Came in and found a couple of bikes I was interested in. Spoke very briefly with a salesperson... let's call him Bob. Bob came up and was inquisitive like most salesmen. We talked bikes for a bit, I looked at the price ($29k-$33k for last years RoadGlide). What Bob doesn't know, is I have a friend who works in the corporate office for H-D and I know what she can get the bike for. That being said, I asked Bob to get me a price close to what the dealer purchased the bike for. Needless to say, Bob didn't even come close. Just FYI.... The markup on H-D products is astronomical! A $33k bike selling on the showroom floor is purchased for approximately $20-$22k, then delivery/freight cost, which the dealer passes onto the consumer. Anyway.... Bob lost out on a sale, a decent commission and any incentives that H-D provides to sell their product. And you ask... why two stars then?? Well... Bob would have only got one star, but since I dropped a deuce in their bathroom for free, and it was decently clean.... I gave Bob a second star. Better luck next time Bob!!! read more

I had a great time here. I stopped in on a trip I took to the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee and then to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Along the way I stopped at 22 Harley Davidson Dealerships. This particular dealership is one I highly recommend stopping at simply based off their customer service. I called them the day before I would be heading through their area because I knew I'd be passing them before they were open and I wanted to pickup a poker chip. The woman on the phone helped me out and left me a chip in the mailbox! SCORE. If I pass through this area again I will be stopping in and hopefully get to meet the woman who left me the chip for my collection. Her attitude reinforces the Harley Davidson family mindset. read more

My boyfriend lives ALL the way in WESTFIELD and will ONLY come to this dealership to get his Harley serviced because the dealership near him are horrible with customer service. Great place but not much used inventory. Went in looking for a cheaper bike sense I hadn't had one in a few years didn't want to jump onto something to expensive. They keep there used bike hidden in the back which I didn't like and not only that nobody could find a sales rep to show us them. Eventually asked a parts guy if he could help, after him also not having any luck finding a sales rep he took us back to look himself which was nice! Overall tho the place was really nice read more

I bought my first bike at Southside HD. I loved it when I seen it and they made a great deal on it and have always taken great care of me. Service department is awesome as well. That was in 2007 and still going there! Plus I recently learned my local Harley Davidson shop will not give you your money back if you return something, which does not make sense, you get a store credit. I have bought 2 different motorcycles from this dealership...loved both bikes....In 2015 i bought a streetglide cvo..a tour pack to match and the EXTENDED WARRANTY... At the finance table i was told the warranty i purchased would cover everything for the extra 5 years.by 2 different people ....I call 2 weeks ago..talk to the service department and low and behold....my issue is not covered. SHOCKER... My headlight fogs up on the inside once the bike is running for just a few minutes...now these are sealed from the factory...and the only way moisture could get in....is if the seal is broke is some way...so if the seal is broke..sounds to me like a factory DEFECT!!!! But again why would it cover a factory defect.....Thanks for the runaround..will NOT be replacing it with a HD headlight. I will start buying my parts from an aftermarket company that will stand behind their products read more

I have been going to this store for over 8 years! No one ever knew me by name until I purchased my first bike In April of this year. After you spend a crap ton of money in one sitting then they remember you every time you come in . I have been riding for 6 months now and I recently signed up for a new riders course to learn how to do some of the things I was not so great at so I could get my endorsement. It was the most awful experience ever!! One of the coaches I had his name was Shug, he was great he worked with me and I nailed one of the courses I was afraid of. The other coach Steve Lacey is awful he has sever anger issues now keep in mind I paid $300 dollars to be taught and I was yelled at like a child, I was cursed at and was put down. He is not professional in anyway! I was what they call counseled out because I had a bad day, and I wasn't picking up on the figure 8 as fast as he wanted me to and they were all in a hurry to end the day. He told me I was too emotional and I should have stayed home! Well I was doing my best and my bad day got worse because of the way he spoke to me.I contacted Kathy schulteti via email to discuss the issue, she was not very professional either, I never got an I'm sorry this happened to you, nothing she sent one email stating she was going to talk to the riding academy manager and that was it. I finally received my money back but the professionalism was less than. I was not treated like a customer I was treated like crap! I will not go back here ever! I will spend my money elsewhere! They treat you like family until something bad happens on their part and then you are no one. They do not want to take responsibility for anything. I was a new rider, I had some experience but everyone in the class had way more than I did. They don't work with you one on one they want you to be on the same level as everyone else. So if you are a new rider and you want to take this class make sure you find out who he coaches are and you ask to be in a class with actual new riders so you get the help that you need. Last but not least some of the sales people are ridiculous ! Aaron Fleming is one , when I purchased my bike I was in there a few days before to pick out one, Samantha Conway was the lady I spoke with she got a bunch of info for me and did all the work, when I came back in to purchase the bike Aaron was there to approach us, first he didn't care al all what bike I actually wanted. He was trying to push me into buying new, he then got pissy because he had to share the commission with Sam who was my original sales person. She was awesome and the only reason I came back after that. This place is full of fake people who do not care about customers. They care about their bottom dollar. I wash my hands of this place. Just be careful who smiles in your face, because a friendly face isn't always friendly. read more

I'm not a badass with a pony tail so I don't ride a Harley. I rode a Honda scooter when I was 14, but that was as close as I came to becoming a one percenter. I do live near here, however, and I appreciate the events they put on, like the recent visit by several local food trucks, as well as the rides they organize for charity. Went in looking to buy a new Harley motorcycle, paying cash, had a hard time finding a sale rep to show me what they had available, seemed like they must get 100 tire kickers to every 1 buyer as the sales rep we finally found wasn't too enthusiastic about taking his time to show me bikes, guess it's the way I look, but heck, I look like a biker, guess that look means no money, versus the look of many Harley buyers who are now days retired executives and white collar worker types, ha. But still I told them I was a cash buyer, maybe they didn't believe me, ha! Got the reps card and left, did email him and about 1 month later he finally emailed me back asking if I was still looking for a bike, well, by then I already bought one somewhere else. But I did go to this location and buy some Harley supplies as needed, just because it's close to me and I shop in that area. Prices for service are very high dealership prices, and anything that says Harley on it is expensive. The place had many bikes new and used in stock and was clean, organized and well kept. Still not a fan. I had a major service issue many years ago on a visit for service on my Sportster. Very rude service writer. I have had next to no issues with the parts staff at this location. Current service writer, Larry, was absolutely wonderful. He got me in within my time frame. Noted on order that I was going to be waiting for my bike. They got it done in about 3 hours, usually takes 4. Sales folks up front in apparel are great, just not a fan of what is offered. I like simple things, like gloves, to stay simple. Pick your own line of products, don't let Harley tell you what you can have. Tell them your customers want a certain item and insist they place it for sale. read more

First issue is that I dont even live on this side of town. I live 5 miles from Indy West Harley Davidson I only brought it to southside because I heard they are the best in the area. Boy was I wrong. Dropped my bike off on June 4th, parts were not even ordered until June 16th. Finally after numerous phone calls weekly they put my bike in the book to be repaired on July 19th. Keep in mind 98% body. Called on the 18th to make sure things were still on schedule they said yes. Called the next day to find out that they had not even started on my bike at 2pm. They were going to " try and get started on it and finsih on the 20th". Called on the 20th at 1130 and got told that the person who was supposed to repair my bike called in and they wouldnt be working on my bike AGAIN, until the next day. I dont see how one of there emoyees calling off work has anything to do with me but apparently it does. Fed up at this point i called back and spoke to the General manager Kathy. Told her the situation, in which she replied let me look into this and I or sam will call you back. So here i am 5 hours later never got a phone call. And now Kathy is not in the office. First and last time for me at Southaide Harley thats for sure. read more
