Years back my spiritual teacher told me to try acupuncture when I was ready to quit smoking. Well, I wish I also had good things to say about Cheryl, but unfortunately I do not. My experience with her was not like the other Yelpers! I found her beliefs about health and nutrition to be outdated. She was not empathic or compassionate at all (ice queen comes to mind). In fact, Cheryl refused to discuss the main reason I went to see her instead deciding to lecture me about another topic altogether. I've seen other acupuncturists in the past but Cheryl is my favorite. She really takes the time to get to know you, your health history, what you're eating and your health goals. She is so passionate about what she does and is a wealth of health knowledge. I've been seeing her since last summer to get my body ready for a baby. I started seeing Cheryl several years ago for a pain in my shoulder. None of the other doctors I had been to had been able to do anything but mask the pain. One treatment from Cheryl and pain was gone the next morning. Amazing! More recently I had been having some trouble with migraines. Cheryl's advice on diet and herbal supplements has really made my migraines much more manageable. I don't get them very often anymore. I know many people are afraid of needles. I can't say that I blame them. But the needles used for acupuncture are really thin and are painless (for the most part). If you're thinking about it, you owe it to yourself to give it a try! Dr. Cheryl is AMAZING!!! I have been going to her since January of this year, for high blood sugar issues. Not only has my blood sugar gone down, I have also been learning a lot about my body from her treatments.
