I opened a business banking account and was told that there was no minimum requirement balance for the account only to discover that I've been charged a service charge for being below the minimum amount on my business bank account, that I was told that there was no minimum monthly required balance for therefore I shouldn't be getting charged this fee! This does not make me happy that I've been lied to as a small business owner. This is now the 2nd time I've had a bad experience in how I've been treated as a small business owner by this credit union, where I've been a long time member! read more

April the manager in my town bank was rude, condescending, and unprofessional! we have banked with ICU for over decades and this new manager has been a nightmare. They need to hire folks that care about their business and wants to keep members happy. They not only have been rude, they accused my 83 year old father of lying and being dishonest! Took out an auto loan through Industrial Credit Union, and have had nothing but hassles since. Today I called knowing I was behind by one payment (not typical of me) to let them know I would be making it right in a couple days. Just to find out they lost a payment from August. It is on my bank statement, but apparently they have no record of it. Then gave me a "tough luck" attitude. Sure it's only 12 1/2 hours of my life YOU lost. It has been such a frustrating experience, and I am looking forward to the day, I will know longer be doing business with them. read more

Terrible credit union, for several reasons. They do a hard pull on your credit when you open an account for no reason, without making that clear. Then they try to sell you a loan to fix the situation. This is borderline extortion. Their app is horribly insecure, in fact all the online banking is. They want multiple people to use the same login, with no regard for the security problems that creates. Imagine if you had a personal and a business account, a signer on only your personal account would have access to both, so since they would be using your account. Employees are not sympathetic to these issues at all. Bank managers are very rude on the phone when legitimate concerns are brought up. Sending emails to the official channels on their website is ignored. Dont bank here, and if you have, check your credit report. Dispute their bogus hard pulls with the credit agencies. read more

You'd be better off using a different bank. They will continually hit you with fees even when it's their fault and you've informed them of the situation. They don't communicate internally causing this havoc. Good luck if you decide to use them! I will never use this bank again. read more

I'm not a member of this credit union, but fortunately, Industrial Credit Union is a member of a group of credit union institutions around the US, so it was able to handle my deposit transaction for the credit union I belong to in Hawaii. The branch was located in a Fred Meyer which probably makes it convenient for most who come to do their shopping. On the downside, the parking lot was very full, even on a Tuesday mid-morning. Despite this, I was the first person in line. With two tellers working, the line moved quickly. This was the first time I had tried to do a transaction at one of the shared branches. It seemed it might be a rather new experience for my teller too, but she had no problem completing the transaction. Bring identification and your account number, and you should have no issues. If I were to move to Bellingham, I would seriously consider transferring my money here. read more

Awful credit union to finance with. They will not budge on ridiculous fees when they weren't the consumers fault. No compromising at all. I suggest you go through BECU. They are a much better option as they actually will work with you. read more

Best bank I have ever had the pleasure of banking with. I visit the Barkley branch more often they quickly started remembering me by name which gave me a welcoming feeling. Also years later they are the only one who helped me finance a brand new car. I've had many loans for cars with other banks and never defaulted on payments but I was really impressed they really took care of us and accepted this most recent car financing when other banks I had reputations with for being outstanding with payment history denied me. I'd LOVE to give zero stars, that's what this credit union deserves. It has been ridiculous forever and when the new President came this year I'd hoped to have this change. Nope. We have had in the last 6 months, a teller explain that we couldn't take $1500 out of our own savings account because if daily limits (this was at the branch, not an ATM) was made to go to another branch and withdraw the money after the teller there explained that was the wrong info. We have had repeated fraudulent charges that we actually took care of clearing up except one that I spent over 2 hours getting that fixed at a branch only to have the charge reappear. When I called they said they didn't think it was fraudulent and the girl I talked to said "well, he was new so he didn't know what he was doing", we had our card declined for a small amount just today and when we called the bank they couldn't understand why. We have a mortgage through ICU which we should have changed and we get a letter at least every other month saying that since our home insurance didn't exist they were adding insurance and charging us. Fun fact, we have ALWAYS had insurance and I have personally taken our policy proof to them as well as sent them copies of it for their record. When I tried to close our business account that my husband and I are both on and opened together, the teller refused to allow me to do that because I wasn't on it, even though I have the paperwork! We, no joke, go into a branch with an account issue weekly. Soooooo frustrating. How is this credit union even in business anymore. Going to Walmart is far less frustrating. Wake up ICU. I wish I could find contact info for the new President, but he's smart and hiding. read more

Usurious greedy credit union that will clear debits first and then apply your credit, often last, while running the morning ACH. They take a hard line on zero accountability or order of debits/credits processing. Simply will state robotically, "we have no control of the order things come through" and make an exorbitant amount on fees from their customer. They have made a small fortune off of me. I've been a member going on 8 years and when I have time I'm simply going to move my checking elsewhere. I only stick with them out of convenience and have nothing but contempt for this financial institution and it's Organizational Values. read more

ICU has not only been a great place to bank, with 0 hassles, they have gone above and beyond. I didn't have to make my car payment in December because they wanted to give me extra money for Christmas. I had a little baby boy a few weeks back and today I received a letter from Liz at the Fred Meyer branch on Bakerview, she was telling us congratulations on our son and she included an ICU onesie. I wish I could give them no stars, I really do. I have never had so many problems with a bank/credit union or had so much time wasted by business policies that they insist are "to protect you". They perpetually treat online purchases as "suspicious". So, in order to get your purchases through you have to call the fraud department and verify your activity. Their online access is the biggest pain in a** that I can imagine. And don't even try to deposit a check. Their questions just make me wonder why I'm there. (which I won't be any longer) "Do you know the person who wrote this check?" - really. How many people have someone they don't know give them a check? Is this something that happens frequently? Are there specific places you can go so people just walk up and hand you money? "Have you received a check from xxxx before?" "We'll have to get a copy of the previous check before we can deposit this one?" I can't wait to see what they ask me when I go in to close my accounts. read more

These people are crooks and run a scam shop. I got a car loan thru them and on multiple occasions have furnished proof of insurance effective the date the vehicle was purchased. They have either refused to accept my proof of insurance or ignored the many copies that were sent to them. 5 months after I got the loan and sent several copies of proof of insurance they added $1600.00 to the loan to "pay for insurance". Why was my existing insurance coverage ignored? They are impossible to deal with and will not even listen and examine the facts. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!! read more
