My procedure was cataract surgery. The surgery did not go very well. My first visit at the office of Ranelle, the waiting room was full and they were running patients thru like cattle, spending as little time as possible with me and maybe other patients. Come surgery time my appointment time was changed with short notice, (When patients don't give proper notice the doctor usually charges the patient a fee, I guess that policy doesn't apply to the patients). The phone number for patients to call if they had problems after surgery was listed on the patient recovery document. However, the number was not a working number. Patient paperwork indicated that the surgery was performed on the wrong eye, this error was later corrected. I was not allowed to have my relative in pre-op. This was allowed with other patients. The operating physician has a financial interest in the Park Hill Surgery Center. She is going to continue to have patients do their surgery there even though the Center has numerous problems because she has a financial investment in Park Hill. This seems to be a conflict of interest. When problems arose from the Anastasia the operating physician was not available, and WE had to find her. I was on the verge of passing out in the recovery room, but the staff kept telling me how well I was doing. There seemed to be a big hurry for me to check out while I was in recovery. I was told to contact April Holt at the Hill Park Center to discuss problems with the surgery. It's been over a week and she still hasn't returned my phone call. I tried to leave a review on Ranelle.com but the website would not let me do it. It appears to me that the Park Hill Surgery Center and Dr. Ranelle's office are more interested in their bottom line than their patients' health. read more

I like DR Ann but the wait time for your appointment is not good I think they overbooked. You can spend 2 hrs in there like nothing.

My mother (disabled and in a wheel chair) was 17 minutes late to her appointment due to multiple reasons. She is having major difficulty seeing anything even with her glasses on and desperately needs a procedure to clear it up. She has always had to wait over an hour to be seen, but that obviously doesn't matter to them... if you're even 1 minute past that 15 minute mark, they will make zero exceptions.... even if you are 2 disabled, elderly people who unfortunately had trouble that day getting there on time... and even if you once used to work with them (My father, retired RN... used to work with Dr. Ranelle years ago). From now on, I'll get them to wherever they need to go... but it will not be back to see Dr. Ranelle. read more

I am a patient of Fort Worth Eye Associates and have seen them over the years for both my vision correction and also eye health. I called today with a very simple question and was spoken to in such a rude way by the front desk staff (Mela?) that I am not sure I will be back. I have sent multiple friends and family members to this office but I am second guessing that now given how I was spoken to today. To top it off, she hung up on me. Both times we've been it's a quick check in and the office staff is courteous and has answered all if my questions. We are seeing Dr. Anne Ranelle, she is very efficient and answered all questions as did her staff. She was polite and was very sweet to my 6 year old daughter. The biggest draw back and the reason they didn't receive more stars is the wait time it's ridiculous. We got here 30 minutes for our last appointment and still had to wait 30 minutes to see anyone, combine for an hour wait. Also I was uniformed on our first visit that she would need to have her eyes dilated. What was supposed to be a quick initial visit it turned into a 3 and a half hour visit, this was including the time to dilated and see the doctor. The wait between seeing the technician and the doctor is about 20 minutes. read more

I had an appointment here with Dr. Tyler last month and had a wonderful visit!! From the moment I walked in I was greeted with smiles. The office was prompt and professional. I always dreaded the eye exam when they say "is #1 better than #2?" Etc etc. I always felt like I couldn't tell a difference! I shared this concern with my tech, Jose and he explained what I should be looking for and made the experience so much less stressful. Not to mention probably more accurate! I am on "Ambetter" Insurance through Obamacare. Ambetter lists this place of business as "In NETWORK" and I just got off the phone with Ambetter once again to make sure that Fort Worth Eye Associates is on their list. I spoke with Cassandra at Ambetter today and she looked it all up and confirmed that they are IN NETWORK. In November when we had to choose our Health Plan for 2018, I selected the plan that I did which included "Eye Care" as a result of seeing that "this" business was listed as such. It is convenient as it is almost next door to my dentist's Office. We (my wife and I) dropped in to make an appointment with an Opthamologist and IMMEDIATELY the person behind the desk "rudely" said "We don't accept that Insurance" when I showed her my card. I tried to explain to her that I chose the plan that I did because they "WERE" listed as in network. She wasn't having any of it and sent us packing with not so much as an "I'm sorry" or anything! A friend of mine has a spouse-type in the medical field and he mentioned to me that some places of business purposefully LIE and say that they are not accepting some insurances because their profit margins aren't as good. THIS IS CLEARLY THE CASE! Again, I just had it CONFIRMED by Ambetter that Fort Worth Eye Associates is IN NETWORK!!! This is despicable. Do NOT support this type of business that does things like this! They need to be investigated. I'd give them a Zero (0) if that was a choice. read more

I have been coming to see Dr. Ann for 8+ years and I love her but the front office staff is horrible!! They always have really bad attitude with patients. I'm not sure how they don't get in trouble for that. If I was rude to my patient I wouldn't have a job!! Won't be coming here any longer. read more

The front staff at this location is so unbelievably rude and uncaring. I suffered an eye injury and the doctor I went to in Weatherford referred me to this place. The doctor who sent me had his staff call right in front of me and asked them if this place could see me and they said yes. The referring doctor even gave me their card, but even so, before driving 40 miles out of my way with one eye, I called them as well and they also assured me I could come in and see Dr. Tyler. So I drove all the way over there, waited for them to finish their hour and a half lunch (in which the office is closed) and then went inside. I was in horrible pain by now. As soon as I arrived I told a women at the front desk I was the one the eye doctor in Weatherford called about. She said she did not know what I was talking about that no one called them. Another woman then came over and said the same thing. I told them I called them as well to make sure they could see me and they said "no one here has talked to you." (How would she know that without asking ANYONE!) I showed them the card the eye doctor in Weatherford gave me and the call log on my phone where I talked to them, and they still said no one here talked to you!! I do not keep one of THEIR cards in my purse, to a place I don't even know or want to go to, just in case I ever hurt my eye?? And I am showing a call log of THEIR number, seriously? Why would I go to such extremes and drive 40 miles out of my way in pain to come to their dinky and dirty office? One of the women then asked me who my primary care doctor. I asked her why, and she said," let me call them and we will see if we can work something out." I am thinking she is calling for an insurance referral or something? I really didn't know why she was calling, it was very confusing. Here they were arguing with me saying no one talked to them and then out of the blue she wants to call my primary. I just wanted to see a doctor! Keep in mind, I had several deep cornea lacerations and unbelievable pain, I just want to see a doctor! After sitting and waiting and trying to figure out why she has to call my primary care doctor, she finally calls me back to the counter and seriously in a childish voice tells me she called my primary doctor and they told her they didn't call, so I was wrong! WHAT!!?? IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO TREAT MY INJURY THEN LET ME GO! THEY MADE ME SIT AND WAIT THINKING THEY WERE GOING TO SEE ME, WHILE I AM IN INTENSE PAIN ONLY TO TRY AND PROVE ME WRONG? I told the genius again that it was an EYE doctor in Weatherford, not my primary care doctor in which I never even mentioned!! I never even wanted to go here to begin with! The only reason I did is that is where the doctor told me to go and THEY themselves told me they could see me. They ended up refusing to see me without an appointment and I ended up driving all the way back to Weatherford and walking into another eye doctor who got me straight back as soon as they saw my eye. They were horrified that I was denied medical treatment by this office simply because they were too concerned with if someone there had talked to me or not!? Who cares? I was there! I just wanted to see a doctor!! If only they would put all that wasted effort into trying to help people like they are supposed to instead of playing a childish and foolish game!! read more
