What a great night! Cory was a fantastic server and took great care of us throughout the meal. The food was excellent across the board. We started with the half a dozen oysters, really impressive shrimp cocktail and calamari then moved on to the filet, crab cake, and a gluten free fudgy cake for dessert. Everything was well executed, but the crab cake was the real standout -- honestly one of the best I've ever had, and as a Marylander that's not something I say lightly. The fudgy cake was the perfect ending. We will absolutely be back.

I will start by saying that it was Mother's Day and they were extremely busy, but there were things that could have been controlled. When we got seated, our server came over and poured us waters. She informed us that she would bring us more water and also told us that the kitchen was extremely behind and that she was taking our brunch menus and giving us dinner menus. There were a couple of items we wanted to order that were not available at dinner. We wanted to order a couple of appetizers that would come out quickly as we were hungry. We ordered a dozen oysters and asked for the Parker house rolls cause she said both would come up quick. The oysters came out quickly, but we didn't see the Parker house rolls until the rest of our appetizers came out. Our server stopped by and once again said she would bring us more water. It was well over an hour until she brought another carafe of water. We were without water or drinks for quite a long time. The oysters were delicious. The Parker house rolls were good. My daughter and I split the sea-cuterie. It was fantastic and I would have loved more of it. We also had an order of the lump crab and artichoke dip and it was fantastic. For my meal, I had the falafel and hummus bowl. I really enjoyed it and each bite was so flavorful. We also ordered the shrimp spaghettini, which I'm told was very good and they would order again. The corn Mill crusted, Chesapeake Bay blue catfish was eaten once they got home because we were there for over three hours. Our food was promised to us numerous times and it still didn't come out. We were disappointed that a manager did not come by and check on any of the tables, especially since they knew they were so far behind in the kitchen. It was frustrating that our waitress. when she had the opportunity to do better, did not. For example, she asked if we wanted dessert and we said we would look at the menu. I could see her standing and talking to another server for almost 3 to 5 minutes before she brought us the menus. She knew that we had been there for a very long time and yet when she had the opportunity to lessen that time, she chose to chat with somebody. We asked for a manager to come over and let him know that we realized how busy they were due to it being Mother's Day, but that we were disappointed that no one checked with us and that our special day turned into us sitting there at a high top for 3 1/2 hours. He did take responsibility and offered us a discount on our meals and comped our desserts. I will say that overall, the food was outstanding. We enjoyed being outside and overlooking the water and seeing a cruise ship docked nearby. It even rained and we still enjoyed the feel of the restaurant.

I always enjoy myself at Rye Street Tavern. The location is great, although the parking can be pretty hit or miss depending what's going on that day in the surrounding area. The last time I went, they were doing some type of yoga event at the Sagamore distillery, so those participants took up a good chunk of the parking lot. I really enjoy sitting in the bar area during football season. The TVs are huge and service is pretty good. I've also been to a few business and personal dinners here and they've been great experiences. The food is great. I love their Seacuterie app as well as their honey old bay wings which are amazing. Their steaks have always been good. I had the salmon this week for the first time and it was seasoned very well! Not a fan of the kennebec potatoes that come with some of the entrees as they're usually dry and unseasoned. I wish they would improve the recipe there! Besides that, I'm usually pretty satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend it to others.

First time eating here and it was awesome. It was a little unclear of how to enter the restaurant for inspecting but someone instructed us. Once getting in, we had reservations for 9:30 pm and we waited abt 10-15 minutes to be seated. Our server was very pleasant, attentive , professional and funny (I don't remember her name) . I had the "Chesapeake Bay Rockfish" of which was really good, it was served with butter beans and spinach. I also had a side ordered of collards abd they were really good as well. My husband ordered "The Catfish" with spinach and mash potatoes, which was super good. Drinks were super good as well. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated. I disliked that bathrooms were only on the 2nd floor but I can understand why. The ladies bathroom needed some attention, but judging by the volume of people , it be no way to keep the bathroom clean completely. Overall we had a great time and would come back again! It was organized , food was played nicely and staff was awesome!

We went for Sunday brunch from 12 to 3. They have music on the outside bar their branches very good. They've really changed the menu to include a lot of different items not just eggs or eggs, Benedict or waffles. You could get anything from salad to salmon dishes to burgers to.Wonderful apps. We ordered the sizzling oysters. Would you get For and also the crab artichoke dip which was very tasty and not too much cream cheese. The Cocktails are very good I had the Maria Maria and it didn't disappoint you really could taste the alcohol in the drink so that was nice. My husband ordered the burger and the fries which were fabulous and I had the salmon with the salad. All good. Outside for Sunday brunches first comes first serve so you have to plan ahead for that service was excellent as always.

I cannot say enough good things about Rye Street Tavern. The ambiance, the food, the service, everything was on point. We booked a reservation on open table so we were seated immediately. They have an upstairs and a downstairs, with a beautiful view of the harbor throughout. We started with the calamari and it was perfectly cooked. I loved that it had a cornmeal crust which was different. For my meal I got the braised lamb bucatini. The lamb was cooked PERFECTLY. It was so tender and had amazing flavor. The bucatini was also cooked perfectly and I love how the lemon ricotta blended in and tied the dish together. Overall we had a fantastic time and I will be back!

Rye Street Tavern is always a great place for dining. The atmosphere is great, decorative, and clean! Unfortunately, I forgot my servers name but she was phenomenal with making menu suggestions and she was very attentive. The wings here are my favorite. I do not know any establishment that allows you to split the wing flavors. We ordered half buffalo and half honey old bay. The honey old bay was delicious. The Mac and cheese and collards were not my favorite but the short rib was tender and seasoned well. When the weather is nice out it is perfect to sit outside as the restaurant overlooks the water.

We came here for a Christmas gathering and it was super lovely. The atmosphere was beautiful at Christmas time. The food was also incredibly delicious! I got the steak and crab cake and oh boy was that crab cake phenomenal. Hardly a lick of filler to be found. The calamari was also incredible. Our waiter definitely left a bit to be desired. It felt like we were forgotten about at times and like about an hour could've been shaved off of our time here if we were actually attended to. It also was a hassle to get drinks ordered and drinks were also forgotten about.

One of my fav places for outdoor seating! They have a great happy hour if you like oysters and I love the sagamore mule for $8. The view of the water is beautiful. I love to bring my dog. Love the wings! Last time I got a filet special and I was blown away. Desserts are just ok peanut butter one is the best and service is pretty good usually

Have gone a few times. I love the consistency and variety of Rye street tavern. The food is your standard tavern options but with an elevated flare to some of them. Nothing stands out as particularly memorable but I never hate anything I try. Solid 3 stars to me. Highly recommend getting oysters! Some of the best in the area. Service is quick and efficient. Ambiance is great for a date or a solo adventure. In warm months the outdoor seating has an amazing view worth posting about.

Visited Rye Street Tavern again with my colleagues. I ordered the po boy sandwich and it was the best po boy I ever had! Nathan was our server and he was fantastic! He recommended the po boy and he was right. It was delicious. I also tried the crab dip and it was creamy while you can taste the crab. The bread that i came with was soft and fresh. I really enjoyed the crab dip. Everyone in our group loved what they ordered. The iceberg wedge salad, burger, crabcakes, and crab dip were all standouts among our group. Shoutout to our server, Nathan, who was patient, kind, and willing to help us with the cupcakes that we brought in. Nathan also gave us to go containers and bag for our cupcakes. We truly enjoyed our time.

Smooth blues-swing set the tone at an indoor bar on the Patapsco. We came to Rye Street Tavern once again, this time to hear a fine blues-swing band we know, The Blue Rhythm Boys, in the acoustically-full indoor first-floor bar. We love this band and these musicians, who often play together or separately across a variety of venues and musical styles. There's plenty of free onsite parking, using an app to register your car for several hours. The indoor bar is on the right from the main entrance, with high-top seating for around 18, and seating for about 18 more at two bars, one of which has a view of the Patapsco River. And above the bar is a back balcony with seating for 16, and a Patapsco-facing loft bar with seating for 28, and you can also hear the band from both. It's almost secondary to mention the food and drinks we enjoyed :-). We arrived during the 3-6pm happy hour, and managed three $10 drinks from that menu, two Sagamore Rye Manhattans, always crisp and balanced, and their margarita, sweet and tangy. Of course we had the 3pm-6pm (and late-night) half-price oysters, 6 for $11.50, always a tender juicy treat here. This time we chose medium New Brunswick Chebooktook oysters on the half shell, lightly-briny with a sweet finish, served with oyster crackers, and sides of cocktail sauce and classic simple mignonette red-vinegar shallot sauce. They had several Oktoberfest entrees available (Oct 2025), but we decided on their very loaded $20 mile-high roast pork-belly sandwich, incredibly tender thin shaved slices with savory herb flavoring and "southern maryland style" spicy braised greens, on a light soft toasted challah bun. And we enjoyed their $23 gentle butternut squash al-dente ruffled lily-shaped campanelle pasta in buttery gruyère, with transparent caramelized onions and bright green pepitas, under pecorino romano and several sprigs of bold fried sage. This was our first time indoors here, which is the reason for this review. There are several other indoor and balcony dining areas that we haven't tried yet. Street Tavern is quite a lovely venue with many choice experiences. We heard a group of musicians with sublime talent in a room with great acoustics. And the food and drink were lovely as always. By the way, on the way out after dark, we saw lovely blazing fire pits with seating on their patio, and we felt a flood of warmth from overhead heating at their outdoor bar. This will be a nice spot in chilly weather.

I was blown away by the service I received here the other day. To be fair, I did go with someone that knew the restaurant, but I went over lunch and had a really great time. It's a stunning restaurant honestly Rye before the Clyde group took over was my favorite restaurant in the city. I got their pretzels, which was one of the best pretzels I've had in the city and I really like their oyster program a lot they had a lot of really good oysters, and I learned that they have one of the largest oyster restoration programs in the country. The salad was really good, but the thing that I thought was the most special was this roasted butternut squash soup, which isn't seasoned it's just self fortified and mixed with chicken stock with a Brulé of marshmallows. I really thought it was a fun play on the Thanksgiving, sweet potato casserole. I definitely want to go back!

    Are they dog friendly (outside)?

Yes, they are dog-friendly outside. I bring my dog all the time! They even provide a water bowl for my dog.

    How's the calamari?

Really good! It comes with piper peppers for a hint of spice and an excellent remoulade sauce for acidity!

I could not get enough of the beautiful view. I was slightly kicking myself for not taking a sunrise timelapse video. Upon checking in, my girlfriend and I took a quick tour of the lobby and the bar upstairs. We opted to grab a cup of coffee at Formula Espresso (the coffee shop/convenience store in the lobby). They use Illy espresso beans which are some of my favorite. We each ordered latte's and they were delicious. Formula Espresso also has a small wine selection, we picked up a bottle so we could have a drink in our room before dinner while taking in the incredible view. While we were touring the hotel, someone stopped by and dropped off some chocolates which paired perfectly with the bottle of red we picked up and it made for a great pre-dinner snack. The hotel restaurant is called Explorers Lounge and it has a bit of a safari feel to it which matches the global feel of the menu. We started with apps and shared the Thai Chicken Tower which had the most delightful peanut sauce. I'm a sucker for peanut sauce and I couldn't get enough of this dish. We also tried the Sonesta Grilled Beef Turnover which I think was my favorite bite of the evening. The grilled steak was griddled in a tortilla with onions and cheese and served with a creamy, spicy sauce. It was a great way to start the meal. For our entrees, my girlfriend went with the Steak Diane. The grilled sirloin was served with onions and tomatoes over a creamy risotto. This was the ultimate steak dinner and she loved every bite. I ordered the Grilled Crusted Pacific Salmon. The dish was so fresh and light and I was crazy about the citrus butter sauce. Another great dish. After dinner, we enjoyed some of the chocolates that the hotel sent over and the bottle of wine we picked up. We also filled out the room service breakfast card because there truly is nothing better than breakfast in bed. I did make it a point to wake up early to catch the sunrise over the harbor which was truly stunning. When breakfast came, it was a delicious spread of all of our breakfast favorites. We decided to share a little bit of everything. It was all delicious but the French Toast really satisfied my sweet tooth. After breakfast, unfortunately it was time to check out. I'm already planning my next trip back to soak in the beautiful views and sample more of their delicious food.
