This place is busy. There are a lot of tables and chairs for parents to kick back and chill. Inside is a giant play structure, 2 smaller kids areas. It's a great concept, I love the interactive soft play areas and the climbing structure for the older kids! However, it was way too busy. I wish they capped the amount of people that are let in at once. My 3 year old could hardly navigate the play areas because they were packed full of kids. The play areas were also full of older kids, which didn't seem age appropriate. There were 10 year olds telling my toddler he couldn't play with something that wasn't even developmentally appropriate for them. There were also lots of 5-8 year olds in the baby / toddler only section so I really wish that was enforced. There were also several broken or run down toys in the sensory room which was a let down. We've come here a few times for birthday parties as they have a nice area in the back to host parties. The best part though is how Indigo Play offers an indoor space for children of all ages. My kiddo usually is hesitant to engage in new places but they actually warmed up fairly quickly here! I like how they have different play spaces depending on development/age. My kiddo really likes the tummies, crawlers and cruisers area and often asks me to push them on the "merry go round". Kiddo also enjoyed the area across where there is a café, fire station, vet, garage for imaginative play. Oh, for the parents, they do also sell snacks/food if I recall. They also have a lot of couches to lounge and even tables if needed to do some work. There is a large multistory playscape with slides geared toward older kids but I believe younger kids can also play. I would suggest adult supervision though as it can be a bit of a maze to navigate and the older kids don't really pay attention to the younger ones. The same goes for the sensory room with the older kids just running a muck but my kiddo does like playing in the soft foam pit, playing with the keyboard, lights, etc...additionally there is a free play space near the back with soft cubes that is also a hit. Oh, and if you come here, remember to bring your socks as it is required for both adult and child! I would also probably bring some hand sanitizer or wipes as this place seems to always be busy and probably full of germs. However, the kids definitely seem to have a great time. read more

Id recommend this place if your child is under 8. Any kid over that might not be as entertained but my sister is 7 and loves this place. Its a cute play place for kids and reasonibly priced admission. The food was pretty good and decently priced as well. Very limited arcade games. So we went to Indigo Play for our grandchildren's birthday celebrations. I'll just list a few "pro tips" that may help those my age, and maybe some younger. 1. This is a superb place for a party. Plenty of room and they limit attendance. Plus it's obvious they take care to keep it clean. 2. They have several airport-like leather massage chairs (available to you for $$$ per minute, not inexpensive but go for it, you deserve it! I sat down in one and it actually massaged me for minute or two and then it emitted an embarrassing repetitive "beep!!" (i.e., "remove this freeloader, now!"). 3. There are comfortable couches that face the play area. I noticed several moms/dads/etc. with their heads in their devices. The kids are on their own and having fun, so why not? 4. This is actually a nice place to work (earpods, yes) and know that your kiddoes will be totally entertained and (probably?) safe. 5. The bathrooms were very clean. 6. They serve coffee and a few snacks are also available. 7. If you organize a party here, you will be assigned a staff helper. They were incredibly helpful to us, and very efficient and friendly in keeping things on schedule. 8. Your kids will be exhausted and that's a good thing! read more

My 4 year really enjoyed it! We went during the weekday and it wasn't too crowded. Very clean and plenty of space activities for all ages.

I used to love taking my children here, but it's gone downhill and fast. Everything is absolutely filthy and if it can be broken it is, and has been for a disappointingly long period of time. They replaced the book as toy shop with a cash grab arcade that is, you guessed it, a mess and basically all broken and junky. There is a toddler room that is absolutely trashed and full of broken junk. No one working there cares two squirts about the conditions what so ever, and that starts from the top down. Owners/managers, take note, it's obvious you don't care and it shows. My eldest even said "I don't ever want to come back" and she absolutely LOVED this place for years. They allow 2 adults with every kid so this is a great way to spend some family time with indoor activities and for kids to burn some energy. It's been a long time since I felt the need to write a review, and it's been a while since I've been here - but I remember something happened the first time I came in and this last time I came in with my daughter made me remember what happened and I just had to come leave a review. The first time I came in my wife and I overheard what I assume was a manager or owner just being rude to one of the other employees. If I remember or heard right, the manager's name was Anna (she was short, had short blonde hair). First, she just assumed that one of her coworkers wasn't working and talked to her like she was stupid, even though she was running around just a few moments before. And then I heard her basically gossiping to one of the other coworkers about the one she just was rude to. Then when I came in recently, I saw her again and I could just tell she was making everyone very uncomfortable. As soon as anyone saw her they were avoiding her. I'm actually really surprised she's still there, it's been a long time since the first time we came in. Very unprofessional. I like this place a lot, and I'd definitely come back. I hope whoever this lady is reads this and realizes that she needs to be nicer/not assume things. And for crying out loud, have a backbone and stop gossiping. If you've got a problem or a request for someone, go to them. If you're thinking about going, go! They have food and drinks (the good kind ;-) )and a really cool set up for the kids. I brought my godbaby here and we had the BEST time! Great time, great parking and great prices gave them the 5 stars. I did get sick after so make sure to sanitize your hands constantly lol. They've thought of everything down to the little cafe which was such a help with lunch (and coffee for me). The worker was so helpful and sweet. I took my kids here New Year's Eve during the day and they had a "Noonee Eve" celebration for the kiddies with a balloon drop, juices, pizza and champagnes for the adults. This place is amazing! I brought my two-year-old granddaughter here today to play. It's bright and cheerful and safe. Upon entrance, there is a very secured child gate that closes behind us, so no child can get out and get lost, even though parental supervision is required. They have giant Legos made out of foam that are great fun. They have a giant slide with an American flag Pattern on it. They have a little snack bar for the children. They have areas segregated for children's ages. They have an area for babies common area for toddlers, and an area for bigger kids. They have massage chairs for the grown-ups. There's plenty of places to sit. They have this adorable merry-go-round that is daddy operated! Everyone leaves their shoes in the cubby in the front, and everyone is in stocking feet, even the grown-ups. Everyone I observed there was having a great time. I saw a mom on the giant slide with her child on her lap and that was great to see. I saw a dad building a fort with the giant Legos with his son, I saw children on the Merry-go-round with another dad pushing it around for everyone. it was a great experience. The only part of the day that was difficult was leaving. We could've stayed there all day! For a child 12 or under, this is a great place for a birthday party. Indigo play has been our savior on many a hot summers day. It's great! The kids get to run around and burn off energy on the giant indoor playscape. If you need to work there are tables you can stake claim to and there are also comfy couches. While no outside snacks are allowed, they have snacks for sale. Also, last but not least, the bathrooms are somehow always clean. When running around in socks, it's amazing to feel comfortable walking into a bathroom. All the staff are super friendly. Dakota helped us today because I forgot my socks and is good for a double high five. That guy is a good egg. read more

I've been to several comparable play areas in the Austin area and across Ohio. Now those aren't near each other but I've been a professional nanny in both places and comparing apples to apples this place doesn't quite match up to some of its counterparts. For Austin though, this might be one of the better ones. Judging it locally, this is place is alright. I spent about $40 for two kids under 5 to come in and play. The main play area is big, one of the only downfalls being it's almost impossible to get a good look in there to find your kid once they've been set loose. They don't allow outside food which is really inconvenient with children with dietary restrictions. Usually places who expect you to eat their food have lower entrance fees. Don't forget your socks when you come, They do sell some at $3/pair. They only had mens socks that were several sizes too big for me. read more

This place is not safe! There are NO security measures and we were there during peak hours on a Saturday. The parking lot was always full, and no one was checking kids going in and out of the building. Anybody could walk in and out with any child. We love this place! Our very energetic son has been coming here since he was old enough to walk, and it's been fun seeing him go from the younger kids' areas to the giant playscape/obstacle course. No matter how adventurous or reckless he gets, I'm usually not worried that he'll seriously hurt himself because everything is pretty soft and padded. He's only two and a half, so we still have to follow him around and help him go down the bigger slides, which means I get to enjoy the playscape too. It does get a little tricky with older kids who might be horseplaying inside, so just make sure to steer your little on away from the chaos. We even held his 2nd birthday party here a few months ago and invited several of his classmates and some family friends. The staff was friendly and very helpful with setup and cleanup. We brought our own food and drinks and had several tables reserved in the back for our guests. So glad to have a place like Indigo just 5 minutes away from us. On the flip side, I'm a bit worried our boy is going to want to come here every single day. We took our 11 month old on a Sunday afternoon for the first time. The place was pretty crowded, with multiple parties going on, but it didn't feel overly crowded. They have something for everyone here. Although, there is definitely more to do for the older kids, the have a nice section for the crawlers. We were able to keep busy for nearly 2 hours, bouncing around between the two heavily padded sections. They have a full service food bar that even has adult drinks along with what I would call ballpark food. At just under $20 for my wife, kid, and I, we had a blast. I don't know if we will come back before out boy is a bit older, but having the option is really nice. read more

I really like the space here at Indigo Play by Anderson Mill! We previously took our 13 month old to inflatable play areas but he was scared and not into jumping and bouncing. Our experience taking him to Indigo Play was 100% thrilling for the toddler. Right away, there are sections for tummy crawlers, cruisers and under 3 year olds, but they are free to roam with parent discretion since my little absolutely wants to toy with the tower jungle gym in the center behemoth. There is also a sensory room area which has lights, step piano and more to let your little ooh and ah. Our time Saturday was great and they let us know they will close at 1pm, to sanitize, but were free to return after that. Our visit Sunday morning right when they opened was peaceful and quiet, but he had the whole space to explore. It was so nice. He made tons of friends, parents are also friendly and everyone wearing masks and socks was much appreciated. Love love indigo play. We have been taking my son there since they opened so needless to say they have kept him engaged and having fun from 2 years old to now 5 years. It can get busy on the weekends but the weekdays are more manageable. They have plenty of snacks to purchase for the kiddos and also alcohol for the adults is a plus. 2 adults get in free with each child so that's another thing that sets them apart from other places. As a parent you get to discover a lot (I mean A LOT) of indoor playgrounds, with it you normally get that creepy crawly feeling every time you see a dark play area with carpets and dark cushioned pads that hide stains etc. Well fret not fellow parents, this place is bright and clean! I can't put my finger on it but it's much more relaxing here than at any other place we've been to. They have a small coffee shop that sells adult beverages, a fairly tidy area to keep your belongings and shoes, a little tot soft play area, sensory room, book store, and mini arcade. We have been bringing our two daughters here since opening day in 2019. Our youngest was 2 at the time and our oldest was 4, here again today 3 years later and they still have a blast every time. The playscape is MASSIVE and the space for even littler ones kept ours entertained in the early days. Be warned of the "sensory room", if it is intended to be a calm/quiet space it most certainly is not treated that way by the kiddos. A ball pit, less music, bubble tower, and dim lighting makes for a curious environment. They have recently added a small redemption game area. We've yet to utilize that space but the offerings seem adequately fun. It is small so I wouldn't call it an "arcade". Super clean and the actual play structures are really cool. However, the play structures are so big that it's hard to keep track of kiddo unless you are inside the structure with them. This is fine for little bitty kiddos but by the time kids are 4 or so they don't really want you following them around. I usually don't have any issue with this but there are no checks at the exit to make sure the correct adult is leaving with the correct kiddos. Plus the gates to exit are really short and a kiddo could easily just walk out. Not one is monitoring them or not he doors when it's busy. Lastly, there was a QR code to do the waiver at the entrance but I had to ask if it was needed and no one checked to make sure we did it. So overall- super cute place, very clean but the safety checks in place at other places just like this just aren't there. I likely won't bring kiddos back on a busy weekend and would only feel comfortable coming when it's not very crowded and I can easily spot my kiddos. read more

When it's hot out in Austin, all we can think of is indoor playground. At Indigo Play, we were able to enjoy the spacious playscape where both parent & kids can enjoy and explore. Their playscape is 3 levels with lots of educational displays and easy obstacles for kids. There were a small section for baby/toddlers under 3 yo to play. Across is another separate section for the imagination station and sensory room. Near the front area, there were video games and games that you can play for tickets to redeem for small toys/souvenirs. We also like that we can come in and out whenever we wanted too by showing them our stamped hand which we get upon paying our admission fee. This place is worth coming back for its price. read more

I don't think this place is ready for public play. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. I showed management the photos and she did not seem receptive of my critiques. She initially denied that the zipper was unsecured until I showed a photo. once I showed the photo, she denied that the unsecured zipper was within child reach. I then showed the photo with my child's hand reaching up to the zipper. It was an extremely uncomfortable interaction. Other than that, I would say it's a bit pricey for what it is and make sure that you budget for food there if your child needs a snack because no outside snacks are permitted. read more

I drove up to Austin from SA bc of a toddler bday party being hosted at Indigo Play. I didn't know the first thing about it but omg we're going to definitely do another trip back to Austin asap just to visit Indigo Play again! My two year old was a bit shy and nervous at first but within maybe 5-10 minutes he was running up and down the amazing three story structure like a champ! I had to follow him around since he was too young to let loose on his own, but I bet within a year he'd be able to navigate mostly on his own. I'm short but I still bashed my head a few times, so be careful! This is the most non stop fun place I think we've ever been to! It was also spotlessly clean. My only complaint is that it was PACKED by the time we left around 11:15am on a Saturday, so maybe we'll try to come back during a weekday next time. read more

Highlight: This is a seriously cool play space, but it is expensive and has rules galore. Rules exist for a reason, which I can appreciate--but in order to be effective, they must be posted clearly and consistently enforced. 1- be prepared to pay for your toddlers and infants. If your baby is older than 5 months, you will pay for them to take a nap in their infant seat/moby wrap. Bringing my infant and toddler cost $20 with tax. 2-everyone needs socks. I'm accustomed to this rule for kids enjoying the play spaces, but not for parents sitting on the sidelines watching. Totally get this from a sanitary perspective... but again, not for a parent sitting on the outside of the play areas. Forgot socks for yourself? Prepare to purchase socks on site. 3-This play cafe does not allow outside food. So, after spending about $25 for two kids and socks for yourself, plan to also purchase overpriced, prepackaged snacks. 4-There are two main seating areas: a handful of couches down the side of the play areas, and a smattering of cafe seating by the refrigerated/packaged snacks. There's also a gigantic seating area at the back of the space, perfect for keeping an eye on your toddlers climbing in the giant play structure. Because the couches and cafe seating were all full, my friends and I seated ourselves in the large, open table seating at the back (pictured in my review). After we had been sitting for a while, minding our own business, and not making a mess of any kind, we were curtly chastised like misbehaving children for sitting in a prohibited area. Despite zero signage to this effect, this area is 100% off limits for use. There was absolutely nothing indicating this space as off limits, as you can see in the photo. All in all, this is a cool space and my non-napping child enjoyed it tremendously. However, there are many choices for play spaces in this area and we will not return. I would strongly encourage management to review some of their more inconvenient policies and add seating that is accessible to patrons. read more
