He needed to have…read morehis two bottom premolars out because they were baby teeth without adult teeth underneath, with roots too shallow to move. Well, that's what we heard two years ago anyway. I hated the idea of removing two teeth just to put posts and crowns in a teenager's mouth. So I let it go (hoping for a better idea?). But it was now past time for braces,so I bit the bullet--no pun intended. We made an appointment and got in within a couple of weeks. Their office has a good COVID protocol that allows very few people in at one time. We were ushered back to the exam room and went through a new patient questionnaire as well as an interview of sorts, and then the doctor came in to explain the procedure and answer any questions. The teeth had already started to fuse to his jaw bone a bit, making extraction more difficult and time consuming. My son was awake for the procedure and did very well, this for a kiddo with a relatively low pain threshold. I was called back into the room afterwards and again the doctor explained all that happened. We were given post-op instructions and checked out. The staff were all extremely courteous and helpful. Recovery went remarkably well. In fact, I was surprised just how quick it was. My son went from soft food back to his regular diet in just a couple days and didn't complain once of pain. I hope we don't need their services again. But if we ever do need oral surgery in the future, I would definitely go back.

The office operates under a policy that requires insurance eligibility to be confirmed before any dental work can be performed. I found it perplexing that, while she was supposed to be verifying my eligibility, she spent time chatting with a coworker and eating her lunch at the window. During my visit, I observed two other patients arriving and leaving before I was seen, which led me to believe they had simpler insurance situations. Eventually, after being taken back for X-rays, the dentist kindly addressed my dental issue. However, he was unable to fix my tooth because the front office staff had not verified that my insurance would cover the necessary procedure of gluing my tooth back into place. This experience made it clear that the person at the front desk played a crucial role; without her completing the eligibility verification, the dentist could not proceed with any treatment. Moreover, I noted the overall atmosphere of the office, which fell short of my expectations. With an empty waiting room when I arrived, I was surprised by the receptionist's focus on personal conversations rather than patient care. After waiting 30 minutes, I noticed she was still eating lunch, further adding to my frustration as the only patient present. Beyond staff interactions, the waiting room itself contributed to my unease. The decor was uninviting, featuring cheap rubber plants and an overall unfriendly ambiance, which heightened my anxiety about the dental visit. Given the revenue typically generated by dental practices, I believe the environment could greatly benefit from improvements--such as incorporating real plants and more aesthetically pleasing art--to create a more welcoming space. Ultimately, I rated this experience four stars due to the professionalism and kindness displayed by Dr. Duffy and April. Without their exceptional assistance, my experience might have warranted only a one-star rating. However, the delays caused by front office inefficiencies were significant and warrant attention for better patient care in the future. I thought they were lying and just inflating the number like a dental practice that scams people for money. Well I think they are a dental practice that scams people because I went to see a dentist my friend recommended and turns out I only have four. Yes I still have cavities and that's not good but Indiana Emergency Dental tripled the amount of cavities I had. Not sure if they thought they were being nice to "get it out of the way before it's worse" but in my mind there is nothing nice about inflating the number of cavities I have just so you can walk away with a big pay check. On top of this I went to School with the receptionist and how cool is it to walk out of the office saying hey I remember you and now you know I have 12 cavities when it is actually four. The only reason I would ever come back to this god forsaken place is to tell that person that I didn't have 12 cavities, just four. So I do not recommend coming here. Big probability you're going to pay for a procedure you don't even need. But hey it's 2026 so if you're down to get scammed because you think it's fun that's your choice and it is definitely Indiana Emergency Dentals choice as well! Tata!

I went for an initial consultation where I was charged close to $200 to speak with the Dr for approximately 5 minutes. I felt that this was a bit exorbitant but continued with the process as I trust my regular Dr's opinion. I went back about a month later, ready to pay roughly $700 for a process that they said should take about 30 minutes, again, feeling that this was a bit pricey, but had cash, credit card & a check in hand ready for which ever payment method they preferred. I was asked to pay the entire amount the moment I checked in. I explained that I would be happy to pay when services were rendered but that I don't pre-pay for services. They refused to perform the services at this point, and so I left. I took two days off from work for these two trips. I paid the ridiculous consultation fee. I live about an hour away from this business and so also lost 4 hours in driving time, not to mention the gas money. I am extremely disappointed in this businesses practices. They tried to tell me that I signed something during the consultation that said that they ask for pre-payments for these procedures. I have absolutely no recollection of signing anything or hearing anything like this. I was not asked to pre-pay for the consultation, I paid as soon as it was over before exiting the building. If I had known that this is how they run their business, I would have never even called them. I am not aware of any other dental businesses that operates in this manner. I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. I would have given them 0 stars if it was an option.

Put me under, yanked out the teeth, barely charged me anything to do it, gave me pain killers that kill pain, and the surgeon even called me a few hours later to check up on me. Fear not.
