I had mixed feelings on my rating. I chose this location because it was close to my destination. From the start, booking was simple and I did use a third-party. However, the notifications and instructions and reminders were fantastic! When I called the Inn, I spoke to a live person right away, and they were friendly and helpful. Here is where they get a full star. I arrived pretty late on my first day, however, because of the great instructions, I know exactly where to park. I know exactly how to get into my room. Just a couple of minor things about the room, and I knew this in advance again because of the emails. There are no microwave or refrigerator for your convenience. There is an additional fee to use their community kitchen. The walls are extremely thin, you hear EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING! The bed is a bunkbed. Unfortunately, my bedding was so dirty that they stink like a trash can. Interesting enough, I was watching the men clean up after I left, and they only took the sheets to wash, but not the top bedding and I think that's what smells pretty bad. I'm assuming because the top bedding is too thick to put in their onsite washers. Whatever the case is, it was terrible for two nights. Another part is that if you want to watch the TV, you have to keep the lights on because somehow the electric outlet is connected so that was frustrating. I will say that there were plenty of towels and shower hygiene available. The air conditioning unit and heater came with instructions, but somehow I still was not able to get it to work properly. It was pretty chilly at night. There are also not a lot of outlets available for your use. The room is very small so if you are planning to travel with the family, keep that in mind. I was traveling solo so it worked for me. Would I return? Probably so. It is convenient and it's not terrible, but they could use some improving on the bedding and what not. Another plus, is that they are connected to a restaurant and that was convenient for getting coffee and food. My first trip into the restaurant was pretty poor. I had some customers looking at me sideways. I understand this town is primarily white and they may not come across a lot of Latinas. When I asked for the free drip coffee, the server seemed very irritated. I still left a tip. On my next visit to the restaurant, it was slightly better. I ordered a specialty coffee and a bread to go. The servers seem to be having a difficult morning and the coffee wasn't that great. Didn't test anything like the menu description. The coffee bread was amazing! I didn't get a picture of the room but just know they are very small and again it was conveniently close to where I needed to be. There are a couple of general market stores on that same highway, should you need anything.

Stopped here after heading back home from Kings Canyon, grabbed the eggs Benedict with some coffee for breakfast and it was great! They have indoor seating with A/C or outdoor seating with a koi pond in the back, it's the perfect stop with plenty of parking and the food came out quick.

First time here while on our rv trip . Food: yum in the tummy! The sautéed zucchini and squash was delicious! service: nice and friendly! Ambiance: very rustic and homey! Thank you

Cute little Cafe in the way to or from the Sequoia nat'l park. The food looked amazing but we only bought coffee. It did take a bit to get the macchiato's but the ambiance & loudness of all the staff made it worth the wait. My son bought Misty's angel wings, which is a drink honoring a former manager who was killed in an accident in the way to work. God bless them & the family.

Got the coffe cake was so good and a lemon drop martini. Gena and Alexis were so sweet the outside is so beautiful with an amazing koi pond. If in the area and driving up to sequoia be sure to check out!

Food is fresh and there are new daily specials . Service is superior - the sweetest , most thoughtful staff. Loved our lunchtime music and the wildflowers on the way home made our visit so special.

Music welcome to anyone who wants to play

They have musical instruments for guests and travelers to play! Food is great and decent priced. Showers are provided with towel, good shampoo, conditioner and body wash, and hot water. Service was a perfect 10/10 very humble, friendly, cozy place and staff!

1/2 order pot roast is the best!!

Welcomed by some fun music, a clean lil restaurant and servers with huge smiles. The fish and chips (I had onion rings instead of fries) were the best - crispy, fresh and not at all greasy. Don't leave without ordering pot roast - 1:2 plate is huge. So yummy!!!

Riquísima comida ambiente y bebidas muy buenas sabrosas , recomiendo mi hi este lugar para pasar un rato súper agradable

    Old, rundown furnishings.

This is one of the closest lodging locations to the entrance to Kings Canyon NP. That, and the fact that it was clean are the two positives I can give it. Otherwise the rooms are very old and run down, extremely small and very noisy. The highway is literally right outside your door and traffic is 60 mph plus headed up the mountain. We had two twin beds that were actually cots (see pic attached). It should be $50 per night not $150.

Such a great find in Oakhurst. No wonder the ratings are so good…read more Family's owned and mommas soups are the bomb. We had green pozole and WOW. Both of us then had tacos, and I had a Gordita. All so darn good. Wish we had this good of Mexican food at home.

Check your bill before you pay!…read more Walked in for an early dinner. It was busy but we were able to get seated asap at the bar. We waited a while and then was asked "have you ordered?". We said no and placed our order The agua fresas are not authentic and are tasted like powder mix. Chicken flautas are very dry and came with some old avocado on the side. Chicken mole was delicious- the chicken was very tender. My fish tacos were excellent and packed with flavor. The server asked if I wanted to upgrade to flour tortillas but didn't tell me how much it was. After we ate, the guy helping us said "ready for the check?". I was disappointed that he didn't ask us if we wanted dessert. We paid and left. Shortly after, I thought "why was my total before tax and tip $86 instead of $71??". Idk how much the up charge for flour tortillas was, but it definitely couldn't have been $15, and if it is, shame on them (after all they charge you for chips and salsa, and double the charge if it's to-go). No clue if they added someone's drink to my total but very annoying. This is the first time I've ever been over charged. Everything here in general is overpriced unfortunately.
