Excellent service, patio pavers installed at speedy three days time and lowest cost among multiple competing contractors. Highly recommended.

Beautiful new walkway to our guest house.

Mark Ovitch and Eminent Construction are the best! My husband and I got 3 estimates to redo our concrete driveway which was being destroyed by tree roots. Then we got Mark's estimate to install pavers instead of concrete. It was less expensive to do pavers, and it looks so much nicer!!! We were also able to install a front walkway, which I've been wanting for more than 25 years. His workers are very professional, and the project was completed in 3 days!! Mark goes above & beyond to make his clients happy and to do a good job at a very affordable price. Highly recommended!

I honestly couldn't be happier with my new driveway! From start to finish Mark was courteous, professional and always on hand to answer questions or make adjustments. Santiago, Omar and the crew were respectful, hardworking (good Lord they put in long days to finish on time) and above all craftsmen of the highest order. The old blacktop looked awful but now the side of my house is transformed. The fee was the fee, no hidden extras and they regularly kept me informed on progress. Then, the final icing on the cake, their clean up game was outstanding. The place is immaculate. I even saw one of the lads using a leaf blower to clean any dust off all the cars on our street! I'd highly recommend Mark and Eminent Construction and would welcome any questions to check that I'm a genuine and happy customer!

    Our completed new driveway.

Eminent construction just finished replacing our original concrete driveway with new pavers. Mark has a fabulous crew of experienced professionals. They were meticulous in every detail of the project, from removing the old driveway to installing the new pavers. My wife and I could not be happier with our new driveway. I think it is a work of art and the attention to detail in every aspect shows. Mark always came frequently to make sure we were happy with on-going construction and final result. Yes, Mark, we were! I give them the highest recommendation. Tad

If you are looking to hire company for construction project that requires Quality Work, Timeliness, Professionalism, and Within Budget, hire Eminent Construction. When we planned our pavers project, we called a few contractors; some would come and measure around but would never send any estimate back; some would respond with so high estimate that it wanted to make me laugh; some would respond with not only fair estimate but with good references. Mark is one of the latter such contractors. He didn't do any small talk as he came for estimate. The estimate he gave was one of the best of many we received. We also saw his work around West Hills area and liked what we witness. Furthermore, he is one of the contractors that would bring the sample pavers delivered to your home. Most of them would direct you to go to the only place on earth, the Angelus warehouse & display, in Oxnard where you would see the sample pavers & stones. Mark would recommend a few from the book of Angelus and it would be up to you to decide which you want. No pressure but you need to do your homework, though. You may want to match with your roof color (that's what we did) or fence color, etc.) Eminent construction crew were very professional. They would come on time and clean up promptly and daily. One incident stroke me most was the crew discovered a clean-out drain access hole plug was buried underneath the old concrete slap. It had been buried for over 30 years since we bought the house! Once identified what it was, the crew brought it out (see before and after pix) so that I may have access to it in the future, they made sure we would like it (on the surface) or they would re-bury it under the pavers in a few weeks after the pavers project was concluded! That choice made me feel confident & assuring. What a professionalism attitude! Also, Mark or his project manager, Santiago, would dropped by thru out the day, and Mark was always accessible to answer any questions you may have. Thank you very much, Mark. I would definitely recommend him and his company! Enjoy your new addition or renovation project!

We are so happy with the work that Mark, Santiago and the crew did at our house. After many months of reading hundreds of reviews from many different vendors in LA we decided on five companies ( all 4.5 -5 star reviews ) to meet at the house and get quotes. After meeting Mark in person we decided that Eminent Construction would be the best fit for us. The crew worked incredibly efficiently together completing the whole project in four days. Really hard working crew and lovely guys. As you can see from the photographs the attention to detail and craftsmanship are second to none. We constantly get asked who did our driveway. Can't recommend them enough. Thank you for our beautiful herringbone driveway Eminent!!

Mark was so professional, punctual, communicative, and friendly. His quote was competitive and he took the time to explain the process and materials. The quality of the work done was excellent as well.

    New Driveway

I'm fortunate to have found Mark and his team. I now have a beautiful paver driveway and new sidewalk that has greatly improved the look of my property. My son had used Mark for his driveway so he came well recommended. Mark was very professional and responsive during the entire process. Shout out to his workers who were courteous and did a great job. Give Mark a call. He knows his stuff and his pricing was very competitive!

part of the back patio. lots of details and steps off to the right

Mark the owner and his team did a great job on what I would consider a fairly large and complex job. This covered our entry walkway, pool deck patio and rear patio backyard. Digging up original concrete slab was needed. Good communication and bidding process from Mark was all clear. He answered all my many questions and gave me options as I requested. The work all commenced on schedule and did take a bit longer than originally planned but I was expecting that. No overages for taking longer. I did make some changes along the way and the cost changes were all in line so no surprises there. Mark got a lot of full size samples from the paver vendor we went with delivered which took longer to do but that was the manufacturers delay. This is a super important part of the job to make sure the look and color of what you are thinking works in reality. Brochures always look nice but things are different in person. The job itself has a lot of intricate "cutting" of pavers needed. They worked around the flagstone pool coping only damaging one piece which they repaired. I was expecting more to get damaged as the demo of the concrete slab was a ton of work with a very thick slab with rebar in many places. Dailly clean up was good and they were co-operative in working around our needs since this area was how we need to get in and out of our house, so there was a lot of moving things around to accommodate. The design and laying of the pavers was expertly done. Again many choices on how to lay things out and Mark and his foreman went over several options with us as they were starting to piece it all together. Drains were also put in throughout ( where we did not have any before) and the sloping all worked out well. After our deluge of record rainfall this year water seemed to all go where it needed and the drains made a big difference from what we had before. The one area we didn't put drains in ( my not thinking) is where we needed them so I'd always say the more drains the better especially if you have a large area that is going to have a lot of run-off. We added a sealer to the pavers and im not sure how needed this really is. He originally did not have it in his bid but I wanted it. Mark did warn that even with a sealer they still can get stained and he was right, so keep that in mind. Sealer did however bring out more of the color in the pavers so to me that is actually the best part of it and why I would recommend it. All in all the job turned out fantastic. While pavers are a very expensive thing to do , I know it more than increased the value of our home over what we paid and makes the whole property so much more beautiful to look at and live in.

Our concrete driveway was 35 years old, well-worn and cracked in numerous areas. It was unsightly and detracted from the overall look of the house and yard. It is also over 300 feet long covering 5200 square feet. We decided to have it replaced with pavers along with the walkway to our front door. Once that decision was made we had to figure out the contractor to use and the pavers to use. I got eight bids from small companies, midsized companies and the large national companies. The price difference between the lowest to the highest was $54,000. The two big companies were nearly twice the cost of the lowest ones. I also found that there are different methods of installing the pavers. I have a fairly steep grade on the driveway. One of the large expensive companies wanted to put 22 bolsters on the driveway. Some of the small companies weren't going to install any. The majority were going to install 3 or 4 bolsters. These keep the pavers from sliding down the grade. I ended up contracting with Eminent Pavers owned and operated by Mark (Web Site; eminentpavers.com) (Phone No. 323 842-9464) (Email; eminentconstruction1@gmail.com). Mark has been installing pavers for many years and knows his business. He also has only one crew that is overseen by his foreman, Santiago. Several of the companies I got bids from run several crews. Mark has one crew of extremely hardworking and talented craftsman. He is not overreaching and bringing in labors to operate several jobs at once. Most of Mark's employees have been with him for several years. His foreman, Santiago, has been with him for nearly ten years. Mark's cost for the project was more than fair. He was not the lowest bid, but he did much more than the lowest ones and even more that those big expensive companies. Mark also has an eye for design. Our driveway was not a box. It had curves and sweeps as it flowed to the garage. Mark was on his hands and knees making sure the finish product looked right, and it did. Picking out the right pavers is not an easy task. There are two primary suppliers and numerous colors and designs. One recommendation I have is to drive to the supply house Mark will recommend and look at them in person. The brochure photos don't always look the same in person. Once we had signed the contract we added a planter. Not a problem. Mark gave us a very fair price for the additional work. Mark's did such a great job our daughter had contracted with him to put pavers in at her house and our son is going to get a bid from him for his driveway. I rarely leave reviews. However, Mark, Santiago and the craftsman that completed this project deserve these acylates and thanks.

What used to be an eyesore is now a space that literally makes our neighbors stop and do a double take. From start to finish, the customer service was unmatched. I changed my mind more times than I can count, and Roy was incredibly patient, flexible, and accommodating every step of the way. He really listened to what we wanted (and didn't want) and never pressured us into going over budget. The turnaround time was unbelievable--initial call on Tuesday, site visit Wednesday, and by the following Monday demo had started. The entire project was completed by Saturday! They transformed our lawn and side yard with beautiful artificial turf, planters, and even helped us convert unused space into a functional parking area. What really stood out was the extra care--daily check-ins, thoughtful recommendations, and even helping us pick up plants to save on delivery costs. That level of service is rare these days Their pricing is fair for the quality of work you get--it's absolutely worth it. We're beyond grateful for our new outdoor space. A little backstory...My entire house had been under a massive reconstruction for over a year-and-a-half. During that time the water had to be turned off, killing all of the grass and most of the plants, and turning my entire yard into a dirt lot with overgrown weeds. It was a hot mess. I wanted new drought-resistant plants and artificial grass with a drip system instead of sod grass with a sprinkler system like I had before, but Roy also made some great recommendations that I hadn't even considered. The most significant was replacing my old concrete patio with a bigger patio made of sand-colored pavers. What a difference that made! I couldn't believe that the entire landscaping job was done in just five days, and Roy let me know he was also available afterwards for any questions I might have. Six weeks later, when I had questions about my new drip system controller and wanted to make sure my plants were getting enough water, Roy personally came back out to my house and walked me through all of it. When he left he told me, "Just reach out if you need anything else. I'm here." And Roy means it. He truly wants you to be happy with the work they do and will go the distance to make sure you are. Also, if there is something you'd like done that they don't do (like trimming very tall trees), Roy will have a referral for you. I'm so happy I found Home Sweet Home. Not only did they turn my ugly dirt lot into a beautiful yard again, but it looks 10 times better than it did when I first bought my house in 2007! Thanks, guys!
