I was told my 1st appt had to be with Jeffrey Hong NP for intake purposes only to establish primary care. Return visits with Dr Azam were never available. It is impossible to see a doctor here. They seem only to have NP's. I have seen two NP's. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I started seeing Victor Montes who is an NP but calls himself Doctor. He was rude and condescending.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I refused to see him and asked to see someone else. I was referred to Jeffrey Hong.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I made an appointment to see him to get my blood test results, allergy relief and other issues. NO ONE ever asked me after I arrived what I was there for.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A nurse came in and said that Jeffrey ordered a breathing test. After 2 failed attempts, Jeffrey finally comes in the room and says he was going to be "in and out" and to do a breathing treatment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I told him I wanted to discuss other issues with him. He got upset and said "he did not have time to go over a list of items".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got up and left. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I sent a note to the office using their system but have not received a response.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That same evening, I received a summary of my visit. It listed things we NEVER spoke about and NOTHNG about the breathing test or treatment. I would like to make it clear that I have no problems with how I have been treated *medically* by Indus Medical Associates---nor, really, with the medical care I have received occasionally-less-than-charming (but presumably personally frustrated) nurse practioner that I see there. So that's not why I am giving a 1-star "Not Good" review But in terms of how they have handled me legally and ethically? Huge mistake. On their part anyway. If they don't change how they handle me, then I will NOT retract this 1-star "Not Good" review. Because the unwise decision of Indus to co-operate with a rather ridiculous privately-funded attempt to prosecute me for benefits fraud---just because I had not yet disclosed to Indus a change in insurance provider based on the fact that I am legally married to someone prominent enough that he has been threatened with lack of employment if the fact is publicized that he is legally married to another man---is utterly reprehensible. I sure as heck hope that nurse practitioner Cathy Warne R.N. stands up to Indus Medical Associates about this idiotic decision, or she will discover that, in future, she is as unemployable as the Lady who has been orchestrating this idiotic campaign, or the business partners that run this de-facto Pharma Factory, since they are "money-grubbing whores" (to use a phrase from the Oscar-winning best picture "The Departed"). Yes, my soulmate and I are legally married. No, we are not afraid of the consequences of letting the world know this. So I ask that the staff of Indus Medical Associates, who surely review immediately all negative 1-star reviews, please change my marital status in your records to "married" and then please remove my current insurance information as being out-of-date. I am now married and do not want, need, or use MediCal any longer. If you wish to be reimbursed for any financial claims made by MediCal during the period of time in which I was intimidated into covering up my marital status or using my spouse's insurance, we will reimburse you today, if you like. I took my three boys to this office for the first time for a wellness exam back in September. The staff was completely unprofessional and rude. Dr Parimi was great. He saw two of my three boys. He was very straightforward. No agenda. But Jeffery Hong NP, who saw my youngest 16 year old son was completely out of order with his line of questioning. I found out later that his is an adult gerontologist. Why would he be seeing my 16 year old?? He asked my son his gender. He asked my son if he liked girls, boys or other. He asked my son what gender he thinks about in his "___al" fantasies. Wait. What the? I was beside myself. I was trying to process what was happening. I told Hong, "Wait, the other doctor didn't ask these questions!" He replied it was to help my son. I said how does that help? Hong then looks at my son and asked if he felt more comfortable with me being out of the room. My son looked confused and embarrassed, but said yes. Then I was escorted to the lobby like a criminal by this man who calls himself a doctor. I was completely bewildered and offended. After I got my bearings back I stormed back into the patient room where my son was and ended the appointment. I pulled my son out of that room and had him wait outside. I asked the front desk why the NP would ask those questions? Her answer was that they ask them for the government. I said that it was not appropriate. She didn't have anything to say. I was so offended. I wrote a letter of complaint to the insurance carrier that my boys use, but they didn't do anything about it. In fact, they made their notes with the wrong doctor as the accused. What a horrible experience for both my son and myself. I would never recommend this office to anyone with children or anyone else for that matter. They treated my boys like adults by having them sign paperwork and give their phone number and email. They didn't want anything from me. I'm their mother and guardian. They are under 18! I know my rights! That is ridiculous! Dr. Parimi should find another practice because he was very good, but the rest of the staff had no bedside manner. I hope this helps someone else thinking about coming here for medical care. Don't. There are lots of other practices out there. read more

I been with pain in my bones for 3 months and all they did was prescribed me with antibiotics that only where killing my stomach.. even is your dying they wont send you to do real exams to see what you really have . All I needed was vitamin D and calcium. If they would have done xrays and blood work they would have seen that . They dont care aboit your health . Dr Hong and Dr parimi are the worst . Had my 1st appointment here and staff was very friendly and time for waiting in lobby and for the Dr was quick which i loved. Usually any medical office you have to wait for a long time not only that medical offices are not thorough and take the time to address your concerns and that was a bonus for me here with Indus Medical Associates because it was the opposite of what I am use to receiving during medical visits. My visit with Dr. Catherine Warne was great i felt comfortable and was acknowledged about my issues and overall the visit didnt feel rushed which was very pleasant. Highly glad that my health is being taken over by this place because i already trust it and all it took was one visit! Thank you staff and Dr for making my visit pleasant. I recently saw Dr Montes and he's great among other providers. I like that they can see me on the day off when I call and I'm need.

I was a patient of Dr Thakur for about a year and a half. I never met her until the 3rd visit when I finally asked to! You will almost always see her PA's or NP's. (whatever they are) and they are constantly changing! As are her nurses and pretty much all staff. Huge turnover! I have a thyroid condition and sleep apnea. I told her about my thyroid condition and that it had to be monitored. She was not doing the proper blood work and it got out of control around the end of last summer. I requested she do a full thyroid panel and sure enough it was off again. This time, it was almost uncontrollable. ( mine is overactive) She freaked out and sent me to a cardio dr. because my heart rate was high.(even though I told her it was due to my thyroid being high) She also sent me to an endocrinologist and admitted she was not comfortable treating me. She didn't seem to know much about it. I was fine with that. So I am now only seeing her for my annual testing referrals (mamo, pap etc) and if I get a cold or something. And most of the time, I don't even see her, as I mentioned before. I got a call the other day from my insurance company informing me that Dr Thakur sent them a letter DROPPING me as a patient and I will have to find another doctor. WHAT? WHEN? What the? WOW!!To say I was shocked is an understatement. What did I do? I do whatever she instructs me to. I am kind and listen to her. I was so upset. Why wasn't I told of this when I was there 2 weeks ago? Why didn't she at least send me a letter? I had an appointment the day before that I had to reschedule, and still no mention of any of this! So I call the office and a new girl answers (not a surprise). She looks in my file and says she doesnt see anything that would alert her of this being accurate and asks to call me back after she speaks with the doctor. Hours pass and nothing! Finally, after the whole day goes by Dr Thakur calls me and tells me that basically I am being dropped because I have too many complicated health issues. What? Are you serious? Apparently, there is a "mix" of patients (according to her)...easy and complicated and I fall into the "complicated" category. Due to another patient in this "category" causing her problems (no idea what that meant) she wants to make sure she gets rid of me so I never cause her any problems! She said I am very nice and a good patient but she thinks I would be better treated by someone else. After picking my jaw up off the floor from PURE SHOCK, I started remembering how she always mentioned "guidelines" and how "They" are imposing all kinds of boundaries on her and she has to be so careful. She is always saying how she is afraid to get in trouble or sued. So what I got out of this was *I* am being punished for someone else going after her or causing her issues. Plain and simple. I just don't understand how a thyroid problem is too complicated, especially when she isn't even the one treating it anymore. My advice to you would be look elsewhere! Find a CONFIDENT doctor! One that won't drop you for being sick. I have NEVER been dropped by a doctor. Nor done anything that would cause them to drop me. My God! This woman has serious issues. She lacks confidence and education. She is incompetent and seriously needs to get her practice in order. I can't keep track of how many changes in staff there have been over the course of a year. Dr. Thakur and her staff are unprofessional. Been a patient over a year never once have I seen her. I've only talk to her by phone. They messed up on my ultrasound order and refused to assist Desert Advanced imaging to fix it. I was there for over an hour waiting for Dr to get on the phone to give a verbal correction over phone. Had to come back next day to finish ultrasound. Dr was supposed to call me that day no call. Finally a day later she calls saying she was busy with clients and was unable to call me, she then said you need to find another doctor. She is never in the office her NP is the one seeing clients and her staff is running a muck atthe front desk laughing not doing a thing to help patients. Totally the worst experience I've had with a doctor's office. read more

Dr Azam and his NP Cathy Warne are a great team. My husband needs coordinated care so his case is managed more by the Dr, and I usually see the Nurse. They are both good listeners but wont be 'conned' into doing anything other than their best judgement. A large Staff means spending less than an hour in the office. I don't care for a third of them, another third I Adore, and the last third stay at their desks. It is difficult at times to get a live person on the phone, but not difficult to get an appointment. I have recently transferred my disabled adult son to this group, and feel assured he will receive the best service. read more
