He absolutely saved me this week…read more My Lenovo laptop completely failed to boot after a graphics driver cleanup utility corrupted the Windows boot configuration and recovery environment. The system was stuck in a recovery loop, BitLocker was triggered, and Windows wouldn't load or even reliably enter repair mode. Multiple shops I called said it would take several days just to diagnose the issue. Matt turned it around in essentially one day. He was able to manually access the system, unlock BitLocker, repair the corrupted boot configuration, rebuild the necessary Windows files, and get the machine fully operational again -- without wiping my data. That was critical, as I had local files that weren't backed up to the cloud. The issue was that even though I had a McAfee VPN, the malware had created a entryway and prevented the complete McAfee suite of products from loading. He downloaded some recommended applications, quarantined the malware which enabled me to complete the security installation. I plan to use his assistance again on a project I have coming up in spring and am strongly recommending A&O Computer Plus!

He asked me a few questions and then told me how I could go about fixing the problem by getting an inexpensive device from a computer store. Rather than taking my computer and doing a fairly expensive fix the man helped me get my problem fixed in less than 30 minutes for $30. I will 100% use Triple Check Techs for all of my computer repairs in the future.

It sounds like the business is run out of the various techs' houses; they prefer to pick up your computer and the fee for doing so ($69) is applied to the service. Tim came by a little later than he'd said (well, it was a Saturday) and was polite and professional. He called Monday with a price; computer was repaired the next day and dropped off where I work. There's a 30-day warranty for most work. Included in the $190 or so price: removing a virus, providing advice on how I got it, a reminder that our internet provider gives customers free antivirus software, a complimentary data backup, and pickup/dropoff. Hope I won't be back soon, but I'll call these folks again if I have troubles. Checks and credit cards OK.

I had initially taken…read moreit to my local repair shop that is an HP repair shop and I don't think they knew what to do with an inkpad replacement (they weren't able to reset the electronic counter right, since it went off again shortly after). Cheryl checked the inkjet pad but more importantly tried to see if the main black lines for the printer could be revived after they were probably clogged with using unreliable black pigment ink. She was informed in talking about the printer which encouraged me to pickup another one used and stop using bulk black pigment ink in a refillable cartridge (but I still do with dye ink for the colors and photo black.)
