Review from me, a Brit who lived in Birmingham for 7 years, a major center of Indian population and of course, food. Visiting Denver, I couldn't eat in due to work commitments but did get take out, consisting of Onion Bhajis, Lamb Bhuna and garlic naan. The food order was ready quickly, and I'm happy to say, was excellent. The portion was generous, with a large rice side. I ordered "Spicy" and it was very pleasantly so. The sauce was very nicely flavored with plenty of lamb and vegetables. The onion bhajis were not quite the same as you'd get in England (as normal in US indian), but were tasty and delicious, and a huge portion (I have 3/4 of it still in my hotel fridge). Only small complaint was that the naan was a little flat, but was still very good. Overall, highly recommended, so much so that I might go back a 2nd time during my visit, maybe this time to try the table service. read more

Decent amount of meat dishes for the money. Went for their lunch buffet and with the yelp discount offered, fared really well. There were no dessert options, and nothing was exceptional. IK2 is my favorite Indian place in the south burbs. The food is great. The service is consistently good. Parking is easy. They oddly have a bar, so you can go solo and watch the game while eating Indian food. Best of all, in a world where people spend $10 at fast food restaurants, the $10 lunch buffet is one of the great values in the state. Compared to India's Kitchen in Parker, this location is bigger, brighter, but the quality of the food is the same. There's so much to like here. They do all the classics well. Anything that you'd normally want - muttar paneer, saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, samosas, biryani - is good. You really can't go wrong with the regular menu. If you're really hungry, the lunch buffet is a treat on the weekends. There's always a good spread of food that is constantly refilled throughout the afternoon. There's naan, rice, meat dishes, veg dishes, and even some desserts. I'm a regular on the weekends here because I like it so much. Pro tip: There are usually coupons to India's Kitchen (valid at both locations) on the back of your King Sooper's receipt or your local quarterly Parker Dining Guide. I'll give this restaurant two stars because I actually do like a couple of the dishes we've had there. Although pricey, it's pretty good. However, I went in yesterday to get some soup and ordered the Mulligatawny. It was fair but the reason for this review is to complain about their prices. It cost $10.00 for slightly more than 6 ounces of soup! There was no lobster, caviar or gold flakes in it. Just some overcooked chicken and spiced water. What the hell? Not sure about the food. Food could still be great, but I don't know. I was in the king soopers parking lot, same shopping center, and called for an order to go. The phone rang and rang until the answering machine picked up. The machine said the voice mail box was full. I thought oh no, did it close? I remember pre Covid coming here and liking it. I drove by to see and the open light was lit, and all blinds closed. I went in and saw one table with people eating and one person at the bar with a waitress talking to the person at the bar. There was also someone wearing cook apron standing at the end of the bar. It looked like normal business but just slow going. While waiting at the entrance for someone to ask to seat me, I decided to call again to see if something was wrong with the telephone. The phone rang right next to me. No one moved to go answer it. The waitress just kept doing her thing. The guy with the apron did a brief look around and went back to the kitchen. The phone continued to ring until the machine picked up. I decided to try some place new after that. This attitude of "can't be bothered to work " and "not my job" seems to be growing in popularity. read more

I was craving Indian food which I don't eat that often since the stuff I like is the really bad-for-you choices, so it's been a while. As always I turned to Yelp for ideas, and boy am I happy I found this gem! First off, the samosas. I usually get vegetable ones, but they were out so ordered the lamb ones instead. They were the best samosas I've ever had! Perfectly flavored and cooked, along with masterful mint chutney. Then, the saag paneer. Oh my. Also the best I've had. Ordered the medium spice level and glad we didn't go higher since it was quite spicy! Full of paneer cubes and I suspect more than the average portion of ghee and/or cream since it was so smooth and rich. Main course: chicken tikka masala. Perfectly spiced and packed with tender chicken chunks. The serving sizes were prefect for 2 people with some of everything left over too. We also had garlic naan, the only non-perfect part to me. I prefer them a little doughier but my hubby loved it. Certainly a minor quibble in the grand scheme of things. Will definitely come again. Maybe even try the lunch buffet when that is a thing again and I'm in the mood to be extremely happy for an hour and then miserably full for hours thereafter. (Being from South Dakota, I'm not good at mastering the art of restraint when offered all-you-can-eat meals. It's like a challenge to me.) read more

Fabulous food and many choices if you are vegetarian. I love their Dall Fry, Sweet Potato Masala and Gobi Manchurian. We have several Indian resturants close to Highlands Ranch, but this will always be my favorite. read more

The food is absolutely amazing and my wife and I look forward to every time we eat here. The star of the show is the Masala (especially hot or India hot with lamb). The spices have great depth, the food is consistent throughout each visit and the veggie samosas are a favorite too! Great Tandoori, great Saag and the mango pudding is fantastic. I also like trying the beer local to India, which is an added bonus. I don't understand anyone who would rate this a 1 or a 2; either you're very set in your ways or McDonald's across the way might be more of your speed. read more

This review is solely for the lunch buffet offerings. I've been here many many times but they basically always have the same thing: Basmati rice Veggie/onion pakoras which are quite hard. Naan which is irregularly refilled so is often cool and hard A mild mixed vegetable stir fry with Indian seasonings Saag paneer with very very little paneer, if any Spicy green bean dish Chana masala (chickpeas) Thigh and leg chicken tikka Chicken tikka masala, super old and horribly over cooked chicken in this on my last visit Navratan Korma (mixed veg korma) Chicken curry, bone in Meatball curry, very strong meat flavor for whatever reason A couple cold desserts and an array of chutneys and Indian condiments A couple times I visited the tamarind chutney was bizarre and I mentioned it to someone who seemed relatively in charge and they replied something to the effect of, "I know, such and such put (something?) in it. It won't be that way soon". No discount offered or removing it from the buffet. I happen to love this sauce and add it to tons of things. I feel like this bland, "that's the way it is for now" attitude really encompasses the lunch buffet food quality standard. Unless I'm particularly craving the sautéed veggie dish that is something more rare to find on a buffet I doubt I will come here again. The last time the chicken tasted so "off" it killed my appetite and I wasn't feeling great a few hours later. Neither did my mom feel well that night, so I suspect it was from the Indian place as that's all we both dined on which was similar. Many positive reviews reflect better experiences at night so maybe they just neglect the buffet quality? There's another Indias Kitchen in Parker that brings the bread out each table as you dine, and I think that's a better method. I eat a lot of Indian restaurants and I can assure you that India's kitchen is consistently one of my favorite go to Indian restaurants in town. When I'm exploring and trying a new Indian restaurant I often find myself wondering, why did I waste my time and money driving here when I could've just gone to India's kitchen? Tandoori fish, chili panner, butter chicken, samosas, yellow lentils, and just about everything I've ever had here is absolutely amazing. So the bad. Atmosphere is blaaa. We're new to the neighborhood, and after reading other great reviews (who doesn't want to eat somewhere described as the star on top of your Christmas tree?!) my husband and I decided to try this local gem. Delicious food, warm atmosphere and very friendly service. We tried the butter chicken, paneer tikka masala, King Fisher beer and glass of white wine. All delicious! Sitting here now on July 16, 2019 buffet lunch, walked into what seems an unexpected busy rush, went through buffet asked about no naan? To be brushed off it's coming... then no notice when it came.. Very weary employees, you know who you are, it's 12:11 pm and its appearance of the lunch rush has left you? I mentioned to the only female server, my server once I was just about done when she came to ask how I was doing? I told her it would have been nice if she told me when naan came to the buffet as there was none... she said go get it now, and I shared I had to wait for it as my food got cold... she answered you can go get fresh new food now? Overall, not a great lunch experience and food over all is below average in flavor. I'm bummed hope you have a better lunch buffet experience. The food is always so fresh and flavorful, and the service is friendly and attentive. My kids love the cheese naan :).

I've only been here for the lunch buffet, but I'll say this. The lunch buffet is worth driving from Aurora to Centennial. I like the fact that they rotate dishes out every week and there seems to be a new dish that I fall in love with each time. The bhindi masala is TO DIE FOR, as are the Indian spiced green beans. The classic staples - saag paneer, chicken masala, and tandoori chicken are always there and always good. If you're lucky, they'll have some veggie samosas out, too - the best I've had. Just wish their kheer was a little more flavorful, but the carrot halwa and mango custard and quite nice. Also, it would be nice if they brought fresh naan out to the table like many other Indian restaurants do with their lunch buffet. It gets a little stale sitting in the steam tray. read more

Food is good but service is lacking. We went on a Wednesday evening around 7p. It was not busy when we were first seated, and I felt like it took a bit of time to be greeted and asked for drink orders. Once food came around, things got better. I got wild mushroom curry and my husband got the Rogan Josh. Both dishes were flavorful, freshly made, and hot. It took a few minutes for our naan to arrive to the table. It wasn't my favorite- I found it too thin and overcooked. We had to wait longer than I imagine to be normal for our server to come around again for us to ask for the check. All in all, the server didn't seem interested in waiting on us, and we spent longer than we liked merely because we waited so long for almost everything. With so many new Indian restaurants opening in Denver, I think it's time for them to up their game. I mean the buffet is pretty much the same every time you visit. Sometimes it's just a different vegetable in the same base. They really need to work on a rotating buffet menu.
