The exterior boasts of beautiful murals, colorful and bright. As soon as I walked in, I was impressed with the atmosphere. All of the modern decor, lots of little things to shop for (by local vendors), a handful of tables to sit at and enjoy food/drink, and a friendly face at the register ready to check you in. I brought both my boys, 3.5 and 1.5 years old, and they had a blast. We booked a slot online ahead of time, which was very easy to do and came with a text & email reminder. When we showed up we paid for our entry ($11/kid for an hour) along with a latte for myself. I could not resist, given the drink options sounds darn good. And let me tell ya, the 'born to be wildberry shaken espresso' is something I need in my regular caffeine rotation!! As for the play area, I thought it was great! Plenty of space for kids of all ages. There were structures to climb, costumes to dress up in, blocks to stack, musical instruments to play, trucks & cars galore, and beyond. Oh and comfy couches for the moms/dads/caretakers to get comfy. All in all, a beautiful and safe place for littles to play! Also awesome: they host workshops, classes, storytimes, and other groups for parents and kids to get involved in. Unfortunately we live a tad out of reach for regular enough visits, but I'd imagine their membership is something worth looking into. I think what I appreciated most was was how community-centered Little Village feels. From the staff to the friendly moms & dad visiting, it was a vibe. Can't go wrong with a visit here!

We always take a trip up to the Pilot House and then outside onto the high deck for terrific views of the lake, SF grounds, and everything else in the harbor (including a Milwaukee Fire Dept. fireboat). Staff are always welcoming and so very attentive to the children. We always make a stop at the food kiosk to get a snack (a selection of the usual packaged snack foods along with hot dogs and pizza). My biggest complaint is how slow and long the check-in process is. There's usually only one person at the check-in desk, and many days there need to be two. There's a line for members, but unless there are two staff members at the desk, what difference does it make? We waited with everyone else today, which makes having a membership feel like less of a great thing. But there still needs to be a quicker process. Today while I was at the front desk I watched a woman purchase tickets online, and even that was such a long and involved process I think i would've quit and gone home.

There are plenty of hands-on activities throughout for all ages and exhibits highlighting local individuals and companies as well. It's hard to say what my favorite area was because I enjoyed everything, but the aquariums, weather/ storm area and the corporate exploration station stick out in my mind as where I had the most fun personally. We didn't shop around the food or gift shop area but that could be an area we explore more next time. I have an older son and an infant/toddler. Often times at most places I would get nervous that my older one would be too big and hurt the young ones or my little one would have nothing to do. This is the best for both worlds. 2) Play for every kid. I said this initially but there are a variety of toys that will peak your little one's interest or curiosity which is perfect for problem solving and imagination 3) The indoor play space is a perfect size - not too big where you will lose your kids inside and it's CLEAN. It you are a 90s kid and remember Chucky Cheese play gyms being the best thing - this is way better and will give you the mental ease that your children are safe. I had been looking forward to taking my nephew to Slick City for a year or more. Timing finally…read moreworked out and we went on a Friday afternoon in summer. I was shocked when I pulled in the parking lot and there were only a handful of cars. When we went in, the place is pretty large, but felt a little empty. There were about 10 slides, a basketball court, and mini go karts. I thought I read online that the go karts were included with admission, but then there were signs saying you needed to buy a wristband. There was no worker in that area and nobody used them during our time there. The slides were fun until you reached the bottom. When the slide ended, you slid onto a rubber mat on most slides. My neck was starting to hurt after a few slides due to the jolt from hitting the rubber mat. I don't recommend for adults. I stopped after about 5 slides. My nephew who is 12 also complained that it hurt. It was really exhausting climbing up all the stairs to get up to the slides. Also, some of the slides and ceiling fans were dusty. Sad to say it was disappointing and I don't plan on coming back.

My little guy is only three, so as much as he'd like to act tough and go explore inside alone, he did need me to go with him. So many fun obstacles, slides, ramps, and blocks to enjoy. Endless entertainment and a great way for kiddos to burn some energy. This place seems great for birthday parties or large gatherings. It's also super clean which I was impressed by. Hand sanitizer available all over, too. It would be great if they had "membership" type options, or a yearly pass. Look forward to our next visit.
