carne asada fries here were so delicious. i'm from los angeles and i gotta say they did it so well…read morefor being a little mountain resort restaurant. i loved the contrast of the creamy green cilantro crema with the red chipotle crema on the perfectly tender carne asada, which i'm pretty sure was meat from the famed harris ranch of california. the fries were so perfectly crisp and the beans, cheese, etc all complemented the flavors so nicely. we also tried the apple and berry pie. it was well done as well, got one slice a la mode with icecream :). the workers here are so nice and personable. real friendly people, we loved this young man i forget his name but he was from georgia or something. they sell a lot of cute souvenirs in here such as apparel, candles, postcards and stickers branded with mineral king. they also sell backpackers dehydrated meals and little toiletries and drugs you may have forgotten. always make a trip here when i'm around. love it. they also have showers attached to the bathroom and you could just walk in and take a shower after a lil hike ?? maybe :)

We stayed in the glamping tents and were very pleased with the comfort and amenities. The shared restrooms and showers were spotless throughout our stay, which made a big difference. This cabin met my demands! We stayed in a Grant Grove cabin for one night in mid-May (Tue. 05/17/22), with a rather last-minute reservation, about 3 weeks prior. As with our one-night Yosemite stay later that week, I'd really waited too long to reserve anything in the park, so I was also stalking their website daily until one of the cabins with it's own bathroom was available for our specific night. As I was booking, or maybe afterward, I realized this was the Honeymoon Cabin, though I'm not sure how this cabin differed from the others with private bathrooms aside from having only one bed. This cabin was fantastic! Roomy inside, with many screened windows, plus a seating area & desk, mini-fridge in the large closet nook, and a decent size bathroom, the cabin had a large front deck & a picnic table on the side. Our cabin also had a space heater that we actually used on this night with open windows (for air flow). This cabin was situated on a corner of the greater cabin area, near the parking lot, so our neighbors weren't super close (maybe THAT is part of why it's the Honeymoon Cabin?). Please see my separate review for the John Muir Lodge. That's where we checked in & spent time using the WiFi Tuesday night & Wednesday morning. The comfortable lobby offered many seating areas including tables for dining & working (I did both), as well as cushioned couches & chairs in seating groups around the large fireplace. A small selection of snacks & beverages were available at reasonable prices, and a water-bottle fountain (like at airports) was near the bathrooms. This area also had a gift shop & restaurant, but separate from the John Muir Lodge. I want to mention that in addition to the Redwood trees here, the pinecones & squirrels are also oversized. Not a little bigger, but A LOT. And, at least in mid-May, the ladybugs were swarming. It was quite magical. TL;DR: I loved this cabin. I loved this National Park. I want to go back.

The wall heater did not work but there was a portable heater in the closet which was not disclosed upon checkin. Second heater in bath worked great. The private bathroom was so gross it was barely useable. The sink, toilet and tub were so seriously stained with rust or minerals (I guess). We had no intention of getting in that tub and avoided looking in the others. The rest was paint layers over layers, cracks in the floor, rusted pipes. The whole cabin floor was tilted and it felt like walking through the Mystery Spot. The charm can be retained but serious upgrades are needed. I doubt the lodge which is part of the same group has these problems. Delaware North spend some of your excessive money and increase comfort.

You have to jump off Muir Rock and explore Grizzly and Roaring Falls as well as Zumwalt Meadow. Upon entering the room there was a huge stain on the nasty green carpet, someone else's shoe under our bed, thick dust on headboard and baseboards, insulation falling from ceiling in bathroom, dirty walls, hairs embedded in sheets, black mold in shower and pubic hair on bathroom floor. We immediately went downstairs to the desk and asked to check out the very next morning, we had to cut our trip short due to these horrific conditions of our room which meant a lot of travel time for us and us missing out on seeing the park. This lodge is located in a prime location with a beautiful river running right behind it. It's too bad they don't do some much needed renovations on the lodge rooms. The service at lodge restaurant was extremely slow but tasted decent. This place was a huge disappointment and I would give zero stars if possible.

Booked a last minute stay here while driving to Sequoia National Park. We weren't going to get…read morethere until after their lobby closed, so we called the front desk and the friendly woman let us know that she will have our room key taped to the front lobby door with our name on it for self check-in and when we got there, it was easy to see and find. The room was clean and there were no issues. It gave us a place to sleep and take a shower for the night before checking out and going to Sequoia National Park, which was located about another hour away from here.
