Fast forward, my daughter had to have testing done and wasn't able to leave her piercing in. There wasn't an appointment available, so we joined the "waitlist." Within fifteen minutes, we received a text to come on in. Tyler removed her metal jewelry and replaced it with a temporary glass piece. You're probably not going to get a walk in tattoo done here, but walk in to talk to or consult with an artist ahead of time to be sure. The shop itself is in a good location with a decent amount of parking, and inside it is inspiring. There are lots of plants and beautiful art. It is body-positive and woman-positive with more than one woman tattoo artist in residence. The tattoo work areas are separated with short walls and actual doors so privacy is controlled. It also allows each artist to have her own space full of the energy she wants. This part of the shop's design really adds to the experience of being worked on there. It allows the creative energy to bubble around without feeling intrusive or exposed while being worked on. It can also shift during a session - door open or closed. I have two fairly large, artist-original pieces done by Autum McCallister (Lethal Lady). Her work is magical! You can find it on Instagram or Facebook, or stop in to see her. She also does commission pieces (your design). Autum's eye for color, shape, and layout makes for truly gorgeous body art. When I have requested (small) changes to a design, she is thoughtful and takes her time to work through what will work well with the piece and fits with what I like. She'll also make some changes as she works and sees the piece come to life on your body. To top it off, she has a great sense of humor, and we have fun conversations with a lot of laughter. Though I haven't worked with any other artists at this shop, I have listened to them work and seen some of it. Stop in with your idea, and whoever you talk to will either be a good choice or tell you who the right person for your piece would be.

I unfortunately feel the need to write this review because I can't stop thinking about this…read moreinteraction. I originally chose this shop because I trusted they would do a great job. Samantha pierced my nose on December 1, and she also pierced my husband's nose previously. We've both had nothing but positive experiences with her, which makes this even more disappointing. I arrived about 15 minutes early for my appointment because we finished lunch sooner than expected. When I checked in, I specifically said, "We're early, but I have an appointment at 2:45," fully expecting to wait. The response I received was, "Well, we work by appointment, and we're assisting other appointments ahead of you." While that was true, the delivery felt unnecessarily condescending. My husband and I both commented afterward that the interaction immediately felt off. My appointment was simply to check whether my piercing had healed enough for a hoop and if not, to get new jewelry that would be easier to clean than the sparkle I had in. I had already come in a few months earlier to have the post downsized, and at that time I was told it wasn't ready yet and to come back later. During this visit, I explained that I got the piercing on December 1. To which he laughed and I don't understand why. I'm type A and I just know these details and thought I was being helpful by including a little more context. I explained that my goal was eventually to switch to a hoop if it had healed enough. After examining it, he said he would not recommend a hoop yet, which was completely fine--I came in specifically to get professional guidance. He then told me that if he were me, he would stop putting makeup on. I understand that makeup can slow healing, but the way it was communicated came across as judgmental rather than educational. I replied that I wasn't going to stop wearing makeup, and he explained that it would continue to heal more slowly. Fine. I was simply there to check and understand where I was in the process. I know that I'm not the expert, telling me to not wear makeup for months on end is completely unrealistic and I'm sure many women feel the same. I ended up choosing different jewelry instead of a hoop, and he changed it for me. He also took the time to thoroughly explain how to safely change my jewelry myself, which I genuinely appreciated. I'm happy with the new jewelry, the fit, and the information he shared. Unfortunately, the overall attitude throughout the appointment overshadowed those positives. I left feeling uncomfortable rather than cared for. I even chose not to leave a tip, which is very unusual for me because I always tip for services. When I checked out, both staff members were kind and let me know they would be happy to help me change my jewelry in the future if I needed it. I appreciated that, but by then I had already decided I won't return. Feeling uncertain about what kind of interaction I'll have each time I come in--especially when I eventually want a hoop--creates more anxiety than it's worth. It's disappointing because I truly believe the shop provides quality work, and Samantha has been wonderful. I just wish the customer experience had matched the quality of the service I received. I understand that tone and what I experienced was subjective, however, after seeing reviews others have experienced the same.

I went in yesterday to get my bellybutton pierced by Kayla and I went two years ago to get my nose…read morepierced and she was very friendly and nice but this time she seemed very upset and she was rude to me and my boyfriend who I brought with me. When she came out to even look at my bellybutton I said if I didn't have the right anatomy to pierce it I would get something else so she wouldn't feel like she had too, then when I showed her she got annoyed and said I couldn't get the one I wanted and I could only get the floating navel which is fine but then she got snappy when my boyfriend tried to hold my hand for a second because he thought she was piercing me and then when she went to pierce me she didn't even tell me when she was piercing me she just stuck the needle in. I knew when she did it that it felt a little tight but I just thought it was because she had just done it but after a couple hours i realized how much it was pinching my skin together and how much it hurt, I couldn't walk, bend over, or do anything bc of how tiny the piercing was. Not to mention she didn't use a clamp so she pierced way too much skin. I went to two different tattoo shops to try and get it changed out and every time I said I went to liquid chaos and every time I said that they said " oh you went to Kayla" the one shop told me that they had many customers come in unhappy because of how Kayla pierced them. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!
