I'm not used to shopping at Ingle's. The store was huge and had many great options for seafood, deli, wine, meat, etc. employees were very nice and they have a huge selection of food. I feel like the store needs an uplift and look. Other than that- it was a pretty great store. read more

We had to stop in for some provisions while staying at an Airbnb and this market seemed to be the closest in the area. For one thing, it is HUGE and full of pretty much every item you can want. Take advantage of further savings on the low prices and get an Ingle's card even if you only use it once. I did and it saved me some money on the purchase of the items we got that day. I would definitely shop here if I lived closer, it was clean and the staff was friendly. read more

Does not contribute to the health of the community of Fairview, NC. Emphasis is on sugar, flour and junk food. I used to do a little shopping there as they carried a wonderful plant based sausage pasta sauce, now discontinued. Now I trek to South Asheville to Whole Foods and Publix to buy healthy ingredients for our meals. If they had even a small separate section with non-obesity causing food I would venture back. I'm sad to leave a review like this in this day and age. The service I received in the meat department at the Leceiater store today was deplorable, dismissive, and undeniably racist. After I politely waited while the clerk finished wrapping raw chicken, I addressed him asking if anyone could help. He replied yeah sure but you have to ask. Did I not just ask? The snark was not necessary. Very quickly he realized he couldn't help me and got a supervisor. The supervisor listened and understood what I was asking and was able and ready to help me. Then steps in a store manager who lectured me about theft and made feel as if he thought I would steal a whole rib loin from them. The insinuation is offensive and appalling. Needless to say I am a large brown skin man. I have been shopping at this Ingles for years. It is my neighborhood store. However this is the last time me or mine will shop here. When almonds are sunken and shriveled like this, they're inedible. These plastic tubs were filled and priced by the store, but even the almonds in the bin itself were mixed with old and visibly past-their-prime ones. Pathetic. I have been shopping at Ingles for 3 years now, since I moved here from the upper midwest. I was very impressed with the size and cleanliness of the store. Since moving here, I have had 2 surgeries, an ankle replacement and and knee replacement. Curbside pickup has been wonderful in my situation. It is so easy to place your order and let them know when you arrrive, they bring it out to me. "They" being Kay and Beth (who no longer works there) have been great! and so friendly! I haven't had any problems with getting my groceries and truly appreciate the curbside service. read more

I've been a regular shopper at Ingles Leicester for over a year now having moved to NC from Florida. When I first went in I was really pleased at the size of the store and that it is a short drive from my mountain home. During the last year prices are really inflated and unaffordable (like everywhere) but they continue to advertise "low prices." They need to adjust their gas rewards program, which is 5 or 10 cents off per gallon that costs $4.50. Last year during the height of fake COVID cures they had an entire display of Borax across from the pharmacy which made me bust out laughing. Today I came out of the store and a guy was sitting at a table with a picture of a handgun literally making his sales pitch. Same day as nationwide March for Our Lives rallies. I'm a tolerant person but I'd really rather not deal with this when I go to buy some milk. read more

Refuse to enforce mask mandate. As someone with an immunocompromised husband with CF and two young kids who are considered 'high risk', it's ridiculously inconsiderate when it's mandated for a reason. It's also worth mentioning they can't even keep simple things like Gatorade or Duke's mayonnaise in stock for weeks at a time. The only positive thing I can say about this store.. the pharmacists are wonderful. They genuinely seem to care. read more

this review is regarding the pharmacy . my son is disable so his 84 year old father came to ingles pharmacy to pick up his meds. because his farther could not remember the exact date of his son's birthday they treated him like scum. they didn't try to be helpful or offer to call the customer who has been with that pharmacy for ever. they were mean mouth to him. and told him not to come back there again. told him to go to Walgreen's. and therefore I will not be back to that store again. read more

This review is regarding the pharmacy. They were extremely rude, only filled half my prescription and said it was because I had previously had it sent to Walgreens (which was closed today). So I had to cal my doctor and get the other half of my prescription sent to Ingles a second time only for them to tell me "I already told you this morning we don't have that dosage here". By far the nicest ingles in the area!! I've been coming here for years!! I've had several positive experiences with customer service including cashiers/managers/pharmacy/stock/meat. One particular incident to highlight, I needed a birthday cake last minute expecting to be turned away, but those bakery ladies really came through for us. I had a Jurassic park cake for my 7 year old son within 20 minutes!! They did not have to do that, and since they don't accept tips I personally spoke with the store manager (also consistently friendly and helpful) to brag on them. The only reason this ingles lost a star is because I feel like the older generation cashiers get less help with bagging (young boys seem to flock to the young "pretty" cashiers) which distracts the girls and leaves the other cashiers with no help. Also, I get consistently bad customer service from the deli. I'm not sure what the issue is.. but they are always distracted and don't seem to want to be bothered by customers. The handful of times I've ordered from them (usually while waiting for prescriptions) there is never even so much as a hello. Just a blank look like.. "hurry up, why are you bothering me." Literally everytime. I don't know if they are overworked or what, but this has been a consistent pattern for years. Other than these issues, it's usually a great experience coming here and I go out of my way for this particular Ingles. read more

Good ole Southern supermarket and particularly a North Carolina mainstay. A cross between Wal-mart and your everyday Stop and Shop. There's not much to dislike but not a whole lot to love if you are a food and produce snob like myself. They definitely have the essentials for a meal. Normally my favorite Ingles, this visit featured two high-school employees bickering about social media and ignoring my attempt to check out and go home. After five minutes, they finally begrudgingly acknowledged me and were rude with me throughout the process. I understand that many of Ingles' employees are young, however, I'd much prefer if some of the older employees had a watchful eye on them as opposed to allowing customers to be treated like dirt. read more

Terrible customer service in the front end. Cashiers are either carrying on in depth conversations with other staff and ignoring the customers until they blurt your total or just not speaking to you at all with pissy-looks on their faces showing they don't want to be there. I have spoken to management, but I get a "so sorry, I'll try to talk with them," but it never gets any better. This store has made me a customer of other grocery stores and Ingles ought to be ashamed to put up signs talking about great customer service if their management doesn't train staff to actually use it. The customer service at the New Leicester Hwy store is outstanding. Workers go out of their way to help you when you can't find something. A very large variety of products that will fill most of your cooking/eating needs (kind of light on health food products, but still a very large selection). This Ingles was convenient for me, it had a friendly atmosphere and decent selection until they decided to jeopardize my safety, privacy and comfort by allowing my abusive parents (without any type of law enforcement, missing person's report or court order present) look at and take pictures of me and another person shopping, putting groceries in our car and leaving the parking lot from their security tape. I left my parents home weeks ago because for two days straight (not counting the years and years of this behavior) I was verbally abused, threatened and told to get out. They are very aware of why I left and that I do not want contact with them. I am a few short years away from thirty, I am an adult, I deserve to feel comfortable and safe while getting groceries but this Ingles violated that. A manager was contacted the day after I was made aware of what they'd done, he used the excuse that he was not the manager that had been there or done it, that there are five managers and has yet to call back to give any type of reason this was allowed to happen or any apologize from the manager responsible for this. I will not be shopping at any Ingles location from now on. read more
