Visited Denise about a month ago for chakra activation, acupuncture, and cupping, and I'm still buzzing from my treatment with her! I was having extremely severe nerve pain in my neck/shoulder/back and Denise was the only person who really acknowledged and understood my pain and made me feel heard. This review is long overdue. I've been a migraine sufferer for over 10 years. I would find temporary relief with medications. I was very limited in what I could enjoy outdoors, the sun was my enemy. I was very saddened when my excellent holistic doctor, Drew Nystrom relocated out of Advanced Wellness. After he left I had a literal nightmare of 3 horrendous doctors. 2 misdiagnosed my GI condition (after complications from Nora) as SIBO giving me herbs that made the condition worse The 3rd helped but had a nasty 'bed side manner" By divine appoint I found DENISE ESTRADA of Healing Sound Acupuncture and instantly felt at home. Denise is by far one of the very best acupucturists/Chinese herbalists and music therapists I have ever met. (and as a hypnotherapist myself I know most of the practitioners from LA down to San Diego). DENISE radiates health, light and love. She is a caring doctor who listens to her patients and gets to the root of the issue. Her office at GO INWARD is a sacred healing space with stunningly beautiful examining rooms with heated tables, salt lamps, soothing aromatherapy, immaculately clean bathrooms right next door and soothing music therapy. Her office feels like a 5 star spa and not a generic cold medical facility. Denise gave me the best cupping sessions I ever had. I can't tell you the aggravation I had in the past of practitioners who did not know how to cup properly scorching my back hairs or cups that fell off where I was charged a whopping $95 for a treatment that didn't work. IN CONTRAST DENISE IS THE BEST! Wow, I got over 1 hour treatment for $20 less than most practitioners. Truly exceptional. She is good about getting you in for appts, returning calls and ordering herbs quickly. She is an educated healer continuing to study and grow in her practice. I admire this. I'm a a music/singing coach and so I love that includes music therapy in her practice. I came to Denise for help regulating my painful menstrual cycle. Every month I'd have severe cramping, bloating and sometimes have to take a day off work because I was so uncomfortable. I'd gotten used to popping over-the-counter painkillers all day for at least the first three days of my cycle. Denise is amazing! I highly recommend her 90 minute session with sound bath, cupping and acupuncture. I felt transported into another realm. All her sessions are great though. Denise is such an amazing Acupuncturist. She has a heart of Gold which you can feel through her hands during her Acupuncture / bodywork sessions. I came to see her because of a pain in my right shoulder which had been present for 3 weeks. I believe I injured myself from overuse? She was able to trace the muscle pain to its origin through talk & touch. Once she found out what was going on she proceeded to deliver a true healing experience with her knowledge of the body paired with traction, light massage, cupping & acupuncture. She stayed in the room working on me for most of the 90 min session. I'm so use to acupuncturist putting in needles, leaving the room for 15 mins, coming back in, repeat the process, then sell me some herbs and say come back next week :( Denise was the complete opposite. I felt her intention was to heal me in one session. I felt my session with her was tailored to my injury. I felt SO much better after the session. I brought my 71 yes old mom to see Denise for an acupuncture treatment for Mom's sciatica and a case of arthuritis in her shoulder. Denise Thank you for being an integral part of my "Surgery Recovery - Superwoman-Style" Program. My plan worked! When it became apparent that I needed surgery to remove the almost 6 lbs. of tumors growing in my belly, I knew I needed help to recover in time to enjoy my vacation scheduled for less than three weeks after surgery. We devised a plan where my first appointment for acupuncture was scheduled 48 hours after surgery (while still in the hospital) and we continued three times a week for three weeks. With you contribution, my Superwoman recovery has been even better than I "planned". Off all pain medications with 10 days. Back to work 1/2 day on day 11 post-surgery.
