    Treadmill

This was such a cool experience! If you need low impact exercise, this is definitely worth a try. It's definitely different than a typical workout. When you arrive, you will have full instructions on how to control the treadmill or bike. You get fitted for a waistband and skirt/suit and then you start walking or biking. You can control the level of heat and vacuum pressure to your liking. I walked on the treadmill for about 30 minutes and when you get off, you feel a little bit like you are walking on the moon, but very cool experience and surprised about how many calories I burned! Afterwards, I got to use the massage roller. This was definitely my favorite part! The owner gave me a little bit of extra time as well. She was extremely helpful and friendly! I could definitely see myself coming back to do the massage roller on a regular basis Overall, very pleased with the amazing customer service and high-quality experience! The owner seemed extremely knowledgeable about the entire process and made sure that I felt comfortable the entire time.

Wow!!!! 30 min = over 700 calories ‍ Due to the snow, we had to reschedule our appt twice! Nina is so wonderful to work with. She and her husband Alex are a great duo in this studio. They explain the machine thoroughly before you start. They also check in to make sure you're doing okay throughout the session. I'm not one for treadmills, but this is totally different. You definitely get a workout without much exertion. Then 30min on the infrared body roller!!!! What a great feeling afterwards!!! We will be returning! Thank you YELP NC Triad & InfraFit!!!

I've taken a few days to complete my review. It took those few days for my body to recover and that is a GREAT thing. I wanted to fully experience the work I had done before giving a review. I was very woozy after my first visit and very sore the next day, but I worked it hard and knew to then focus on hydrating and a bit of rest. I've been curious about infrared light therapy for a while now and so when I saw place I was stoked! Nina was so very helpful and was able to give me loads of information. I am very into exercise and overall fitness. I already have a regular gym schedule as well as yoga. I work hard to stay limber and really fascia work is a big opportunity for me at this point and l am so happy to have found this. I have a manual roller at home but it in no way compares to the results I achieved in my 30 minute infrared roller session. The treadmill was interesting and a great workout, but the roller is what had me buying a package! Now off to tell my friends as well so I have a buddy to join me! Health is Wealth!

Awesome workout, great customer service, and cutting edge tech. Wins all around. I originally tried this spot during a promotional Yelp event, but loved it so much that I bought a package and returned as an actual customer. The treadmill experience, I don't know how to describe it, vacum-y and pretty toasty! You can adjust the amount of vacuum and heat. I kept the machiene at a 4 (of 4) for the vacum feature and a 2 ( of 3) for the infrared feature. The max heat is definitely something you need to work up to. The experience is fairly low impact and you can definitely tell that it was good for your muscles. I felt energized and really great both times I went. Also, the rollers are fantastic. The rollers are seriously more effective than a massage and I like that you can control the speed and location of the rollers. Having the infrared involved in those is awesome as well. It's definitely a nice experience- part intense workout/part spa experience. If you're thinking about trying it out- I'd strongly recommend giving it a shot!

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars! Nina is so wonderful and personable! I came initially on a yelp event and after going to that I bought a package! I love the infrared vacuum treadmills it helped me after my marathon relay along with the rollers! The treadmill and roller help with lymphatic drainage. The aesthetics are cute. Nina and her husband and wonderful and so accommodating! The pricing is awesome as you can purchase single sessions or packages! There is nothing else like this in Greensboro and I am thankful they brought this. I'll continue to go back because it's and awesome recovery day activity to add to my fitness plan! Don't sleep on this place it definitely exceeded my expectations and more!

I've now been back a few times and I've purchased a package as I just can't get enough! I've gone by myself, with family and friends it's a place you want to tell everyone you know and meet about it! Nina is the sweetest most dedicated, knowledgeable business owner! The workout is fantastic and the recovery is even better! A welcomed effect was the relief from hip pain that I've had for years. It's also relived my carpal tunnel pain in my hands and fore arms. When you walk in it's such a fresh vibe it's super clean and welcoming! Nina has thought about every little detail! If you're nervous to try something new I promise you'll walk out informed and feeling great and planning your next time in!

I was very nervous because I have not been to ANY gym in a long while. However, my host Nina made me feel VERY comfortable. She explained how to use all the machines like an experienced expert. She also had several bottles of water and a locker for ready for me . Since I had not been on a treadmill in a while it was hard, I could feel the heat (which you can adjust) and an occasionally pull while walking. I was actually able to complete the 30 minutes and I felt like I had a full workout. I highly recommend this place.

As for programs and equipment, The Club at Green Valley has Les Mills fitness classes (BodyPump, BodyAttack, BodyStep, CXWorx, and BodyVive), they have a great lap pool (it's not Olympic sized, but it's good for getting your laps in), a nice cardio room with plenty of treadmills, elliptical machines, etc., and a weight room. They also feature a unique program for young athletes called Parisi Speed School, which is a program designed to help athletes improve athletic performance, maximize their natural abilities, develop a higher level of self-confidence, and learn to prevent injury. Other new additions include a Jacob's Ladder, a new stair mill, and a Curve treadmill. Other amenities available are child care (for a reasonable cost), a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, and complimentary towels. There are two weight rooms, two circuit sets, and two cardio areas. Additionally, there is a yoga and ab area for those who want to stretch out or do their own workouts. They also offer an array of programming, including a full offering of Les Mills classes, spin, water aerobics, and small group functional training. There is no comparable gym in Greensboro, especially since The Club has two locations. I have been a member for over 3 years and would never consider changing gyms. Check it out, and ask what specials they have when you visit!

When I first started I had certainly gained some weight over the years which was only helped by a fairly sedentary job. I knew I had to make a change and I went to my first OTF class and I remember I couldn't keep up! I knew it was hard but something just told me to join and I did. Once I joined I started going twice a week and now I have worked up to consistently going 4-5 classes per week and I love it. For the first time in my life I feel strong and I have way more energy than ever. Since joining I have significantly improved my fitness level, lost weight and decreased my body fat. The Greensboro location has such a wonderful staff working there and they make you feel so welcome. They offer classes every day starting from 5AM to 6:45PM so it can work with any schedule. Orange Theory Fitness offers hour long classes that you can sign up for very easily on their app. Once you join you are able to visit any location they have across the country. Each class you will spend time on the treadmill, rower and on the floor. Orange Theory Fitness is designed to focus on your heart rate using their heart rate monitors that you can purchase if you choose. Throughout the room there are TVs that show your heart rate, how many calories you've burned and how many minutes you've been in the orange or red zone (only your first name so you can be anonymous very easily). It's ideal to be in the Orange or red zone at least 12 minutes out of the 60 minutes in your class. Here is how Orange Theory's classes work: Treadmill: You can decide if you want to be a power walker, jogger or runner. They also have a bike and strider for those with different abilities which offer less impact. No matter which you choose you will find out what is your base pace, push pace and your all out. Each machine has a chart to help you get started. The coach will be there instructing you the entire time so you will know exactly what to do the entire time. Rower: The rower is a great, low impact portion of class that works your entire body and offers both strength and cardio. Again, you will find a base pace, push pace and all out on the rower all with the instruction from your coach. Floor: This is the strength focused portion of class where you have access to free weights, TRX straps, ab dolly, bosu ball, resistance bands, Reebok bench and body weight exercises. The free weights range from 5lbs to 50lbs+ so no matter your level of strength you can find an option for you. Each portion of the class the coach will demonstrate what you will be doing, offering alternate options for those with different strengths and abilities, and there are TVs reminding you exactly what to do. Overall I would highly recommend joining Orange Theory Fitness and the Greensboro location is a great place to start. There are people attending of all different ages, races, physical abilities and it is a very motivating environment. I was someone that went from not working out in years to where I am now because of OTF. I would highly recommend giving OTF a try!

Get a real sense of community and family here. Classes are full. Coaches are great! I love it here!read more

I don't know why this is still around since Mike Carr died back in 2017, but I'll say something…read moreabout it. He ran a third-rate Americanized karate class out of a room he was renting from a dance studio. Every October, he would joke about having us give him all our Halloween candy to the point I'm not sure it was 100% a joke. He would constantly encourage us to buy his "instructional CDs," which were just him doing basic techniques while trying to look cool, and "training weapons," which were just stuff like cheap foam nunchakus, floppy rubber sais, and random kickboxing gear. Instead of actual promotional items, those of us who attended tournaments were given random Asian-themed patches he kept in his gym bag. He also opened up a sports camp, but he couldn't get enough people to be councilors, so he said anyone who was at least a brown belt could be a councilor. He had me working for him for free while my parents were paying for me to be there. Most of the activities were just letting the kids play games outside or watching movies inside, so there wasn't actually that much to do, but it was still illegal. One time, after a class where he had humiliated me in front of everyone for messing up a kata slightly, I told him I thought even I could have run the class better than him, and he grabbed me by the throat and slammed me against the wall. My parents didn't seem to believe me when I told them, but I will never forget that moment for the rest of my life. Part of me was glad when they announced his death in the paper.
