I do not normally leave reviews, but I truly had a lovely experience with Dr. Kasper! I have low vision and an uncommon eye condition and she was very kind and professional towards me and did not make me feel like a freak show like other providers have. She celebrated the little victories with me of seeing the small letters, took the time to explain the photos of my eyes, and answered all of my questions. I will be back in the future!! read more

The co pay for my sons exam was $20 The office forced him to add and extra $39 for a picture to check his eye health...yes! A force charge. LensCrafters accepts prescriptions from other places, don't come to this eye exam office unless you absolutely need to. Per front desk, this office requires this no matter what and it's an extra charge as in the insurance point it's not a mandatory but an optimal treatment. UPDATE 01/07/2025: I received a call back from Regional Manager Brittany. Unfortunately, it appears that the lack of accountability starts from the top. Instead of attempting to address the issue directly, she placed the blame on my husband based on the front desk notes. Instead of resolving the problem, she continued to make excuses and took Alyssa's side without fully investigating both perspectives or listening to the call. Despite blaming my husband and me for issues that didn't align with the facts, she requested that I remove my review, claiming it had upset Alyssa. Shortly after, my husband reached out to Brittany for clarification about the call, and she admitted she was confused but still failed to show any empathy. It seems management is not providing the necessary coaching for their employees, so I believe this review serves a valuable purpose. If miscommunication is minimized in the future, it will help prevent anyone's feelings from being hurt by honest feedback. 01/04/2025: The front office staff is incompetent, and Alyssa doesn't take accountability for her mistakes. Her response is often "I'm sorry; there must have been a miscommunication." The "miscommunication" seems to be on her end because everything on ours was clear. For starters, my husband called on Tuesday and spoke with her to cancel his appointment because he decided to go with a different provider which she confirmed she had canceled. Then yesterday, he called again to confirm the cancelation of todays appointment because he recieved a reminder. Whoever he had spoken with confirmed it was canceled and that they didn't see anything for him. The receptionist also advised of MY upcoming appointment that I had scheduled online I believe the same day, which we found out today, they had canceled without my authorization. I'm unsure if it's because our names are similar (Coral & Cory), but there was no reason either of us would have canceled mine. Today, when I asked him if he had his exam prior to the appointment, he said he canceled it. He then checked his phone and saw it had not been canceled after all. He called the office again to cancel and asked why it hadn't been canceled when he called initially. Instead of taking accountability and correcting the situation, Alyssa responded, "I'm sorry; there must have been a miscommunication; if you don't show, there will be a $50 fee." He showed up to prevent the fee. Upon arrival, I brought up the issue. They offered to cancel todays appointment and waive the $50 no show fee if we wanted to reschedule. I declined and instead asked if they could waive today's $40 exam for the inconvenience and error on their end. All three girls behind the desk acknowledged my request, stating it would be no problem. Then, when we discussed my appointment's accidental cancellation, they apologized and said there is an issue with their online scheduling, that it doesn't always send confirmation/reminders. They then offered to reschedule my appointment for me, which I declined because I would need to check my availability first. Then when my husband went to check out after his exam, Alyssa charged him anyway. When I questioned the charge and my request to waive it, she responded, "Oh no, I can't do that. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding." I'm unsure what charge they thought I referred to because clearly, it wouldn't be for a no-show. There seems to be alot of miscommunication and misunderstanding on Alyssa's end, if she's clueless as to how to communicate then maybe she should redo training or take some sort of development class because her customer service and communication skills are subpar. When working in a front office, or customer service role in general, there should always be transparency and validation to ensure a shared understanding and prevent any "miscommunication". I will not be returning to this location for any future exams and will get my prescription elsewhere and continue doing business next door with lenscrafters for my frames because I always have a great experience with them. read more

Great Location inside of the mall next to LensCrafters. I have been coming here for years and the service is always top notch. I'm in an out and they have a lot of advanced features for checking your eyes which I like, after my insurance I paid $24. I highly recommend this location as it's right next to a LensCrafters. read more

I love all the people that work here. They are always prompt and friendly. Dr Dao is so knowledgeable. I have a medication that can effect my eyesight and she knew all about it and even mad suggestions for my eyes. I am generally in and out in 30 minutes. They are a well oiled machine. They also allowed me to fax my medication in rather than the painful state of going through them one at a time. read more

I've worn glasses for over 40 years, I've never had so much drama or trying to get my prescription correct. First of all, you go from person to person without anybody introducing themselves to you finally someone comes in, and just starts examination without even introducing themselves, I had to ask if they were the dr? Got my rx, and it was totally off.. went back for another exam and was told by Dr. Dao " that my eyes wanted to go back to the original prescription". What!!?!!.. could not admit that they messed up! Major attitude on the second examination, would never ever go back there again would never recommend her or the business .. Similar poor experience with LensCrafters next-door .. it was almost like a competition who is more incompetent! read more

Dr Dao is an awesome dr! This was my first time going to this dr. I've had problems in the past with my astigmatism not being right. The drs I've seen in the past sometimes move too fast in the exam & you can't tell what's better. I told Dr Dao this & she went slowly with me & even went back in to confirm that my prescription was what I felt best in before she wrote it for me. She took a full picture of my eye instead of dilation. This was cool! I could see what she sees. She showed me what my eye looks like & we discussed my eye health. Really cool! Here's my experience - I scheduled my eye exam online at LensCrafters.com, printed and filled out all of the pre-exam paperwork, and called the office to give them my insurance info ahead of my appointment. So far, so good. My appointment was at 4pm; I arrived at their office at FOUR minutes late (according to my iPhone). Not forty - FOUR!!! Only to be told that because I am late the doctor can't see me. In the words of their receptionist - "Because you are late, we'll have to reschedule. We don't take patients after 4pm." I look around and there are patients people waiting. One of them was just filing out his paperwork. The documents I had printed at home and brought with me... Keep in mind - I had an appointment - I wasn't a walk in. read more

Dr. Trang Dao, There was no confusion on my part between a contact lens prescription and a glasses prescription. The mistake was solely yours. Any Optometrist, who knows how to calculate a contact lens prescription knows that you can't get -4.75 and -4.50 from a glasses prescription that is -5.50 DS and -5.50-0.25x 134. That is just a clear calculation error on your part. I have worn -5.50 and -5.75 for years. Yet, when I tried to tell you that, you sent me out of the office with a -4.75 and -4.50. Any good Optometrist would admit the error and make it right. But, instead, you tried to charge me for another follow up making me pay for your mistake. Very unprofessional. read more

I had a great experience w/Dr. Dao. She was extremely thorough in her exam; explaining everything as she went. I've been to several optometrists in the area and she's been one of the few who didn't make me feel like another number. I will definitely be going back to see her for my annual! The LensCrafters next door is really convenient as I was able to immediately come out of my appointment and go pick out some glasses (which I love). GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! Horrible service and results! Got my prescription and took it over to Lenscrafters which is next door in the mall (LENSCRAFTERS IN HULEN MALL IS GREAT, BY THE WAY!!). Had my glasses made and couldn't see a thing out of them. The doctor at InFocus had written my prescription wrong! When I called them, they said that I would have to come back in for another test, but they wouldn't pay for my new glasses even thought it was their mistake that the prescription was written wrong. I didn't do anything wrong, so why should I have to pay for new glasses??? They wrote the prescription based on the exam they gave me. Aren't they suppose to be the professionals???? Lady doctor there is SO RUDE!!!! Take your money elsewhere where they actually deserve it!!!!! read more
