Nothing good to say.except it looked good. The care extremely poor and there neglect has caused death

Please do not let your family members go here for rehab. Don't go here yourself. My dad spent one night here and hsd to leave. Nursing staff was understaffed, uncaring, full of lies, and petty. They left him sitting in a wet diaper for 8 hours. This facility has a bad rep for a reason. It's completely terrible and I'll be filing a report with whatever health authority I can. The way they treated him in the 24 hours he was here was completely unacceptable. read more

OWNED BY A FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION! Check their website. Building is attractive, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and understaffed by mean-spirited, rude, and entitled nurses/aides who obviously graduated at the bottom of their class. Stayed here for several weeks for rehab after an accident, and I never want to return here again. During my first week there were several times I was left sitting on the toilet for over a half hour after I pulled the call button. Bed sheets were never changed and when I asked for clean sheets I was told by three people that wasn't in their job description. Never received a shower the whole time I was there even though I asked repeatedly. Dietician never informed the kitchen about my food allergy and that I'm a vegan. Food was terrible, and when family members brought in fruits and snacks I could eat, the staff ate it while I was in rehab. Missing items - glasses, arch supports from The Good Feet Store, hand lotion, and the top to my pajamas. The cross stitch that I had taken with me was vandalized - a corner was cut off and I cannot salvage it. The woman in the room next to me complained about a mouse in her room. and I heard that there was an ant infestation on the first floor. Don't bother complaining. Not one of the staff wears their name tags right side up so you don't know who they are, and they all have the opinion that everyone over 60 is senile and can't remember anything. read more

They seem incapable of returning my mother's clothing from washing with any regulatory. items go missing nonstop and they just shrug when questioned. They refuse to share details of what my mother's funds are being spent on and incorrectly sized clothing is purchased that is never returned but distributed to others. Much of her funds seem to be spent on food items that aides feel free to help themselves to. They are unwilling to share records of funds spent with me. I was forced to sign over control of her funds with threats of impropriety on my part. I don't trust the management at all. My mother's health and welfare should not be controlled by a for profit organization. read more

Indian Springs in my book is the worst nursing home by far, unless you enjoy being mistreated. The food sucks! I wouldn't give it to my dog. We had issues with my future mother in law getting hurt while they were taking her in and out of the wheelchair. her ankle closest to the bed was badly bruised. She also said one of the nurses punched her in the nose. She was in pain all the time, but they told us she was getting her meds on a regular basis. We finally encountered a male nurse who we'd never met. And he checked the computer only to find out they hadn't given her anything for 2 1/2 weeks!!!! They lied about it. And when we contacted the person in charge there, she lied right to our faces!! I just hope people are smart enough to read the reviews to this place before taking their loved one there. And as far as getting a response about my review........DONT BOTHER!! THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN SAY TO SUGAR COAT THIS!!! This nursing home should be for hardened criminals only!!! read more

Unfortunately, I have a friend in this facility. When you visit it looks very nice, which totally misleading! A group of us are trying to go see my friend and I have called this facility several times to try and arrange a space and time for the group to visit and have left message after message with the staff and still had no results! I am furious, frustrated , and flabbergasted by the lack of follow-up and communication being exhibited by this place! I am sure that this neglectful attitude probably extends to the medical care as well! BOO! read more

I read the reviews and thought if they are years old so, my mom was referred there so I thought they must have fixed the problems by now. NO, no they haven't. All they staff is divided in two group, ( rehab, kitchen, management) and medical ( nurses, aides). The nurses and aides are trash, they come to the room at start of shift then you never see them again. My mom pushes the help button and it takes hours to get help, then they say they will be back and it takes more hours. My mom couldn't get her meds on time, if at all, they couldn't read the charts and kept telling her that her meds weren't prescribed, even after it was confirmed by the social workers that it was and in her file, they finally just told her they didn't have any at all and wouldn't at least through the weekend. No one comes when she needs to go to restroom, snacks are available but only if you come out your room, they don't make rounds and offer. Was told she could get a snack or supplement, but when asked over and over she finally got it again hours later. The aides and nurses care nothing for the patients and have no empathy for their situation. The place looks nice, clean, plenty of food, and lots of sitting areas and activities, if that's what you need, but if it's medical forget it. The rehab part is great, if it was possible to just for rehab then go home it would be wonderful. My mom takes meds to relax and sleep should be taken around seven, IF given was given after 1145 after continuously asking and she couldn't wake the next morning for rehab, meds given too late. Do not put your family and/or loved ones in this facility!! Ever. Covid or not!! Neglect!! Lack of communication!! Deceitful. Attitudes. So unprofessional from every level. We pulled my father out after 3 weeks. 3 weeks way too long. After 2 days we could see the decline. After a week I believe he was close to death. Dehydrated and not eating. We asked multiple times if he had any bed sores. They assured us that he did not. The day he came home in the ambulance it was a chilly day, and he did not even have a cover over him. His clothes had food on them, his face was not washed and his hair was filthy. He had an expensive hearing aide missing. They did eventually find it in his room but after picking it up from the facility it was no longer working and will need to be replaced. We hired a private nurse for his care. She discovered within the first few hours home he had a bed sore, thrush ( no wonder he wasn't eating!!) and he was impacted and miserable. He went to the facility for rehabilitation and came home in worse shape than he arrived just 3 weeks prior. At the age of 92 recouping the strength he had prior to being admitted with be a struggle. It has taken me a long time to be able to write this review without being overly emotional. My father was there for two weeks, during COVID, after suffering a stroke. We were unable to see him due to COVID and his ability to communicate with us had been severely impaired by his stroke. The intake person was friendly during our initial visit, but never returned a phone call once my father was there. The nursing staff did not return phone calls and calls to the nurses' station went unanswered. We had no idea how he was or what was in on with him. He fell twice while in their care, with the second fall resulting in a trip to the hospital. We brought him home from the hospital after that as my mother refused to send him back. When we collected his belongings, his things had NEVER been unpacked...clothes, snacks, Kindle reader, glasses, toiletries... all folded and stored in the bags exactly as we had packed them 14 days earlier. One bag they gave us was filled with a urine-soaked Depends and clothes so filthy they had to be thrown away. The only saving grace was that he was so impaired that was not aware of the poor treatment he received and that he never, in two weeks, was given his belongings. PLEASE find another facility for your loved one. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. read more

Please do not send your loved one to this facility. Any other Carespring facility, yes, but not this one. As a former employee, I saw things, and I know things that I won't post on here. I personally enjoyed my job as far as interacting with the staff, residents and their families and I still think Carespring is a decent company, overall. What I didn't enjoy was being verbally abused, humiliated in front of my peers, and being expected to be to never push back when I saw things that were wrong. The administrator is reckless and ruthless. Residents, their families, and employees do not matter to the administrator, only the collection of money at any cost, including illegal methods, and her bonus. Don't believe me, just spend 30 seconds on the phone with the administrator, or a brief period of time in her presence. I fielded many complaints about her during my time at Indianspring, but she remains, and I have moved on to a less stressful job where ethics matter. read more

I took a tour of this facility on behalf of my mother. I'm completely blown away by the amount of resources that are available for the residents, from the living quarters, the recreational rooms, therapy rooms, etc. I wish I could give this place 6 stars. I would highly recommend this place for anyone in search of living accommodations for a loved one. I don't get happy to often but this place has made me happy because from the residents, staff, and the facility it was all a happy atmosphere. Keep up the good work. read more
