Service was fine. The restaurant is nice although there were wet footprints by the entrance to the bar area where we were sat? But the food was largely not good. The parker house rolls and honey butter were amazing but things after that stagnated. The kalamari was fine, nothing wrong with it, average kalamari. But the drink I got was supposed to have rhubarb in it which you couldn't taste at all. The crab and artichoke dip was just cheese -- maybe a few small pieces of crab and not a detectable piece of artichoke in sight. Came with stale bread as well. And the crab cake (which I've had several times in the past and thought was great)? Well look at the picture - would you serve that to someone? Admittedly nice large chunks of crab with little filler but it was smushed and falling apart and on top of that it was not warm all the way through. Also it was 615 pm (the beginning of the night) and they were out of the pork belly tots which is a huge reason we decided to go there. Anyways, had good experiences in the past but this is probably our last visit. Hope it was just a fluke night in the kitchen for their sake.

Parking is difficult as it is only street parking with no parking lot and limited street parking as it is. We were there early and even then it was hard to get a table at 5:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday. We got a table in one of the rooms off to the side and though it was loud you could hear yourself talk with the people in your party. Since it was during happy hour we were able to get drinks at a slightly reduced price and I had the cilantro honey Margarita which was outstanding. Our friend got a Paloma and another friend had just a regular margarita. They were different in color and taste but were really good. We started out with guacamole and chips and the guac was delicious. We were charged for chips and addition and I would have thought that if we were ordering guacamole that the chips would have come with it but it did not, it was an extra charge. For our main entrees, I ordered a ceviche with shrimp, octopus, and sea bass and it didn't come as I'm used to as there was a container of white sauce in the middle which was good I just didn't pour it all over the ceviche and dipped in instead. The ceviche was really good and very filling and meal in itself. The others in the party got tacos and a burrito and both looked amazing. I was still hungry enough to have dessert and I had a Choco Taco which was good though on the small side and it looked like it just came out of the freezer and didn't have to be made. My friend ordered the flan and she's gluten free and it looked delicious and tasted delicious but it took a while to prepare. Just so you are aware, they add 20% on to your check regardless of the party size. That's fine as that's what I would have given anyway. All in all for the food that we had it was reasonably priced. I didn't see anything outrageously priced in their menu and I highly recommend Clavel and I will be back in the future.

Their salsa is warm (temperature, not spice) because of the way it is prepared. We've had the fundito before but I prefer not to get that because it is too filling! The tacos are great- really good ingredients, you can add on things like pickled vegetables and beans. Definitely makes a very filling meal! We went for HH to get their delicious margaritas on discount. The service is always great, bartenders are super nice. The bar area is not huge so get there early for a spot. Even getting a table can be hard sometimes as they get busy!

We were seated at a table that overlooked the court and a digital screen that flashed beautiful photos of Italy's top tourist spots. My kids were thrilled when they saw Venice, since they just learned about it in school. After ordering food, I took the kids to the bocce court while my partner could enjoy the wine and watch us from above. I know he appreciated having the break and a good glass of wine to go with it. Service was friendly and the food was fantastic. We ordered several dishes including several types of pasta, meatballs, cheesy bread and a caesar salad. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and a great vibe overall. I already have a reservation when we pass through Baltimore again in a few weeks.

Don't come here if you're just looking for blah food! If all you want is spaghetti and meat sauce go down to Fazzolis. This is higher flavor town Italian food with a mission to make you melt in delight. And it succeeds! Service is out standing, the food is flavor art, the location is tight but has great character, and I would come back in a heart beat!
