I don't even know where to begin with this review. I went with Ran because a friend had recommended him. The entire experience was a nightmare. For starters, his original excavator canceled, so he got someone else to come last minute. My pool was supposed to be 7' deep, it's barely 6' The water line should be 6' from the patio pillars and it's 7' The entire backyard was supposed to be totally flat, but because the pool wasn't dug deep enough, he had to add this tiny step up to the pool deck, which is not only uneven, but has been tripped over multiple times. We wanted to fire him midway through, but went through pool financing and since so much money had already been sent to Ran we felt stuck! The back wall had exposed plumbing for the spillways, and he was just going to leave them that way! The city wouldn't sign off on the pool till he encased them. First big rain, water came up to back door because the pavers were done wrong. Next big rain, pool overflowed because they forgot to install an overflow in pool. After the pool was done I received court paperwork to testify from one of the companies he used. The pool has been nothing but problems. I can't seem to find a pool service who can properly service it as nothing seems to work right. I then contacted Ran to get the plumbers info, thinking the plumber might be able to help my pool service in the workings of the pool. The plumber told be he would not come out as he had never been paid for the job! About a year in, one of the jets stopped working in the jacuzzi. We've just been ignoring that, as Ran was so rude during the entire process, what would be the point. I'm writing this review today because I asked my pool man why there is this crazy buildup on the wall between the jacuzzi and pool. He said that he's sure it's a leak! Ironically, that's exactly where the jacuzzi jet isn't working. Through all of this, we thought about suing, but his bond is so low, it wouldn't cover our trouble or any of the repairs needed. read more

The edges of our pool started to crack, so we called Ran for a quote. From the beginning, you can tell he was sincere and wasn't trying to upsell anything. He understood that we didn't want to invest a lot of money since we're planning on selling the house in the next few years. He gave us various cost-effective options to consider. Gio and his team went beyond our expectations with our backyard and driveway project. We are so in love with our new driveway and backyard. Ran is a stand up guy who will do the right thing by you and who stands up for the quality of his work. He is incredibly patient and customer service oriented. Infinity recently completed a comprehensive backyard project for me including an ipe wood fence atop a stucco wall, very complex TimberTech deck surrounding a large in ground zero edge gunnite spa, outdoor kitchen, patio, porch, smooth stucco on all rear facing house walls, gas lines, electrical work, and installation of a restaurant grade ceiling mounted radiant heater. Infinify worked with me iteratively and quickly on the design, including 3D renderings and a virtual 360 degree walk through completed in only a couple of weeks. They stuck to their estimate with only a couple of minor change orders along the way, which were fairly priced. Ran even helped me find/source finishing materials. He and his team also worked well with my landscape architect and her crew to coordinate on placement of irrigation and gas lines plus low voltage lines for lighting. Got a call back for an estimate for a large job to redesign our back yard. Was told would not come on weekends and both husband and wife needed to be there. After explaining our work schedule and that we couldn't be home until 6-7pm during the week, and that weekends were really the best option, there was silence. Despite the large scope and budget of the project, Ran was unwilling to come look at the area, and was rather gruff about the whole conversation. Ran and Gio are miracle workers!!! They transformed our ugly, outdated (circa 1975) pool and backyard to a beautiful, modern and functional space that the entire family is now enjoying daily! We were very impressed with their professionalism, friendliness, creativity and project management skills throughout the entire job. They put in a lot of time up front to make sure they understood our budget and requirements (must- haves and nice-to-haves) and were very fair and reasonable when we requested a scope change midway through (which involved increasing the size of the new jacuzzi to a much larger footprint than initially planned, taking advantage of what otherwise would have been wasted space). They worked very well with the city on obtaining permits and passing inspections and finished the job within the agreed upon timeframe and budget (despite a more rainy than usual winter and during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic). I called to get an estimate for a pool remodel and repair. I spoke to Ran, who seemed to be rushed. I explained the project and he said he would get back to me later that day to set up appt. He never called. He did call the following day, and did not want to provide an estimate unless my husband was going to be there. I find this insulting. Does he know it is 2017, not 1950. My husband travels 3 weeks/month and I am the decision maker. What about single women? Seriously? I told him after asking that question, he probably wasn't the right contractor for me. The service and quality work that others mentioned receiving is not the case for my husband and I. All of the gentlemen that came to work at my home were always very kind to me. Even though Ran was nice, he was unprofessional and did not deliver the product in full the way my husband and I had hoped. The project took twice as long as quoted and we had to offer assistance or ask them to redo projects all along the way. I am not overly picky but I do expect to see work that looks high quality for the money. Although they left cement all over the side of our home and garage, we decided to pay them so we could cut ties and hired another contractor to help us clean it up. We subscribed to Angie's list and will be more through in the selection process in the future. If you are looking for modern, beautiful and easy, do not hire Infinity Construction. read more

Was referred to Ran, owner, for a consultation to redo my backyard. He came by and saw the project and provided a visual design for the yard very quickly. That sold me, in addition to his estimate and ideas, I was very happy. We decided on new landscape, redo pool, add a spa, and a lot of hardscape around the backyard. A big project for anyone. We chose infinity construction to re-do our pool and patio area after interviewing several other construction companies. They have done a 3D conceptual design that allowed us to choose our pavement out of a few different options. They were always very responsive and professional when different questions came up. Got a call back for an estimate for a to redesign our back yard including new pool installation. Ran was very vague and short in his review of the space. Considering the space has multiple levels and the concept we mentioned to him not once did he pull out measuring tape, or give me an option of placement of items such as pool equipment. He simply showed some pictures, wrote down numbers based off of what (i dont know since he didnt measure anything or ask for the size i wanted). He just eyeballed it and then said it would be $2500 for a 3D design. It is understood that a design fee is a part of the process but first there is a preliminary rough idea concept created... and he cared nothing about that. Considering he was the third pool contractor, he was by far the worst and I have no faith or trust that they wouldn't be the kind of company to place multiple change orders during the process to rack up the cost. I received preliminary walk throughs from Aloha Pools in Glendora and JHJ Construction & Home Design who both took the time to measure explain some options and the differences. they asked me about what we may want and gave there opinions as well. They provided a rough number then explained the next steps of a 3d design with fee of course and so on. They made sense and seemed to want the business. read more

We knew what we wanted, but not where everything should go. Ran has a computer program that he used to design our entire backyard. His company was easy to work with, he always kept me informed as to what was going on. His crew showed up every day on time, and would sometimes work weekends and a little after dark. They came out,showed us similar projects they have done and then we decided to get a design from them so we can see how the yard is going to look like. After some modifications of the design and permits from the city we started the project. I made an appointment for Tony to come by for an estimate. He called me the night before to confirm my appointment and i was out of town and was unable to confirm. I called him at 8:30am and asked if he was still coming between 10-11 as i missed his call. He said no. I also work in the service industry and i never give away an appointment when my client does not confirm. This is the least of my issues with Tony. We then reschedule and he calls me back to ask me if my husband will be home during our appointment. I said no because he will be working. Then he says that he would rather my husband be home because his partner wants to come with him and wants to maximize their time with us because he knows that my husband will have so many questions. I offered to write down all of my husband's questions and relay them to him and his partner during our scheduled appointment. He said his partner will probably not come because he won't feel like they will be maximizing their time without my husband present. I said maybe i am not the best customer for you because you need my husband to be here for the estimate. Talk about sexism. What if I didn't even have a husband? What if i am a lesbian? Single mom? Jeez. I also asked him how much a crane would cost if they had to lift equipement into our yard and he said he had no idea and asked me to look it up myself. He then quoted me $90,000-$100,000 without even looking at our home and said that if anyone offers cheaper they are lying. read more

When we bought our new home earlier this year, it had an unfinished three level concrete hole in the hillside ground which had been left dormant for over 12 years. Our job was a 12 foot panoramic door (outer wall demo, framing), deck and pergola. It's hard to describe my experience with Ran because I find it's mixed with fondness and frustration. Ran is very friendly and very responsive. He'll answer texts immediately and stop by the job frequently. This goes a long long way when compared to other contractors we've worked with. The final product looks good. It was a long process to get there. And that's the real issue. The project took about 3 times the quoted length. Every small part took multiple days when it was said it would take 1. We approved a 3d design in CAD before the project was started and that was it. I was never asked to sign off on a blueprint or anything official before work started. Because of that.. our 12 foot door was installed 1 foot in the wrong direction. Our pergola was "redesigned" to fit new specs from the city, but we weren't consulted. We didn't know anything about this until the pergola was built. We despised it, and had them take it down. This extended the project by many days and caused lots of frustration. To make amends, I tried low-balling a small demo / haul-away job for a brick BBQ pit. He wouldn't accept, which was disappointing, then started the job anyway while I was at work. (???) This was a misunderstanding, but has left a demo site in my backyard where the BBQ pit was half destroyed. We refused to pay for that work, and with a little resistance he conceded and hauled away the rubble for free. Ran removed a seemingly fair portion of the cost of the pergola from the total bill without any fight. This was refreshing, but honestly we were looking for a bit more. If he had given us an actual discount worth mentioning, we might look at the project more favorably since we are pretty reasonable people. Even though the job looks fine and Ran was a pleasure to interact with, I can't recommend Infinity Construction. read more

This contractor's conduct is unprofessional. He was hired to do a pool, irrigation and driveway remodel. Part of the pool remodel included pool plumbing & paver decking. During the pool remodel portion, his crew drove a Bobcat over existing and newly installed pool plumbing causing damages to plumbing. He promised to repair damages before laying new paver decking. Sixty days after the completion of the project, the pool plumbing began leaking where the Bobcat had driven and pool water was constantly filling due to pool water leaking. Contractor refused to respond to my attempts at contact to fix this issue. Clearly he had not repaired all of the damages done by the Bobcat. I had to fix the flooding issue with a third independent Pool Leakage Company which cost $2395.00. Even though this contractor was paid promptly throughout the project, he used intimidation tactics to force earlier than terms of the contract payments. He became enraged, shouted and made very sarcastic comments when questioned why he made some minor changes to the job and had the wrong address on the permit. He threatened to abandon the project and eventually discontinued any communication before rectifying the pool light which his crew "blew out" during installation. He unprofessional. He claims 100% satisfaction guaranteed in his advertising. Beware, this contractor does not guarantee his work and is unprofessional in his client handling. read more

We used Infinity Construction for our large backyard renovation. We met with a number of contractors and Ran was the most knowledgeable and experienced out of all of them. He was able to clearly envision what our backyard could be and provided great ideas. He took our wish list and developed a plan within our budget. Within a week, we had a 3D rendering of what our renovated backyard would look like and I must say, it looks identical! They secured all permits for the work. We replastered our pool, added a spa, added pool equipment and plumbing, created a custom outdoor kitchen, installed a fire pit, installed pavers throughout, and added outdoor lighting. It was important for us to stay within the budget as we've done many renovations over the years where we end up paying more than the contractor proposed with things that were overlooked on the front end. Ran provided a cost for the project and actually came under budget, working diligently to find ways to save us money throughout the project. His team of workers were professional, experienced and a pleasure to have on our property. They left our property tidy and cleaned up daily before leaving which is an issue we've had with all contractors in the past. Even after the project was completed and last payment submitted, we had trouble with an appliance and asked for something to be changed and they were more than happy to help us and ensure that we were satisfied.
