Awesome food. The town seems to be losing restaurants. A true hidden gem. Be sure to call ahead as seating is limited!

I cannot recommend Bill and crew highly enough. First of all, it's very difficult to find a…read morecontractor in the Oakhurst/Bass Lake area that actually shows up when they say they will, hits their project milestones, and communicates well. Few contractors do one or two of those things well, yet Woodworks checks every box! I hired them for a pretty big decking project. It included doubling the size of the bigger deck, adding a spa to my deck, and replacing another smaller deck. We used redwood but not just any redwood. Since the local redwood was a bit skinny, Bill went to the Northern CA coast to get some amazing wood. He used it to cover the entire large deck. To accommodate the new spa, his crew had to bust up a huge granite rock and level out the ground. Then they poured the concrete foundation. Then coordinated a crane to pick the new spa up on my driveway and somehow get it placed 75ft up a steep grade on the side of a hill, navigating over 100ft tall cedars....it was crazy! Once it was set, he also coordinated with spa company to set the spa up. After it was set up, he built the deck around the spa. Once the bigger deck was done, he replaced the supports and rebuilt the framework of the smaller deck. The results are amazing (look at the pics). Equally as impressive, he came in on budget AND hit his timeframe. Why mess around with other contractors when you can hire Woodworks?

The project lasted about five months, and since we were living in the home the whole time, we were a little nervous about how disruptive it might be. J & J went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Every single day, construction debris was picked up, and the crew was extremely conscientious about keeping the space as livable as possible. Communication was outstanding from start to finish. Our contract and timeline were clear, and we received daily or weekly text updates letting us know exactly what was planned for the days ahead. Any question or concern we had--no matter how small--was met with a quick and thoughtful response. It was also obvious that J & J holds their subcontractors to very high standards. Every trade that came through delivered work that met J & J's quality expectations. Before choosing J & J, we met with several other well‑known residential construction companies in the area. Looking back, choosing J & J was absolutely the right decision. They earned our respect and admiration through their professionalism, craftsmanship, and genuine care for both the project and our family's comfort. We highly recommend J & J Quality Construction for any project--from a remodel to a home expansion. You will not be disappointed.

We were even able to sit with and adjust the electronic designs in their studio. They subcontracted with a painter who did great work and was really easy to work with. The guys from J&J were responsive and did things when they said they would. We were not super picky, but when we asked them to move a knob or drill an additional hole, they were happy to do it. We are very happy with their work and will go with them next time we want to get something done.

Finding a good contractor is HARD. After several contractors came out to give me quotes, some were…read morecrazy expensive, some never sent back the quote and were impossible to get in touch with, but Italish was timely, and very reasonable, which I felt was a great start to my kitchen remodel. All good remodel projects have roadblocks and complications. Great projects have contractors that are willing to work with you to get through those issues. From pandemic delays in appliance delivery to discovering the cabinets I was trying to preserve weren't salvageable, Rodney and his team were with me every step of the way. Rodney, Shane, and Corey were all professional, considerate, and very pleasurable to work with. They made sure I was comfortable and happy with everything along the way and were attentive to all my requests. They kept the work environment cleaned up every day and I always felt comfortable having them in my home. I started the project and shortly after demo realized my cabinets were not in a condition we could keep and I needed all new cabinets. While this can be a shock to any unplanned cost, Rodney gave me options and was patient with me as I made the decision on which route to take. We needed to get power under the floor through the concrete slab - and the team put on their creative hats and worked with me to get what we needed without needing to tear up my newer floor, I was so happy! My project was largely done minus the appliance delivery and install. Rodney let me know it was no problem, and that they would come back and install as soon as they were delivered. Five months later when they finally arrived, he sent his crew out to get things done! Italish prides themselves on getting a job done right, and they live up to every ounce of that promise. The customer service was top notch! If I have any future project needs, I would definitely work with Italish again!

Never got back to me, never gave me a quote, never even called to at least say they couldn't or did not want to take us on as a client. I assume because our kitchen is small maybe it wasn't lucrative enough for them. Or maybe they were just too busy to help us. But again I don't know I never got the estimate nor a response back even though I called multiple times. Seems unprofessional to just completely ignore someone .

I had asked him to look at an old house for a series of fixes it needed with floors, bathroom walls, exterior paint, and a bunch of other minor fixes; to get pricing and he was able to walk through and give us a lot of advice and options for what we could do along with price points that would work for us. The shower backs to my hall wood floor....within a short time I noticed bumbles appearing in my wood floor and I contacted the floor person.....bumbles in the wood is water damage!! By means of attempting several solutions to no avail, we have to totally tear down and redo after only 3 1/2 yrs. We realized the leaking has to be an issue under the floor......The pan was put in wrong, so it drained out around it in one of the corners! The Cloud Nine owner, Gilbert, refused to assist when I wanted to find out who installed the glass doors as we were trying to attempt to have more reap holes drilled thinking that might help drainage! His response, was, it's no longer under warranty! You don't care about warranty when your trying to fix a leaking problem damaging your floor. The attitude of the owner was uncooperative. Their Installation was not done correctly and has had cost & headaches to try to fix! No stars from my experience with Cloud Nine Construction!
