repairs on my home. I called IWVP and the young lady set up the appointment for the very next morning within less than 24 hours. The gentlemen showed up this morning, drilled the hole and were done in about half an hour. They are very polite, friendly, professional and very competent. I needed two grab bars installed in my shower. I had bought two 9 inch bars from Home Depot for approximately $35. He suggested longer ones would be better. And he could get them at the same price I paid. I was thrilled that he didn't just install what I had but thought of what would be best for safety. He and his partner also replaced a leaking toilet and a very loose shower faucet. All was done at a reasonable cost and in a timely manner. I have called Indian Wells Valley Plumbing for several different issues in the past couple of weeks. First was for pipes that exploded in the wall of my master bathroom shower. Victor came out on a Friday night and quickly repaired the issue. When he was at my home for that problem, I asked him about fixing a leak under the kitchen sink. Victor returned the next day and repaired the problem under the sink quickly and did a great job. The next and biggest issue is that I have damage to my house utility room, hallway and the master bathroom. I have been dealing with my home owners insurance regarding those issues. Victor again came out and discovered that the water heater was the culprit for the damage to my flooring and walls. He replaced the water heater quickly and efficiently. Felipe came out to adjust the temperature on the water heater. I have really been pleased with the employees who came to work in my house for the competence and professionalism. I have used other plumbers in the past in Ridgecrest and have not been happy. I will never use another plumber for water problems. They came on time and did all the work we wanted. They fixed our two sinks and put in a plug in the bathtub. It was a hot day and we didn't have any air conditioning but Edgar did an excellent job. I went outside to check out the yard after basically 3 days of on and off rain. I noticed a "puddle" by my Mastercool (ground unit), and went to the pipes leading to the cooler and heard a gurgling sound, but couldn't see where the water was coming from. Fearing a broken pipe where I could not see, I called around to make an appointment. IWV Plumbing made an appointment for Tuesday, but later called and said they could come over................ and they did. Fixed a valve issue on the spot, no pipe damage thank goodness!!
