This place is cute! My husband went here on a whim because we were off of work for the holiday. They weren't busy and there was plenty of room to play! We did call ahead to make sure they were open and there were spots to play. I showed online you could reserve time, which is nice if you're trying to make sure your kiddo can get some playtime in. The space is pretty perfect for small parties/groups. The staff was nice and greeted us when we walked in. We absolutely loved the option of having a coffee/snacks while our toddler played around. There are tables and chairs to sit and hang out. Don't forget to bring your own socks! They do have some for purchase but still nice to keep in mind. The toys are all pretty nice and in good shape. We really liked that it's nice for toddlers that are still learning to walk on their own which was one big reason for us to check this place out. They have one bathroom with a changing table! What a fantastic spot for little toddlers! While I don't own a child, I came here to help my friend set up for her toddler's 3rd birthday party. There's a dedicated room with adorable little chairs for the kids, while the adults stand. The space accommodates up to 20 toddlers comfortably. The staff are incredibly helpful--they assist with portioning food, serving lunch, and cutting the cake. There's also a giant playground designed with various textures, stairs, and spaces suited for different developmental stages. I really appreciated that the staff diligently wipe down everything between each group--such an important touch! Adults are welcome inside but must wear socks, just like the kids. The two-hour party time flies by, making it the perfect venue for a fun-filled celebration. Parking is available on the street or in a small lot with about 10-15 spots. We've visited Tot Box twice so far and we are definitely a fan. The place overall is on the smaller side, but the price is pretty fair, and if the 2-hour slot is all booked up with 20 kids and their parents, it can get crowded. However, good times were had and our 18 month old had a blast, staying the full 2 hours. We ordered a drink as well and it was good. Don't be intimidated when you see the parking lot empty. They are open! The entrance door is near the parking lot off Mays St. Inside there are tables for the adults to enjoy a baked good or coffee. Kids have cubbies to put their shoes in. Lots of fun will be made here. They also have the ability to let you rent out the place for a birthday party. Tot Box is a great place but VERY similar to Family Barn in Georgetown. While both businesses are great places to bring your children I do favor family barn over tot box. They are a little bit cheaper, they are larger, and have more selection of activities and toys. They have larger and brighter seating areas and a very large section of beverages and snacks. This location seems very copy and paste but lacking the extra pizzaz that Family Barn has. While I am skeptical of how Tot Box became so similar to the original Family Barn, they are still worth checking out- it is nice new indoor play area for kids that doubles as a cafe for adults. A nice spot to get some work done, take a break, or meet up with other parents while your kids spend time exploring and playing. It is family owned and very welcoming. Time slots can be reserved online with 1 hour playtimes in the early morning and two hour play times the remainder of the day. Prices range from $10-$18 depending on time and date. Hours are from 8am-6pm with targeted ages from 1-6. I did order a Chai Latte and it didn't really deliver the flavor... it tasted like nutmeg. Hopefully their other beverages are better. read more

They loved it especially the dance party with bubbles and music. As a first time mom, it was a great experience to meet up at a place specifically for infants/toddlers without all the worry and judgments. My friend was able to breastfeed comfortable (she was covered). We were surrounded by the best sounds and joy that life has to offer, Infants and toddlers were making all sorts of noises: talking, laughing, playing and some brief crying. If you're looking for an indoor playscape built for little ones, this is the spot! It's not a huge space but that's what's great about it. The 2 hour play windows are perfect for 1-5 year olds and everything is designed for that age group. They serve delicious drinks and pancakes which is the perfect snack for hungry toddlers. It was clean and if anything was in question, the owner Cort did a double check for me and gave it an extra wipe. We used the table area for lunch and the high chairs felt clean, secure, and safe. They sanitize the play area often and have a place to put contaminated toys (my niece was teething). It was so nice to be able to take her there and let her play without fear of her getting hurt with toys not age appropriate. You have pay in advance to reserve a time slot and it runs about $19.50 for a 2 hour slot or $11 from 8-9am. While your kid(s) goes play, there are tables and chairs for parents to sit, relax with the free WiFi and even order coffee from the cafe inside. I saw a private room that looks like it's dedicated to parties too. I met and chatted with the owner for a bit and she was so lovely. I really liked how clean everything was and there is an employee who is constantly tidying the play areas (bless their heart because one minute it will get cleaned up then within seconds a child will come scrabble it all up). My husband and I wanted to take the kids out for a bit and decided to hit up living spaces only to find their play area was closed. It was 5pm and I remembered a cute little place I had bookmarked on Yelp... Tot Box.... I called to check hours and was greeted by the most welcoming person who invited us to stop in even though they'd be closing at 6:15. Normally I wouldn't make the drive for an hour of play but I really felt compelled to check it out based on their customer service. I am so glad we went!!! My daughters really loved it there and I enjoyed a latte in their cute cafe while they played and had fun. Their playscape and pretend play stations are immaculately clean, the space is contained with little gates keeping the kiddos inside, and though its spacious it's small enough that you can see everything happening from the comfort of your cafe table. I highly recommend doing their online waiver before arrival and booking your appt for play since there is a limit of kids allowed in the play area at once. The owner is super lovely and you can tell she put so much thought and care into creating this space in our neighborhood. Please stop by and check them out!!!! A great concept but very much crowded. I was iffy on coming during cold and flu season but ultimately I knew they sanitized as much as possible. Very disappointed.This place has no rules and the two young girls working in the back of the counter don't care how many people/ kids are in the play are. Today I witnessed kids that were older that 6 playing roughly around the little ones like mine. With all the kids and all the parents two or more for kids in the play area it was over crowded and very dangerous. This place should consider doing age limits for different times or don't allow older kids in the play area with the little ones and Allow one one parent to go in. Super cute cafe, love to support small businesses, this place is great for ages 0-3. Downside: there were WAY too many people for such a small space. We were done at just an hour. No room to even put our shoes in a cubby, or sit at a table since people claimed them with their bags. I counted 18 kids at once time, not including parents, which made the space really really cramped. With all the balls flying, cars driving, and loose items, and parents trying to follow kids, it was overwhelming. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. After he showed us around, my daughter and I began our play. Although she doesn't walk yet, she was able to play with most of the toys. I'd love to see how she grows with this place. Had high hopes, but space was just to crowded to truly enjoy the experience. I had hoped to get some work done (as is advertised) while letting my little one get some play time in but there wasn't even a place to sit and put my things down to do so comfortably. However, my toddler had fun playing with all the new toys and interacting with the other kids. Lots of adults were standing around in the play area in the way of some of the interactive toys. My toddler isn't able to ask them to politely move and the adults unfortunately weren't self-aware. I don't think we'll visit again, especially for the price, unless there is an expansion or less slots for the time frame. Service was friendly. This place blew my mind! there are thousands of other places like this but not the same concept. 1st, you purchase a slot which reduces the amount of kids & ppl at the place. 2nd, the fact that your kids are right there infront of you & you dont need to get up to go look for them was the best idea in this business ever!!! in my 2 week vacation I literally went there 5-6 times. This place is amazing! Best ambiance out of all the play cafes I've been to. The owners are so kind and go above and beyond. The play area was incredibly clean and there is no/zero smell of strong chemicals from cleaning products at all. Their bubble party was soo cute and unique and shows the level of care in the details. My Neice had a lot of fun! My sister and I both got the lavender latte at the cafe with oat milk (I recommend adding honey ). It was incredibly yummy and they even put lavender sprinkles on the top. My sister wanted to check it out to support a female Latina owned business and we immediately fell in love with this place. It exceeded our expectations! My personal opinion is that it's the best play cafe in central Texas. They even offer a party room in the back that can be reserved for special occasions and they also offer another package where you can rent out the entire place for 2 hours. 10/10 I definitely recommend this place! I went here today with my 3 1/2 year old and 7 month old. I have been to almost all of the indoor play places in the Austin area and this is my least favorite so far. $40 for my 2 kids to play was way too exspensive and not worth it! They should offer a discount for a sibling or not charge for under a year like a lot of other places because the baby just sat there. They allow way too many kids in there at a time. It's a small space and it was chaos. There was an older kid jumping on top of things that he wasn't supposed to and all over the younger kids and staff never turned away from their computer or phone the whole time. The one good thing was the cost of drinks and snacks was fair. It did look clean. They need to put a label on the bin for toys that have gone in kids mouths. My baby put things in her mouth and I put it in there but other parents did not do that. read more
